Great review pat. I found your take on this site interesting because while our tastes in porn are quite similar there are a few differences that can be seen by comparing our views on the site. If anything, I'm now thinking that maybe I scored them a few points too low.
Condoms aren't a deal-breaker for me, but my preference is to not see them, but I do respect Wicked for the position they've taken and obviously enforce.
The biggest difference I found between Wicked and many other porn sites is that Wicked really makes 'traditional' story-based porn. That's rare these days. I wonder how important that is to a lot of viewers. For some, it might mean that Wicked stuff can be viewed as couples porn, but for me, I have to confess that I just skip ahead to the sex.

To be fair to the site, it's just a guess that it was compromised there. It could have been elsewhere. Tomorrow will be a week without a credit card. I didn't realize how important that is until I don't have one.

I may have been a bit harsh on the site since it really could have been any transaction that caused the problem. It just seems like a bit of a coincidence that I use a site without a biller and shortly after that my card is compromised.
No huge inconvenience... a new card is on the way. The biggest inconvenience is setting up a few monthly debits for newspapers.

I like some of Rodney's work but given how old much of his stuff is I guessed that the site would still reflect a ten year old design. Thanks for confirming that. Surely they could put some effort into the site and improve it to make this classic porn better. JM Productions has the same problem.

I agree with you about Evil Angel. They're one of the best sites on the 'net and the best studio site I've ever had a membership to. I join them more than I join Videobox.

Thanks pat. I can live with that. I was worried that it might be months before a DVD got posted. Although with the buzz around Lexi's anal scene there are pros and cons for them putting it on their site. The pros are that it will drive memberships for a while, but the cons are that it might divert DVD sales. I'm still surprised at how healthy the porn DVD market seems to be. A lot of guys still seem to avoid porn pay sites - but then just having my credit card deactivated due to fraud might indicate the reason that some stay away.
As for Lexi's anal scene, I suspect I'll have to watch it on a VOD site first anyway.
I've also read that Jenni Lee did an anal scene. Brazzers, I think...

Thanks for the comment. To be honest though, none of the sites here are true gangbang sites. Hardcore Partying is probably the closest to being a gangbang but while there may be dozens of people in the room only a few are fucking. In most cases there are three to five girls and they each take on two or three guys. Their fun to watch, but not true gangbangs. Think of them as mini-gangbangs with some exhibitionism thrown in for good measure.

Thanks for the informative review. It isn't a question of if I'll join this site, but when. I've had some questions about the site and your review has answered a lot of them. I'm surprised that the site is this small given the huge amount of porn that Elegant Angel could upload. That's a bit of a disappointment to hear.
Do you have any idea of how long the time is between a street release and the DVD being uploaded? Their new title "Lexi" is due out soon and as it contains Lexi Belle's first anal scene I'm looking forward to seeing that. I suspect that I'll wait to join until they upload that. But I suppose they could never upload it or do so a year from now. And from what you say, just because the DVD is in the preview section doesn't mean it is on the site.
After a few really bad site membership choices lately I need a good one.

Watching porn on TV is rare for me, but on one TV I had a WD HD thingy that I use and on the other I have a 20' SVGA cable that I plug into my laptop. I prefer the laptop because the WD thing only reads codec 9 in WMV files. Many of the scenes I have use older codecs.

I’ve got mixed feelings about this network. On one hand, its large, with over 1800 scenes spread over 37 sites covering the usual porn niches of teens, cougars, lesbians, MILFs (if those differ from cougars… I don’t know), big dicks and interracial. They also have some relatively rare sites with group sex in a party setting. Probably the only major site niche they’re missing is anal, but I promise I didn’t let that glaring oversight affect my score or review. Another advantage to this network is that it does offer exclusive scenes with some of the best known porn models. If you’re looking to add new scenes of your favourite starlets you should consider a membership here.
On the other hand, updates are few and far between for such a large network, and many of the sites don’t update at all. Because the scenes aren’t dated in any usable way I can’t really provide more definitive information, but it appears that only ten sites are regularly updating, with another four that may be occasionally updating. By ‘regularly updating’ though, I don’t mean that it is regular as in a set schedule. As of the date of this review the last update was nine days ago. The network updates by adding one scene to the network at a time. So if you join the network for a specific site you may find that site doesn’t update or doesn’t post an update for the month you’re there.
As porn, this is just standard-fare stuff. That isn’t meant to be an accolade or a criticism, it is a simple fact. On most of the sites the porn looks just like the porn on other similar networks. The production values are up to normal standards. The network’s production values don’t fail it, but neither do they set it apart.
The network’s main page shows you the most recent six updates. This is the only place where there is an upload date associated with a scene. From there you can go into the individual sites or search for pornstars. I didn’t find the search function to be especially useful, but there is a pull-down menu of tags and that works well. Be advised that the tag menu works on individual sites too, so if you have the After Class Adventures site up and use the ‘anal’ tag it will sort just that site by anal. Using the search function to do that will give all the anal scenes on the network even though you’re just on one site.
Opening a scene brings you to a separate page. My biggest complaint is that the scene starts downloading the streaming video immediately and automatically. I find this to be a big bandwidth hog that I don’t want. To the network’s credit though, the scene doesn’t start to play automatically. At this page you can stream or download the video. I’ve criticized sites in past reviews for only offering mp4s since I prefer WMVs, so it’s only fair that I criticize this network for only offering WMVs. Customers should have a choice.
An issue with the downloaded scenes is that they are only available in one resolution. In some cases, presumably with older uploads (remember, no date info is available) the resolution is 320x240 at 906kb/s. These are almost unwatchable by 2012 standards. Newer files come in at 1280x720 at 3100kb/s. Both resolutions play at 30fps and are in WMV 9. The site really needs to remaster their older stuff and offer a lower resolution option for people who don’t have the bandwidth to download a large file. Apart from the lowest resolution scenes, they look good.
In a comment from last year, insomniacxxx stated that some scenes labeled as HD aren’t. This is still true, but it may be that he and I noticed this on the same scenes. I saw some 320x240 scenes that had the HD logo.
Photos are available for most scenes, as singles and zips. The resolution isn’t bad, but not great, at 945x630.
The network allows download managers and I had download speeds comparable to similar sites.
The site bills internally and doesn’t use a third-party biller.
So would I recommend this site? Without a doubt I definitely would, but I’d make sure that a prospective member realized that it isn’t perfect. A member gets access to a lot of good porn for an excellent price using the TBP/PU discount. I realize this isn’t a glowing review, but it is a decent site that could see some improvements. |

When I was a member the limit was imposed on me and was usually imposed lower than the 10GB limit. I reviewed the Terms of Service and found the applicable clause to be vague. I still do. I contacted the site and asked for clarification on how they interpret that clause and did not receive an answer. Even if they didn't respond to my specific email, you'd think that if they saw the confusion here they'd weigh in and provide some clarification.
The vague element of theTOS is what are "big movies". The TOS makes it sound like the daily limit is 25GB, but I never experienced that. To further complicate matters, the way you're downloads get reactivated is also confusing. My recollection is that after 24 hours I didn't get my 10GB back, but only got it back over a period of hours. So if I hit the limit at 10PM on day one, I wasn't given 10GB at 10:01PM on day two. I was given some download ability but would quickly hit the wall again and have to wait an hour or so before I could download more. That was frustrating enough, but to add to my frustration was when I would read comments from other PU members who reported no limits.
I don't think I'm an unusual PU in what I download, but with file sizes approaching 1GB and fiber op connections becoming more common I think a lot of people would find a 10GB limit low.
I'm not opposed to limits, but they need to be realistic, clear and evenly applied. This site lacks those elements. That's too bad too, because I liked the content and would rejoin otherwise.

Great review. I wouldn't consider myself a video 'snob' by wanting decent quality, but this stuff from years ago just doesn't cut it anymore. Like you, I wouldn't download anything with this low a resolution unless it was something I really, really wanted.
