BDSM is a gem in the porn industry. It’s often presented as a bondage precursor and our minds even see bondage, whips and other contraptions when thinking about BDSM. We just are not fully aware of BDSM when we think that way. Regular porn scenes, cookie cutter even, employ BDSM with typical gender roles of the male being dominant and the female being submissive. We just do not think about that being BDSM.
Damsels in Peril pushes the genre forward by having damsels in peril, but not just to men. Some scenes have one woman dominating another. This at least breaks the monotony of men dominating women. The flip side of that is the basic beliefs in BDSM and domination/submissiveness come from age old beliefs in human nature.
Where porn usually strays in BDSM is in humiliation and degradation. A dominant being does not want to hurt their subservient submissive. It’s just to a viewer, the need of physical visualization is often required to see the dominance. Damsels in Peril is one of the better sites at not needing extreme degradation or humiliation.
Scenes are often including bondage ties on wrists and feet, some gags, but the action shows more enjoyment and arousal than degradation and humiliation. It’s one of the hardest parts of viewing porn based on a concept. The director and producer has to figure out a way to convey the “weakness” of one and the “strength” of the other.
As a good example of this, if you ever watch pegging porn where a woman wears a strap-on and uses it on a man, that is a very easy to see form of who is dominant and who is submissive, but maybe it’s not that simple. What if the woman doesn’t want to wear a strap-on and the man loves being pegged while getting a handjob?
Damsels in Peril fixes that – for the most part. Their models are highly effective actors and the scripts or actions if not scripted, come across as authentic.
I mentioned the con for the download limit. I have seen it listed as 6GB per day. I have not tried to download that much and would rather not hit it anyway. I usually download a few scenes each day and try to give every scene a fair chance to earn a spot in my collection. That is one of the strengths of BDSM porn. What may not look like a great scene based on the preview could be the best BDSM scene you have seen in a long time. The chemistry between the actors and as important, with the producer and director, is what makes a great BDSM scene.
Better known sites have tried the formula, like Pure Taboo and Deeper, but the viewer’s level of interest in the BDSM aspects are the only way to know if the scene is good or not. My interest heavily revolves around the actors and producers seemingly being on the same page. I want to walk away from watching a BDSM scene thinking the dominant one has to be satisfied with the result and the submissive has to be satisfied with the result.
Damsels in Peril is an excellent site all by itself and stands on its own, but currently they are providing access to F-F-Fights and FemmeFight, neither are sites I would normally join, making them both very good additions to Damsels in Peril.
Because I am not convinced of the importance of the types of models in BDSM porn, it is worth mentioning – the models, in the scenes I have watched are excellent in this type of porn and seem to be genuine to their role (dominant or submissive). It takes quite a few parts to come together to make a good BDSM scene and these are some of the best I have seen! |

This site excels in many ways. The production is some of the best and the casting is nearly perfect. An in-between pro/con for me is this site likely shows the blurring of reality and fantasy. It shows the strengths of that blurring and the weaknesses.
To explain, this site has just over 1,200 videos. A very high number for a believable and realistic BDSM site, but a small number when compared with some of the BDSM networks that are more in the mainstream realm of porn. This site shows the pro of superb casting when compared to a mainstream BDSM or Femdom site. The majority of these scenes cast a very masculine male with a pretty, feminine female. Mainstream BDSM and Femdom do not. It isn’t unusual for mainstream BDSM and Femdom scenes to look completely contrived and unbelievable to a fan of the genres, but to the majority crowd, those scenes are more about the niche and genre than believable casting.
For my viewing palette, I want to see a female who isn’t imposing lure and enticing the imposing male into doing things he usually wouldn’t do – things like being pegged. Femdom Empire is excellent in this regard. If you are more of a beginner in this genre, you won’t likely even notice that and just the niche alone will be enough.
Most mainstream Femdom sites just assume the viewer is convinced of the believability of the niche. For those fans, a site like Femdom Empire might not shine as much as it does for me. I want to look at the male and female and be convinced by their actions, they want to be dominated or pegged or have their orgasm ruined.
There are multiple daily updates though it could throw a red flag up. I am not that invested in updates or the need of. You will notice the best video download quality is HD. You will also notice the number of scenes hasn’t increased that much for a site that has been around for 12 years. I am not going to let that affect my score. I do not require updates or highest download quality, but if you do, you should take note of this paragraph.
I like everything about the site and content. This site shows how the attractiveness of a female, both mentally and physically, can overpower the natural-born dominance of the masculine male. You won’t find that or feel that in mainstream BDSM or Femdom scenes. It could be simply explained that these scenes feel more natural and less scripted than the majority of BDSM and Femdom scenes on other sites.
It’s a great site and I would even say genre-defining site. |

As a female who considers herself dominant and have been told that, I find most BDSM sites to be far too tame and too polished. English Mansion takes a different approach. It’s my belief that BDSM porn sites started as porn sites needing a niche and BDSM just became trendy thanks to a few mainstream movies. The problem with that is those of us that feel dominant and even are dominant, I see the BDSM porn as just porn. The intensity, the passion, are lacking in most sites.
English Mansion comes closest to making me feel like it truly is a femdom site first and a porn site second. It is even my belief there is no way a site would have the size of collection English Mansion has unless it’s a passion.
It does work like a porn site. There are video downloads, pictures and downloadable pictures. There is a Domme list to find your favorite domme or dommes. The site works well considering the highly varied content. It would be easy to think it would be hard to find the content you are looking for, but it is not.
This is not a new site. It has been around long enough to be celebrating their 20th year anniversary this year. Not only are there lots of high definition scenes, there are also virtual reality scenes. This is only one of two sites I regularly use a VR headset with. I have the Meta 3 VR headset and it works excellent with the English Mansion VR scenes. There are nearly 400 VR scenes, The total videos equal over 1,000 hours.
This is a further explanation of how English Mansion differentiates itself from other BDSM and femdom sites. The average BDSM site tells you what is happening in each scene and you watch what feels like highly scripted porn. English Mansion just lets you watch as the different methods, kinks, come out. Because of that, some of the scenes might be a little more extreme than you are used to. My ex-boyfriend found the “dick stomping” scenes just a little too real and painful to watch. I too am not that far into the domination and prefer the scenes where the female just leads the male into everything she wants to do, sans stomping dicks.
I would like to believe femdom is about the empowerment of the female, not just the degradation of a male. And that too is what most BDSM sites cannot figure out. English Mansion at least comes close to accomplishing it. The site is beyond unique. I have not found a site even remotely similar to it. It is not a site I join that often, but do try and join 1-2 times a year. Some of my favorite scenes are the ones with the younger and newer dommes being trained. These young women show and empowerment I rarely see in porn. I definitely can recommend it to anyone intrigued by realistic roleplay with dominance and submission. |
