FWIW, VLC media player has an option to take a screen shot and save it to disk. Shift+S on windows and it's saved at My Pictures Might be useful if you just save the picture as is. | |

Similar thing happened with an anesthetist in Spain in the 90s. He had Hepatitis C and would inject himself with morphine prior to using the same syringe on patients. He did it for 10 years and 275 patients were infected, 4 dying because of it. Him being a doctor, it's even more appalling. During the trial, he would said he didn't consider Hepatitis C to be a disease. | |

In case anyone's interested, I ended up trying Reality Kings on my TV and couldn't even get the login prompt. Guess my Samsung Smart TV web browser doesn't support showing the usual login/password prompt because clicking the "members login" button always takes me immediately to the login error screen and I see no prompt. Maybe the mobile site will work because. I'm afraid, though, the video quality won't be HD on the mobile site. Full of sorrow, I moved on to BangBros Network because I remembered you don't login through a prompt on their regular site. Good news is it was fairly quick to enter login and password, get to the latest updates using my remote and start playing videos in HD. Not sure what the High Definition streaming version resolution is but it was the best looking porn video I've ever seen when I set it to full screen (some surgically precise cursor movements were needed). Not only that but the pause/play buttons on my remote do work without issues! So, to sum it up, if your favorite site doesn't have a login prompt, give it a try. Right now, it's very cumbersome to move around with the cursor but, if you stick to the "links" mode, it's quite fast to move around. Your patience will most likely be rewarded. Happy Thanksgiving!, even though I fall into the happy Thursday PU user bucket. Thanksgiving is not celebrated here but some companies are pushing hard to establish our own version of Black Friday but they don't call it like that and there's no justification for it. It's just a Friday where they try to make people buy things. Maybe they think some sort of materialist psychic vibe coming from the other side of the Atlantic will affect us all. For instance, Apple's local online store sent a newsletter earlier this week announcing some sort of big savings for tomorrow Friday. They did the same last year and they rarely do it at any other times. A popular physical store, in fact originally from France, is also announcing big savings for tomorrow for no reason. I might use some of the Black Friday porn discounts, though. | |

My TV has a web browser in it that plays flash movies quite efficiently. I haven't tried watching porn but guess I'll have to and follow up. Reality Kings is a likely first candidate. Believe it or not, it has a privacy mode like a desktop web browser, so you may opt for not having your porn browser history remembered. The main drawback is input. Entering an URL has to be done through an on-screen keyboard; you have to move around with the direction buttons on your remote and click the enter button on your remote for each and every letter until the url is complete. My kingdom for a keyboard (or 150 USD for a Samsung approved one last time I checked: not any USB keyboard works). My advice: bookmark the site immediately or you'll just give up entering it all again. If you have to click something on the screen, it's maddening. There are two cursor modes: one where you hop from link to link using the direction buttons. But, when you have to access the video controls (play, pause, etc), the hopping mode doesn't work and you have to resort to a free cursor one where you move an on-screen cursor around with the direction buttons. Getting to place the cursor on top of the always small play/pause icon is quite a test to your patience to say the least. I'm not sure how it will work with password prompts. I'm curious to see it. Or not. I kind of fear it. Oh man, trying to enter the password is gonna feel like an hour long unrequested BSDM session. | |

For the record, Elegant Angel members site is scheduled to start releasing the scenes from the movie Lexi on October, 9th. This particular anal scene with James Deen is scheduled for the 10th and all 5 scenes should be available by October 13th. Elegant Angel offers files up to 1920x1080 with no DRM restriction. I have in the past complained about the several months delays of Elegant Angel in making scenes from new DVDs available on the members section so these dates look somewhat faster than usual to me. I'm not sure about the inclusion of most of Elegant Angel's DVDs in the list. If it's for the shooting style, certainly Elegant Angel and X-Art.com could fall into the same genre of softer tones, white linen productions but Elegant Angel's content is quite varied and there are blow bangs, rough sex and lots of anal. More like classy, extremely well shot yet traditional gonzo. I honestly don't see the appeal of those replays I accidentally watched a couple Minecraft 2 replays of that sort youtube suggested me a couple days ago and I just watched some of the Gassy Mexican replays and confess they left me quite cold. Maybe it's because I haven't played any of those games myself.There's a guy named day9 who hosts an almost daily show on Starcraft 2 and he regularly hosts "funday mondays" where he asks people to submit games following constraints he sets (like try to win by just attacking enemy workers, by just using a particular unit, etc.) and that does make for some funny replays. As for your "infuriating" tactics, they are often referred as "cheese" in Starcraft 2, which I've always wondered why they are called that way. I approach watching replays of eSports pros like watching sports on TV. I know I'll never bend it like Beckham (I won't either wear a suit while driving a motor boat across the Thames at night nearly as well as he does) but it's still fun, for me, to watch soccer. In the case of Starcraft 2 I've seen quite professional replays from tournaments. I recently watched a whole bunch of replays from a tournament (Intel Extreme Masters at gamescom in Cologne) where they had two pairs of commentators that alternated in casting the endless amount of games. They even had a guy doing post-game interviews with the winners. Of course, there were also people behind the cameras that were filming all of that. I don't know if it was the case but there are tournaments where it's not the commentators but someone with "observer" tasks who is in charge of moving the viewpoint around, like a traditional sports producer keeps choosing cameras to capture the best image at all times and the commentators just do the talking. The winner of that tournament (a 21-year old Korean who was sponsored by LG) got 6,000 USD (someone said he's the top earning player and he's made around 300k throughout his career) and the runner-up (a Polish youngster sponsored by Acer) got 3,000 (USD). | |

Never got any webmaster feedback at all but I've seen a couple times smallish sites being delisted from PU shortly after a non-favorable review of mine. Some time ago, a site was even completely taken down from the Internet hours after my review. It's probably just a coincidence but in my review I was saying that it was very much worth getting a membership to the site instead of buying the videos one by one at a cam site where the model was selling them. AFAIK, the model is still selling videos from the taken down site one by one at that cam site. | |

I believe the maximum a model may get at Live Jasmin is a third of her per minute listed price. Since most models work for a cam studio, they have to share that third with the studio owner. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they have to go 50/50 which would be the .35 per min you mention from the 1.99/min listed. To make matters worse, Live Jasmin uses regional pricing to charge users but models get payed in $ regardless. So, a user in Europe would be paying €1.99/min ($2.5 nowadays) but the model would end up getting $.35 (14% of what the user paid). It kind of puts things in perspective. Middle men do win. I've personally never had a thing for erotic stories. I've bought, though, via my Kindle a couple porn related books, showing the vision of people inside the industry. I see that Amazon Kindle has a big Erotica section. I'm not sure what kind of barriers to entry they set but it could be a route worth exploring. I read somewhere that authors, non-erotica ones, that hold digital rights for their short fiction sometimes put individual stories on sale apart from their collection. You mean you weren't aware there were widespread floods in Thailand at the end of 2011 that severely affected the HDD supply chain there? Thailand produces 25% of the world's HDD. They are the second largest manufacturer, China is the first. As the badandy400 link says, though, prices are dropping but unlikely to get to pre-flood prices in the short term. | |

Sorry to bump a 100+ days old topic but yesterday I remembered this thread when I came across Eve Angel live on cam at My Free Cams. I'm certainly not the biggest fan of Ms. Angel around here so I'd appreciate if a fellow and more knowledgeable PU member could take a look at her webcam and confirm it's really her. Her current alias there is EveAngelBabe and she seems to be online during late afternoon to late night, Europe time. I found it interesting that she was sitting there with a half empty room and trying to learn how the site works, with no sound, very bad lighting and a very questionable cam position choice. But, in any case, I'm certain the hack into Brazzers Network that originated this thread was not the first nor will it be the last hack into an adult site. | |

Thanks a lot Ed2009 for the info on what pay site owners have access to regarding customer info on ccbill. Since, as I said, I've received spam using my real name and a one-time email alias I used only once to sign up for an adult site, I gather not all webmasters think as you and some harvest email addresses from their members. Whether the resulting spam comes from a website hack, a mail list sale or comes from the site themselve is certainly debatable. IMHO, I sincerley doubt a company that has a well-known network of adult sites comparable to Brazzers would send spyware or phishing emails to former members. | |

I've been receiving spam that contained my real name for so long that I wonder if there's any site that isn't already hacked. I'd like to know how much personal information apart from real name and email a website owner has access to. Ed2009 says that ccbill doesn't provide that info to webmasters but I've just checked my spam folder and there are several spam emails from the last month with my real name and an email address of mine that was only used to join a particular site and it was via ccbill. I doubt that site is the one spamming but, whether they sold my personal data or someone hacked into their system, it's pretty obvious ccbill offered them access to my real name at some point whether they knew it or not. | |

It's an interesting concept even though it's impractical for anything but pictures. I just noticed that amazon is offering all its customers a product called Cloud Drive. You get 5 Gbytes of storage for free. In the US and other countries, you may upgrade at a price of 1 USD per Gbyte per year : you pay 50 USD, you get a 50 Gbyte cloud drive for a year; 1,000 USD, 1 TByte for a year. I browsed the terms and conditions and it looks like that when signing up you are saying that you own the copyright of the content you upload and that you give Amazon full rights for accessing the files; not the ideal scenario for storing my porn. | |

I'm not sure what kind of shows there were on that site you mention but, IMHO, it's a very tough call. If you're looking for boy-girl, I'd suggest Live Gonzo: you get different types of membership although, on the join page, it looks like membership gets you at most up to one interactive live chat access, meaning you may see all the shows they do but you only get your voice heard once a month. I'm unsure about how good the times might be from Europe. There are also companies that let you see them while they shoot as part of the membership. Puba.com is one of them. You get boy-girl, girl-girl and the occasional solo. AFAIK, they don't have the interaction restrictions of Live Gonzo and the times are very good for Europeans. I believe Brazzers Network also let you see some of the shoots but what I remember from when they started you had to pay an extra. It's a very softcore alternative but it also comes to mind Cam With Her. A couple years ago, they had a membership section and had daily non-nude shows for members, although most were at Europe-unfriendly times. Those models also did 1 on 1 sessions on a per minute rate. Most likely, your ISP issues you a dynamic IP, meaning it will change by simply restarting your router, among other reasons. Because of this, it looks very unusual that a site would require you to access it from the exact same IP you signed up from. My bet is that the message doesn't say the real reason why you can't access the site. If members were only allowed access the site from the same IP they used to sign up, Sinnistar's support email would be filled daily with people with problems due to ISPs completely normal IP management. | |

I doubt this is something where our incomparable, yea unimpeachable administrative empowerment had any part in. Modern browsers have been showing for some time discrete red jagged lines underneath words they believe to be misspelled. Browsers usually have this feature enabled by default in all fields where users may enter text. Right clicking anywhere in those fields should bring up a dialog where you may turn the feature on and off. | |

I'd say watermark but make it unobtrusive. If someone wants to steal the pictures and repost them somewhere else, they most likely won't bother with removing it. No need to make the watermark pretty: your URL in a white typeface with a bit of transparency might serve. But since your content seems to include amateurs, maybe you should take into account that someone might use individual pictures around. But it's hard to avoid them cropping somehow to avoid showing the watermark. As for zip files, pictures inside zip files are usually the same that are available to download individually. If you offer higher sizes only as zip files, watermark them the same way. | |

At one point during this year I would have said Tiffany Thompson. But looking around the net for some of her work apart from X-Art I came across several public complaints from people in the industry on her (lack of) professionalism. Her behavior on My Free Cams (she goes by TlffanyT - yes, for some reason, the second letter is an L-) made me realize she doesn't care much about fans either. Despite her absolutely gorgeous looks, her personality and attitude made me lose all interest in her work and her alleged official site Tiffany Love. | |

One reason could be the potential number of viewers of what you do. Once you do a scene for a pornsite, it's available to be seen anywhere in the world. Working as a camgirl, you may theoretically limit what countries the clients may come from (camsites let models block countries or regions by IP address). Also, unless you work for a site that is OK with public shows, what you do may be seen only by the guys taking you private. Much less exposure. As for the money, some girls make a lot of money webcamming. Not every girl but some certainly do. Likely to the point that what they make in an hour of webcamming is more than what they'd get per hour doing porn. | |
