I have two 1000GB drives, but I only use one of them. The first one is backed up onto the second one once a week to help protect against data loss.
More importantly, though, what I really use is a single 700GB truecrypt file. Truecrypt ( http://www.truecrypt.org/ ) if you're not familiar with it is a big encrypted file that you can then mount as a drive. When it's not mounted, no one (and I mean no one, the encryption is really strong) is getting in there. If anyone else uses your computer, I think it's pretty key to use something like TC to keep people from stumbling on your stash. |
