Cybertoad, When you say you were a member there do you mean you put in a request for an invite or that you received an invite and actually created an account for the site? I don't recall seeing you over there so I don't know what account name you might have used. If you want to hit me up in email with your account or the email address you used, I'll be happy to look into it further. I don't think we've had any kind of purge of user accounts. If it comes to it, I can get you an invite code to get into MyPorn. Hi Merc77, you're kinda preaching to the choir here. You just recently joined PU so you might not be aware that I managed PU from it's launch until it was handed off to the (very capable) Rabbit's team last summer. So yes, I agree 100% that PornUsers is a terrific resource for users. I put a lot of heart and soul into PornUsers so I certainly wish it nothing but good for many, many years to come. Thank you so much messmer. Coming from you that is especially high praise. We're working very hard to create a site that is good for users, adult webmasters, and the industry as a whole. Feedback from early testers (like you good folks from PU) are a tremendous help is achieving that goal. Hey folks, I've been poking my head in from time-to-time and am happy to see Amanda and the Rabbit's crew taking such good care of everything after the transition. Hell, they even got a raffle re-started and I know you've got to be loving that. See, I said I was leaving you in good hands. BTW, we have their permission to make this post so no-one is stepping on any toes. Well, we told you we'd keep you posted on what's happening with MyPorn and that's why I'm here today. There have been more than a few delays and the site has evolved a lot since it was first planned. But, we're excited to let you know we've officially launched MyPorn for alpha testing/preview. It's not open to the public yet. In fact, so far it's just been webmasters and industry insiders who we've let in. However, we're at the point where we want to bring in a handful of end-users and your loyalty over the years has earned you top of the list privileges. Besides, we can't think of any group of folks who are more expert in using porn sites than you. We would love to get some feedback from you porn experts on how you think things look early on. So here's the deal ... I have some invite codes to give away to some of the regulars here. We'll want you to look around the site, test out the bells and whistles, and let us know what you think. To make that possible and by way of saying thank you for your time and effort, we're giving those selected $100 US in free credits to use to check the site out. To get an idea of what the site is now, you might want to drop by MyPorn.com and watch the short introduction video. Yes, Amanda, Khan would pin the thread for the first few days. It generally worked best if the interviewee answered just a few questions at a time rather than the whole block at once. This usually led to more detailed replies. We also encouraged other users to drop in any questions that came to mind. Obviously, anything that made them uncomfortable or they felt was too revealing was to be skipped. It was designed to be a fun way for users to learn a bit more about their fellow users who tended to be the most active. Glad to see they're making a comeback. For the record ... In the old system the number of tickets awarded was tied to the points earned for a review. Thus, an excellent review earned 3 tickets while less detailed reviews earned less tickets. It is very encouraging to see Rabbits is looking to bring back a raffle of some type. Kudos to them!  An interesting aside ... When polled, users repeatedly said their participation here wasn't because of the raffle. Yet, when the raffle went away so did a lions share of user participation. There's a good chance I'll still be wandering around PU for a short time yet but before I'm totally gone, I wanted to take a moment to say a few things. I've been with PornUsers since before it launched for beta testing. I've watched it change and grow over the years. It has grown into something that, in my opinion, is quite unique on the web. A large part of that has to do with you, the core users of PU. Sure, I like to think that, to some small degree, I've helped you get more out of PU. If I haven't, I can only say it was not from lack of trying. But you are the real heros that go a long way to making PornUsers what it is. For that, I thank you. I know that after we discontinued the raffle and Rick announced MyPorn, the participation at PU went downhill somewhat. I hope that even though Rick's attention was shifted to MyPorn, that you never felt that user support here at PU was forgotten. It wasn't. Since it opened, PU was the first thing I check on-line in the morning and the last thing I checked before turning in at night ... often in the wee hours of the morning ... nights, weekends and holidays. It was the least I could do to ensure our users had the best experience possible. But what I really want to stress with this post is this ... I have managed online communities of one kind or another since the mid 1980's. Yeah, you read that right, 30+ years. I've managed communities that covered a broad spectrum of interest. From the new member forum at CompuServe to a private community for MiscoSoft VIPs. From ya-ya new-agers to adult webmasters in the early wild-wild-west days of the web. So, it goes without saying, I've see all kinds of communities and user interaction. And yes, most recently, a community for people who sign up for adult pay sites. Having seen all that, I can say ... without any reservation ... that the group of users here at PornUsers has been the best of the lot. Despite discussing topics covering many otherwise taboo subjects ... and despite the polarizing attitudes on certain niches ... you have been the most adult, the most considerate, and the most civil group of any that I've had the pleasure of managing a community for. So I want to say a most sincere thank you. Over the years we've weathered a few storms and dealt with a few who did their best to cause hate an chaos. But even in those worst of times I knew I could depend on you, the core users here, to help keep PU from turning into just another of those online forums where bickering and name calling are the everyday norm. So, for your patience and support during those times, again, I thank you. I'll be keeping an eye on PornUsers for a long time to come. What can I say, old habits are hard to break. From time-to-time, new owner's permitting, I may jump into a discussion or two. Of course, once it opens you'll also be able to find me sweeping the floors over at MyPorn.com. They'll be forums there and I certainly hope to see a few of you poke your heads in to say howdy to an old friend. Over the years, I've had email exchanges with a number of you. Pyrenees, Not to take away from your question to AK but rather as an FYI ... The system already has a mechanism whereby you can suggest a review for a specific site. If you look on the sites main TBP listing page (where the site facts are) ... from the PU listing page just click on "TBP Review" ... look for the section labeled "Review 2.0 Status" ... you will find a sidebar "Nominate" where you can nominate the site for a review. Obviously, the decision to actually review the site will be up to the new management and the reviewers. Hope that helps. Hi folks, I wanted to chime in here. I've been quiet on the transfer of PU so far but that's only because I didn't want to distract from the important message that Rick and Rabbit were sharing. Please don't read anything negative into my quietness thus far. Today I want to share my take on who the torch is being passed to. To be truthful, unlike Rick, I don't know Rabbit personally nor do I know Amanda so, to that extent, I can only vouch for what I've come to know, along with my gut feelings, having worked closely with them over the last few weeks. First off, I was thrilled to learn that Amanda had many years working within the adult industry. Taking on this task would have been daunting to a total newbie but, to someone who is familiar with the industry, the transition should go very smoothly. I have also been extremely impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication that Amanda (and the entire Rabbit's team) has shown during this training process. It seems obvious to me that they are, in fact, extremely dedicated to continue TBP and PU at the level of quality that you all have come to expect. Along with the training, I've spent the last few weeks bragging about how great our core users are. I'm confident that, after getting to know you, they will see that my words were not empty boast. They'll see for themselves why PornUsers has come to be known as the most civil online community there is. I'll have a little more to say on a personal level before I go but for now, I would like to add this personal request ... As the Rabbit's team is learning, our systems are quite intricate (mainly the behind the curtain stuff). We are all scrambling to ensure that they can keep everything running smoothly. In fact, I've never seen two companies work as close as we all have been working together these last few weeks. However, I have no doubt that, as they learn, they will run into things that haven't been totally covered. So my request is this ... when those times happen, please extend Amanda, and the whole Rabbit's team, the same patience and support you have shown me over the years. I'm confident that any snags will be short-lived but your patience and yes, at times even guidance, will help keep those times as stress free as possible for all concerned. As always, thank you for your continued support of PornUsers. P.S. As far as passing the torch, I'm very comfortable passing it to someone as dedicated and capable as Amanda. I have no doubt that she'll do a wonderful job managing PU. I'm sorry to report that Sir Christopher Lee has died at 93 With more than 150 film credits to his name, I was a fan of his work in many of them. I suppose I remember him best for his work in horror movies. Actually, there is a PM function here though admittedly, it sends an email through our system. The catch is, each user decides for themselves if they wish to receive private messages. As it happens, the two users you mention have opted not to receive such messages. User LPee23 has not opted out of those contacts.
