I'm sure there are dumb porn stars. I'm sure there are brilliant porn stars. I've met a number that were quite witty and fun to chat with. Stormy Daniels is a very cool straight-shooting woman. She's a lot of fun to chat with online, at least, likes to talk about her relationship with her current bf, which seems to be a good one. | |

I remember one episode on Playboy where a porn star had invited a young fan, who talked to her at one of her public appearances (AVN?), to one of her shoots. He was handsome, had expressed interest in getting into the business himself so she did everything she could to get him to SoCal. I remember reading this somewhere a few months back. The only real conclusion I came to was that Stormy Daniels is, in fact, a complete fucking bitch. She seems to be actively insulting most, if not all, of her fan base. Not to mention, those that are true porn connoisseurs. Her attitude in this "interview" seems to portray her with an attitude that says "I'm a hot porn star, and you are a complete moron." Am I the only one that sees her coming off as bitchy and self-absorbed with these answers? | |

Quoting PinkPanther, Stormy Daniels seems to be "witty and fun to chat with". If you're going to be a porn star, you need a strong attitude. I'm not a fan of hers (I'm much more into pix than vids, and softcore over hardcore), but I don't read what she is quoted as saying as insulting or even rude. There are plenty of people out there, in the real world, who appear to be a lot more obnoxious than Stormy Daniels. | |

I really didn't see it that way,Cpmx. I saw it as a put down of the porn star, or just plain stupidity, on the part of the questioner(s). Those were stupid and tactless questions except for # 3! But I can see where someone else might read something else into it. | |

Stormy a complete fucking bitch? No, but she's not a Madison Ivy type either (Madison refers to herself as "your favority cum-slut". I think Stormy thinks highly of herself and likes herself as a person and if a fan is going to interact with her, she wants to be interacted with as a human being. She knows she does porn. But there's more to her than that and she wants that to be acknowledged if people are going to interact with her in a way that she would appreciate. That's what I get out of it. | |

I've never followed Stormy's career so I don't know much about her except what I've read here and there. What may be a great frustration to her is the fact that she wants to be liked for herself and not the fact that she's a pornstar. The problem is that people only know her as a pornstar or stripper and therefore the people she usually meets are going to be fans of her stripping or porn acting. I don't know if what she wrote was meant as jest or she was serious. I guess some will take it as a joke while others will think she's a bitch. There is not much she can do about it. It must be weird for pornstars to meet their fans. Afterall the reason they like you is because you probably helped them jerk off. Long live the Brown Coats. | |

Most of these comments I agree with and do give me a good sense, as a customer, of the legitimate concerns of porn performers. However the one below is a real deal-breaker where I'm concerned:
Uhhh, isn't the point of porn supposed to be that you masturbate to it? For whatever reason people who enjoy masturbating to photos or videos of others having sex/nude will enjoy porn. And doesn't everyone understand this? So it is a little disappointing to see that a porn star considers someone who is obviously an enthusiastic fan to be "pathetic". Maybe it's just me, but it makes me have second thoughts about giving my money to an industry that has such a low opinion of its customers. It's a bit like going out to eat at a fine restaurant and then being told by the chef that you are "too pathetic" to do your own cooking. Granted, if a guy stalks a porn star, that is wrong just like any other stalking would be. But if--in a legitimate forum for interaction between porn stars and their customers--a male customer indicates his loyalty as a customer by the fact that he uses porn in the way it is surely intended--why is that considered pathetic? Surely this is behavior the porn industry would want to praise--and perhaps put a better "spin" on than society generally does--if it values itself as an industry? This type of attitude makes me realize that, ultimately, porn is a luxury, not a necessity, and maybe it is time to consider spending more of my hard earned discretionary dollars on an industry that has more appreciation for its customers. No you are not the only one. I had a similar reaction although it was #5 that was the real deal-breaker for me. Most of the others could be seen as funny but--maybe there are limits on my sense of humor--I find it difficult to laugh about being called "pathetic" for being a loyal customer. The problem with #5 is that--if you read it carefully--she is calling all of her customers pathetic--not just the ones who articulate it--even though she prefers people to remain silent about their "pathetic" behavior. | |

Exactly. And if a porn star has respect for her customers, she will handle this topic in a tactful manner--not call someone pathetic because they exhibit typical behavior for porn customers. | |

The obligation to treat others as a human being is a two way street. Indeed I would argue that in a professional situation where someone is paying for the services of someone else that--while there is a responsibility to be courteous on both sides--the initial gestures and courtesies should be extended by the side providing the service. If a fan masturbates to her performances in private, that is a normal human reaction and indeed the reason why she is in business. If she cannot handle this basic truism of her industry in a tactful manner that respects the customer's humanity, then something is wrong. | |

You are absolutely right and it makes me wonder if a porn star would really give an answer like that to a fan. I also wonder if the writer (Emily McCombs)didn't embellish the remarks a bit? But then I never heard of Stormy Daniels, so anything is possible. I looked at some of the questions and thought, how rude of the questioner, but looking at # 5, that rudeness goes both ways. | |

I agree here. I am betting quite a few girls who get in the business do so at least partially out of wanting attention, up to and including guys waxing their carrots to their work. Okay, maybe they don't always appreciate the "Hey, I have hurt both wrists and replaced my carpet five times because of you" comments but the idea that every porn star objects to fans' masturbatory enthusiasm and support sounds ridiculous, not to mention hypocritical. It would be like Quentin Tarantino saying he's a pacifist and objects to fans enjoying the action and violence of his films. I am sorry but the point of porn is--well, it is not to keep people's minds off sex, that's for sure! In fact, I would go so far as to say that if a star doesn't have at least some of her fans masturbating to her then there's something wrong. I don't live near any porn stars and will never go to any convention, so I won't be getting any opportuninty to meet them, but I doubt I would say any of the above. I might even become speechless if I met one of my favorites. I think I would say "I enjoy your work" instead of saying something like #5. I might tell them my favorite film they performed in. I'm not sure what a "real date" is either but I'd imagine seeing someone have sex in almost every way possible might change how you would ask that person out. For one thing there would be a lot more blushing!  I honestly don't know what I'd say if I met a porn star, seeing as I don't like crowds or convention type gatherings, or even really have any favorite big stars, though I would probably try to avoid what most of this list already covers, plus a couple of others. "Are you really married? I thought the ring was just for show," and "Can I direct you in a scene? Here's the script," are probably some ones to avoid if I ever met one. I'm sure all my blushing and voice cracking would keep me from asking too many dumb questions, but maybe I would get myself together and ask a really geeky porn question like "Remember your second scene in '______ part ____'?
