We've completed our first list of PornUsers.com Upgrades, most of which are very minor. Improvements generally suggested by users via e-mail or through poll replies. Here's the list of completed updates: 1. The edit period for reviews and comments has increased from 7 days to 30 days. Follow-up notes to reviews or comments can then be added after the 30 day edit period has expired. 2. Trust Rating comments and replies has been increased from 150 character to 300 character max. 3. The comment "type" has been removed. The user-selectable type was simply a general category selected when users submitted a new comment. These types (like Beware, General, Question) were a little redundant and we felt they were just taking up space. It should make submitting comments more convenient. 4. Domains and URL's are now automatically linked by our system when detected. So domains or urls starting with http:// will automatically be linked. This applies to reviews, comments, and replies. 5. Porn site names are now automatically linked to it's repsective site page here at PornUsers.com by our system when detected. This applies to reviews, comments, and replies. So from now on, if you reference a site, it'll automatically link that site conveniently for other users. That concludes part 1 of our site update. Here's a list of items that we'll be testing and implementing over the next week or two: 1. Trust Rating Comment Requirement (for negative trust votes). We've mentioned this feature would be implemented, and now's the time. What seems simple, is actually a very complex change. Each comment will be moderated by admin to assure the comment is legit (and not like random characters, etc). 2. Top Recent Sites Section. This was recently suggested by a user and something we think is a good idea. We'll feature the recent highest rated sites on our homepage and add an option in the Browse Sites section to view site rankings based on pre-determined time preferences. |
