We're happy to announce the addition of "Trust Ratings" as the newest feature to PornUsers.com. We feel our users are going to find these very helpful in deciding which reviews are from someone who's judgement they can trust. From the time we launched PornUsers, we've been receiving feedback about how biased, one-sided reviews hold little value when it comes to helping other users determine if a site is one they want to join. As we've discovered, all reviews are not created equal. While it's understandable that certain users are strong fans of one or more pay sites, their comments and reviews tend to read more like promotions than as objective remarks that others can base their buying decisions on. We don't want "fans" to feel like their comments are not welcomed, however, we needed to provide a tool so regular users could know which reviewers tend to be "on the money" with their remarks. Trust Ratings should help resolve this dilemma. So what is a Trust Rating and how does it work? In essence, the Trust Rating is simply a way to allow the community to judge for themselves who's remarks are trustworthy based on that user's activity. In other words, can the reviewer's remarks be trusted to be accurate to what others will find if they visit a site. Here's some of the specifics: - All ratings are anonymous - Each user can rate all other users - You can rate each user only once (the rating is for the user, not a specific remark) - You can change your rating of a specific user at any time - Only uses can enter a Trust Rating (Webmasters don't get a vote) - A user must have 5 Trust Ratings before they're assigned a Trust Score We've made it easy to cast your rating. You can do it from any Review or Comment made. You'll be able to see another user's rating on each remark they make or by visiting their profile page. We're hoping that Trust Ratings will encourage all users to write credible reviews. At the least, they'll add another layer of information that users can rely on when deciding what pay sites they want to join and which they'd rather not.
