This has to be the most excited non-feature upgrade to date. lol It's finally here! Based on this poll and all the e-mail feedback, a reason is now required when submitting a negative trust rating (to another user)! This was far more complex of an upgrade than anyone would expect, which is why it took this long to get it done. We needed ample time to prepare and actually execute it properly since the system had to be maintained while entirely re-constructing it from scratch. So here's how a NO trust rating is hanlded from now on: 1. Negative trust ratings require some sort of reason in the comment box. A valid reason, even if it's simple, must exist. 2. All negative trust ratings are moderated, but will always be pre-approved. So they will go live immediately and may be removed if the reason is not valid. If a trust rating is not approved for some reason, it will be removed and you will get an e-mail notice (if set in your e-mail preferences). 3. Invalid comments are judged as words/characters that explain nothing. The reason just needs to be something the end user will understand. It could be an opinion or state facts about the user's feedback. 4. Negative trust ratings can still be anonymous. We felt this was important to the trust rating system's success. 5. All previous negative trust ratings prior to November 19th will still exist, comment or not. All new or changed though, must have a comment. 6. All positive trust ratings still do not require a comment. HINT: You can also view and edit all your previous submitted trust ratings by visting the Edit Trust Ratings page. This is accessible from your Edit Profile page or at the bottom of the submit trust rating window. Must be logged in for those links to work. Thanks for everyone's patience.
