While videobox offers several updates per day, so much of the content is weird stuff like midgets and squirting and fat chicks that it may be 3 days before there is something you want to see. Also, most of the content are those tiresome scenes with interview-masturbastion-dude shows up-sex with nothing to grab interest. Personally I prefer a bit of a storyline.
I cancelled my second subscription (8/2008) just in time, as it seems they've started to bandwidth limit downloads. Its too consistent to be congestion, and I simply can't get more than 700Kb/s on any download from there site. I've confirmed that i can download from other sites. Unfortunately, the speed that they allow isn't fast enough to watch DVD content in real-time, so its a huge negative. |

joined this site again and te download speeds seem to have improved quite a lot. there is also a beta of the site which is being tested which makes the site quite a lot better than it used to be. the price is also unbeatable for the amount of content |

Do I recommend this site? You bet I do.
For anyone who's Interests in acquiring as much porn as possible in the shortest time and at the smallest cost, then this is clearly the best option.
The website is nothing short of excellent, users can download videos in various qualities to suit their connection speed and videos can even be cut in different places so one can download little bits that look good from the previews.
No one can complain at 5 new DVDs per day either, even on the weekend.
The only three things that should be taken into consideration before you join Videobox: Do you have 1TB of hard drive space? Trust me, you'll download a lot and the files are huge. Also, be aware of this if your ISP has a transfer cap.
You can browse the site content before signing up, which is a good idea as some of the categories have more content than others.
Probably the best Adult DVD downloading site all things considered! |

The really great thing that differentiates Videobox from any other adult site is its interface.
Most sites feature a '90s style, slow, cluttered, non interactive interface that has been designed in a couple of weeks by some bored guy hoping for his task to be over fast so that he could go back playing World of Warcraft.
Videobox, instead, has the most sophisticated interface I've ever seen on a video site.
Movies and scenes are part of an extremely accessible and detailed database. Scenes can be downloaded with a mechanism that allows you to just download the segment of the file that you have previewed that you might be interested in.
Download options are more than enough, and can fit to most kinds of internet connections.
Dvd-quality files are probably the best quality ever seen for videos on a porn site but they are...useless. Each film would often add up to more than a couple of GB if downloaded at the highest quality.
The variety of movies is also a plus: every niche is represented and contains more than one can download in months. |

I know this site is the "darling" of all the professional reviewers, probably because of the very reasonable price, but quite frankly, I would rather pay more for higher quality content. There are many videos I wouldn't download for free unfortunately, but it is funny reading users comments about this. Having said this, there are good videos there, and the price can't be beat. Being able to crop the videos to taste is a big plus, and downloading is fast and easy. |

- Some clips regardless of it's "high" resolution setting still have the sharpness of a cheap VHS tape. Some "classic" clips are like this.
- On occasion you will find wrong stars are listed for a scene, and even if you are specific trying to find a certain star using the search, the results will still give you names you weren't looking for. |

As with any dvd site like this, the real downside is the tremendous amount of hard drive space some of the files can be. It is very possible to have less then 10 scenes downloaded, and already have blown a whole gig worth of hard drive space. Regardless, this site is unbelievable. I've burned so many data DVD's worth of porn from this site cause it overloaded my hard drive. If you have the speed and the time, I say go for it. |

I only have one problem with this site, but it's a big one. I bought the "DVD-quality" subscription, hoping to see better than average quality, but that wasn't what I found. All the "DVD-quality" videos I downloaded were 640*480 pixels, which in my book isn't high quality, more like average. I was hoping for something like 960*540. Even in "DVD-quality", videos are looking blurry in fullscreen.
I recommend this site for people who prefer quantity over quality. |

I first joined videobox back about two years ago. I usually prefer solo or multi-model sites over DVD sites since I don't have a lot of fetishes.
I would still rate videobox the best value for your money IF you are just in the video collection group. There are no pictures, which I didn't list as a con since it is a site named "video"box. I do think the ability to cut videos is a great feature, especially for those with 56k internet, on the other hand, I wish they would give us that have fast connections the option of just downloading the whole DVD with one click. I think that is only fair.
A lot of what I like in porn is the sensual, tease side of it, so I have no reason to cut the early parts out of the clips. The selection of videos is getting better by the day. Something that I think videobox had a better vision for was the comment section on the videos. Some are funny, but most just annoy and often change my mind about downloading a clip.
I also have problems with my download manager working with the site. It will do fine on 3-4 clips, then it will stop and say, "invalid login name" on the manager, even though I have the name and password stored on it. I tried recently with around 200 clips in the manager while I was at work. It finished 8 of them, then stopped. Another DVD site that I reviewed does the same thing. All in all though, if it movies you want, this is the best choice to start with! I recommend it especially for new porn downloaders. |
