DarkX is one of the five sites included in a membership to the Xempire Network. The other four are All BlackX, LesbianX, EroticaX ,and HardX.
DarkX focuses on what porn defines as interracial, which is black men paired with white women.
In a break with the usual narrow definition, there are seven Asian models out of the total of 161. I think that it is very hot to see them paired, but you won’t find many sites that have those scenes. The stars are almost all American, but I did see a few Eurostars. There is a nice variety of ages and body types. Any site that has Cindy Starfall and Valentina Nappi gets my seal of approval. The number of MILFs and even older stars caught my attention.
I have read that doing interracial with black male stars is somewhat controversial in the porn industry. These porn stars may not represent a cross section of white or Asian pornstars, but they most certainly include a great number of well known stars.
The talent pool of black pornstars is quite small. It seems that it is required that they be very dark and quite large down there. You will see superstars Prince Yahshua, Sean Michaels and Jason Brown in many scenes. Many times people sign up for interracial sites expecting major male stars and this site delivers that very well. They all have tight, muscular athletic bodies. The tag “monster cock” pulls up 126 of the 222 videos.

My only complaints are that there is a prechecked cross sale when you sign up and there is advertising on the member’s pages.

Dark X is the third independent site from the acclaimed director Mason. This site is in addition to her other excellent sites, Hard X and Erotica X. If youre familiar with either of those sites youll know that if Dark X follows in their footsteps it will be a great site.
I dont want to sound judgmental, but I dont really understand interracial porn as a stand-alone niche. For one thing, it seems that interracial in this context only means a black male with white female. In the real world couples from any race can pair up. But what I dont understand is why these interracial scenes couldnt simply have been added to the existing Hard X and Erotica X sites since those two sites do have interracial scenes. But, for some reason, interracial porn seems to be a big thing right now and I cant fault Mason for wanting to capitalize on that.
The porn itself is up to Masons usual high standards: the models are A-list and beautiful. The women are all white but there is some variation in age and body type. The scenes are all well produced with good lighting and editing to best show off the models. I wouldnt go so far as to say this is couples porn but it isn't misogynistic either. Credit that to having a woman as the director for giving these scenes a lot of heat and still appeal to a broad audience.
There are currently 29 scenes uploaded, but that needs a bit of an explanation. When the site began it added a new scene each day for a short while. That makes sense as it gives members a reason to join. The current update schedule is one scene per week but the overall number of scenes is augmented by the addition of some bonus interracial scenes from Hard X and Erotica X. These are actual bonus scenes in that they dont count as the weekly exclusive update. As of today there are 21 Dark X scenes, six Hard X scenes and two Erotica X scenes.
For those like me who like anal sex scenes, there are six exclusive anal scenes and an additional four from Hard X.
Like its sister sites, this one is laid out well and is easy to use. There are different ways to sort the scenes and you can choose a specific porn star or common niche. There is a search function but the site is still too small to really test that. I found that just being able to sort by star and niche was sufficient.
Each main page has six scenes with each having a large photo and information on the scene including the model, the scene name and the upload date. Each of those opens into a new page where youll have a description of the scene and options to stream or download it. For both streaming and downloading there are a lot of options. Both offer seven different resolutions: 160p, 240p, 360p, 480p, 540p, 720p and 1080p. The downloads are only available as MP4s. I wish other sites would offer this many options. I downloaded the 720p files as those are a good compromise between file size and video quality. The bitrates are just shy of 5000kb/s (though a few were as low as 3500) so they look good on a 24 monitor.
There are some photos available but it is fair to say that these are secondary to the videos. The photos are good quality but there aren't many per set and those appear to be screencaps. I didnt see a way to download them as a zip.
The site allows download managers and I found the download speeds to be at least as good as other comparable sites.
Some may not see the value in joining such a small (but growing) site even with the TBP discount but that would be missing out on some excellent quality porn. The scenes are all well produced, shot and edited and all of them feature the best stars in the porn industry today. This is definitely a site that Ill rejoin. |

The site features a large list of girls with varying body types, eye/skin/hair color, and different nationalities. They all give very good performances with the women who have been in the industry longer typically giving better performances. That being said Even the less experienced are still good.
The male talent is limited, but quite good. If you have watched any other interracial pay sites you will see some familiar faces.
New videos are uploaded roughly every 2 weeks and offer a number of different qualities and file types for download. They even preview new videos up to a month ahead of time. The videos are very good quality in terms of audio, lighting, sets, and direction. |

This is another of the X Empire sites. It’s not a bad site at all. I do have an admitted problem with the male talent named Jax Slayher. The rest of the guys on this site do their jobs well. This Jax Slayher guy, he is this generation’s Lee Stone, not with a broken dick. Stone liked to step on the model’s face. Slayher likes to cover the faces with his hand. I don’t know if he’s uncoordinated and needs to balance. Look at the model list, he is in 23 scenes so you can subtract those from the 266. The worst part is, they seem to cast him with the female models I really like, like Ember Snow. I do believe it’s because most of the scenes are cookie-cutter. I don’t think they even think about the casting. They probably flip a coin or maybe they have literal pissing contests to see who gets to be in the scenes with the prettiest models.
The cookie-cutter concept to these scenes makes it where the big selling point is the female model. I said it before and will always believe this, the most important part of a porn scene that’s not a fetish, is whether you’re attracted to the model. That can overcome a lot. The scenes follow a similar script. The scenes are almost all in the same house or a house that looks the same. They have a couch that appears in more scenes than any of the models. I don’t know if I need to explain the script. But here goes: Starts out with some touching, a little kissing, and by 2:30 she’s sucking his dick. She will spend 4-6 minutes gagging on the guy’s dick. It just skips him giving her oral. And jumps to somehow, anal with fingers in the pussy by the 8 minute mark. The anal lasts for 22 more minutes and the scene is over. The navigation is very good but as mentioned it can be confusing. The reason is they have a section called “Partner Scenes”. These are sites that they have licensed content from other sites that Gamma is partnered with including Team Skeet, Joymii and SexArt to name a few. The problem with that is most of those sites have better production in their scenes. The results of the category searches include the partner scenes.
I don’t think that would be as big of deal if I could figure where the rest of the scenes are that these sites are supposed to have on them. This site says it has 511 scenes. When I click on it, it has 266. All their sites are like that. There’s plenty to work on here. You get some of the top female models in the world. Have very good technical quality. Is it that hard to count the scenes? Or hire someone to say, “You know what, the last 200 scenes we filmed followed the exact pattern.” This network as a whole is good but it wears on you to the point that when you’re nearing the end of your subscription you’re glad.

DarkX have now racked a few years under their belt and are beginning to establish themselves as one of the more well-known interracial porn sites, but are they a prime example of one? No, but they are certainly competent in their craft.
I like the premise of their content, well produced and filmed in a professional manner tied with stories that are decent albeit generic. The filming is by no means perfect though. I’m not a fan of how zoomed in some of the cuts are and how much time is dedicated to those moments; I’m well aware they are aiming for a distinct style that is dynamic, but this isn’t the best way to go about it and for me absolutely spoils certain scenes to be brutally honest. Seriously, these (lengthy) close-ups of random bits of skin, faces or genitals do nothing to enhance the experience in my opinion. It's fine if it's for a few seconds but they seem to make it much too emphasised and overwhelming for my taste. I wish I could see both bodies more often rather than seeing the guy or girl partially cropped out of the frame. Some shoots also have dreadful lighting of which I have no idea what they are trying to achieve, it doesn't make things feel more real or intimate – only a select few scenes did the dimmed lighting actually work. Also, to jump back on the distinct style, some of the older shoots look they’ve been produced for HardX but with the DarkX label plastered on it. I can tell as HardX is shot with a rawer approach with rougher edges. Seems to be a conflict of identity but this isn’t so apparent in their recent content so I’ll give them a pass.
In terms of site functionality, this is where I believe DarkX seriously excel at and despite its blemishes I’ve outlined above, they must be praised on what generally appears to be a fantastic user interface many other sites seem to neglect. It is very good, to be able to add markers, create my own playlists and use a dropdown box that contains both model names and tags makes it very comfortable for me to enjoy a service just how I, as the user wants. Having a porn subscription should be a cruise, so it’s good to see a site that caters to the user with no major hassles or bottlenecks – even cancelling was a quick and easy process. I also believe their images deserve praise too, there's plenty of them and I love their take on solo imagery as the girls look gorgeous and are enveloped in great lighting. The action consists of no lazy vidcaps, nor do they mislead you into scenes that never actually happen. There are some issues with what some may think are missing image sets, but they aren't actually missing. That is certainly an element of the user interface they can improve upon as they should make it easier to locate them - to find them just look in the "Cons" box for more details.
To sum up, I do recommend DarkX despite my thoughts on their irritating filming habits as I understand that this is highly subjective, even for a porn review. Regardless, I strongly believe it is not great and has the tendency to leave me unsatisfied. Ah well, at least the images are great. As far as interracial porn sites go, it’s good and can be exciting, but if it weren’t for weekly updates I wouldn’t be so positive. Give this site a go if you like interracial but don’t set your expectations too high or you'll be left disappointed.
PS. personally I would love it if DarkX blended a bit more romance into their stories, perhaps taking a leaf out of EroticaX's book would help? |

This is a fairly short review because it's a small site that probably should just be a part of a _____x.com network. I have no problem paying for smaller sites, btw. This one just seems way too close in style and substance to other _____x.com sites to merit a standalone / additional cost site.
