I joined this site when it was brand new and there were about 10 videos on the site. I think there was 1 video update while I was a member and a few picsets. I've got it bookmarked and check the frontpage periodically, because I told myself I'd join again once she got up to 30-40 vids. I'd say it probably stopped somewhere around 20 though, with most of the updates in the past few months being "wallpaper" updates. Seriously - does anyone actually download these and use them on their desktop? Wallpaper updates don't count!
But yeah her content was pretty hot while it lasted. I agree it looks like she must have moved on :(
I haven't tried Vivid or DP, but judging from their DVDs, I wouldn't expect much in the way of "customer-oriented" service.
I was a member of Devil's Film a while ago, so I don't remember all of the specifics. I didn't really pay attention to pics until I started writing reviews at PU, so I don't remember if they have them. I only know that I didn't download any pics.
As for the videos, you can download them (big plus for me) and they are of excellent (DVD) quality. I downloaded some vids that were 720x528 wmv @ 2000kbps.

I think ATK is going to give you a ton of women, pic quality is pretty good 1500, videos leave a lot to be desired. No full clips, and the quality isn't that good either. Picture wise though, the sheer number of models on this site is crazy. Let me throw a few numbers at you.
Models that have the name that start with letter A - 237
With the letter J - 145
With the letter K - 162
With the letter L - 175
With the letter M - 198
With the letter S - 190
As you can see, that right there is over 1,000 models. I'm not for sure the total, but I have to imagine it is over 2,000 models.
You also will get some really great nearly amateur photos of some of the top Euro models like Eve, Zafira, Sophie. That are from the early years of these model's careers. The only model I haven't found on here that I always check for is Lucky. I checked Lucy, Lucie, but nothing. Everyone else is here and many you haven't heard of and some that you wish you never saw!
It is a great site though I've been an ongoing member off and on for the last several years and have most of the stuff from it that I want. Updates come in bunches, daily too. One warning, not all of the content is exclusive. I know that with Eve, I've seen several of the sets on Twistys as well.
Paul Markham, I've heard of it but haven't tried, I believe that is the one that Sapphic Erotica gets their material or girls from? I do love Sapphic Erotica, so if it is anything like it, it should be great.
Karups PC, I have considered joining it more times than probably any site that I haven't joined. Matter of fact, I'm heading over to it after I finish this to see if they have a model list up. I've heard nothing but good things about Karups' line of sites.
If you have been on 1byday, especially back a few years ago, that is very similar to ATK Galleria. Loads of content, quality is average. Though, I heard 1byday is revamping their already great site. I'm stuck as well, I'm going to join a couple of sites tonight.

The thing that is hard to deal with on this site is the infrequent updates of only 2 vids a week and 1 or 2 photoshoots a week. For a 30 dollars a month that is way steep for me, especially when a lot of the videos are rereleases of stuff I have already seen on there.
PINK PANTHER, I kind of agree with you!! My thing is, if the girl has a alright face and an off the hook body... MAN... I'll try to offer her my phone number in a minute!! However, if a girl has the cutest face in the world, eyes and everything, and has small curves on her body, I'll still try to get at her!!

That is interesting, sorry I hadn't gotten back sooner. I don't know why they would remove a few months of the archives, though I do know that Eve's site is having a slowdown right now. As of today, almost Sunday, there isn't a Saturday update or even a button to see July's calender.
I've been frustrated at times with Gen. Entertainment, but overall, I've had good experiences with their customer service. For example, on Eve's site a recent set where she is standing under an outdoor shower with a thin shirt on, the WMV version won't let you scan forward, but the MOV version will. I catch myself checking every clip now just in case the WMV version has this problem, probably 6-7 over the years have had the same problem.
I'm still not for sure about lowering the site. There are few sites on the internet that have the quality pictures/videos, even if only for 19 months, daily set equals roughly 550 pic or vid sets for $14.99. That is a lot of quanity and quality for half the price of most high quality sites. You will have to excuse my positivity, I'm from California, I like the glass half full!
But seriously, I can understand that some would take away, especially if they make a habit of recycling sets. I'm almost positive that each of the General Entertainment sites are ran by different webmasters and have different customer service reps. Let me know if they continue to recycle.
Actually, the tokens can be used to purchase physical DVDs or to purchase the video files themselves. When last I looked, there was a much broader selection available for download than on DVD so the download option may be preferable for most users. The tokens can be used up to 90 days after purchase and the material available is from both the ALSScan and the ALSAngels sites. DVDs numbering from 18 to 100 are presently available for download. Alex indicated there are to be an additional ten DVDs to be individually released at irregular intervals up to Nov. 14th.
Now that I look back through the video releases, it appears ALSScan releases one DVD video per week. The videos come from a variety of DVDs. But the DVDs may have anywhere from 8 to 12 files per DVD so there's still a lot of content that doesn't get released through the ALSScan site.
Also, since DVD #93, the format of the video files offered was raised to 2.0 Mb/sec (640x480), 3.0 Mb/sec (800x600), and 5.0 Mb/sec (640x480) MPEG2. Prior to that, the formats of the videos are offered were 1.5 Mb/sec (640x480), 2.0 Mb/sec (720x540), and 5 Mb/sec (640x480) MPEG2.
PinkPanther, Yes you are absolutely right the webmaster of AlisonAngel.com is the webmaster of FTV, his name is Rob Simiar and he is the owner of FTV!
And he has been intimate with a number of his girls and according to rumours is now dating Lia for the second time i might add, the giveway in finding out who he's been with is whether the girl has had a new car from him or not, any girl who has had a new car on FTV is a clear indication that he's been intimate with ok!

I can understand that. I noticed some airbrushing on Eve's upper thighs, looked almost like she had been laying in the tanning bed. I think a big positive for me from Pier999 is the outfits. While I love seeing the women nude, I also like to see them in sexy clothes, colors that bring our their hair and eye color, etc..
I had never seen pier999 until a few weeks before joining. A friend of mine is an Aria Giovanni fan, he had told me about the forums on freeones, someone had posted some Eve samples from pier999 on it. There is also something oddly mesmerizing about this little elephant on their site that walks across the screen! I could have sworn I heard it make a noise the other night. I'm not even for sure why it is there. I've clicked it, but nothing happens. I have to check out the Earl Miller one. I may have to hold off until next month on it, have a couple of newer favorites that I had promised to come back and check out again.

I like Sandy W too. She is really cute. I like the Hispanic women. I sent ALS an email telling them about how much I enjoyed their site and how I was surprised considering most "pro" reviews aren't that high. From the reply that I received back, their rotating content is to keep the content fresh. Of course, we know it is to keep us as members for more months as well. Your description of the models sounds like exactly what I look for. I found their other site, which is rated higher, the models are too skinny for me. I will probably hang around on it for at least another month to see the rotated material since I noticed several of their Eve photo sets say, "Set 1" or "Set 2".

That is interesting, when I go to Mya's site the archive goes back to 12/05. I believe 12/05 would have been about right, Eve's was up about 5-6 months before Mya's.
I don't have Mya's pictures saved on my HD, I usually go for her friends section. I checked out though and I would say it is possible for them to use the same set twice. I have two Eve videos from Eve's site that are almost identical. One is about 3 minutes longer, also, if you aren't a member of Eve's site, check out the preview and go to July 16th 2005 on her updates calender. There is nothing there, a picture, but no downloading options. One thing that I have noticed about Mya's site is the 2 part videos, that they split into 2 updates. The number of the set will be exact, except it will have a 2 at the end instead of 1.
I'm not for sure if General Entertainment is working as hard on their sites, Eve's is going great, she even did a Member Request recently. I also had let my Lora Craft membership cancel, for the first time since the site started, I go back, but can't get the TBP discount to work anymore. I have found that Mya's customer service isn't quite as responsive as Eve's. Eve has a CSR named Olga who seems to answer within 24 hours. I had sent an email to Mya's customer service asking why they didn't have any Eve material, when I am certain they did at one time. Never received a reply back, so I let it cancel too.
It is my understanding that several sites are facing DDos Hacks, I know that PixandVideo sent a lengthy email to me last month explaining the hacks that got them and how it slowed their site down and messed up their updates. Send an email in, I've found they respond well to nice, short emails. Well you know what I'm talking about, I always put "Hello from America" one thing they are known for is giving an extra 2 weeks onto your subscription for no charge, if you have a valid complaint with them.
Thanks, PinkPanther, for the info. It's good to know they do make some of the product they offer for sale on ALSDVDS available for download for free and that they've publicly acknowledged it. It appears to be a unique business model, one oriented towards giving the customer a satisfying experience (except, perhaps, for some of those who purchase scenes from ALSDVDS only to find what they purchased have become available for free. :) ). But, it would make sense if their sales are predominantly from the ALSScan and ALSAngels websites.
And, I agree about their most recent Caribbean trip. From what I've seen so far, it looks like the models have a lot more fun in situations that are less scripted. The good thing for the people behind the site is, while there's a lot more filming, there's less editing. The great thing for the viewers is getting a more authentic, flowing, whole experience, rather than the standard no talking, slow strip, the annoying patterned breathing ("uuuuuuu", followed by sucking air through the teeth, continue to repeat until simulating cumming), the pseudo-seductive glances at the camera or someone in the scene, touching, maybe toying, maybe cumming, then supposedly drifting off to sleep ("CUT") fare that is seen so often on other sites. So far as I'm concerned, the people at ALS are setting a standard of quality that is plainly lacking in other sites, although abbywinters and ftvgirls seem to come closer to meeting that standard than the rest.
I understand what you're saying, particularly about consistency of updates and technical problem alerts. FYI, I've done reviews of sites as a "current member" for less than a month, but I've actually been a returning member, often several times. I read the membership status very literally, and what you said makes me think that maybe I shouldn't. Anyway, I avoid reviewing sites that I don't have a good familiarity with. (Don't want people complaining about my reviews.)
There are other factors, too, such as whether a site has been reviewed at all, or if it has a "stale" (e.g., over 1 year old) review in TBP. Then, even if I've been away for, say, 2-3 months, I might review a site so long as it keeps posting updates publicly. It's still going to be more up-to-date than other reviews, and at least PU members know that I'm not a current member. It's no different from the last "current member" review of site being 2-3 months old.
All that being said, I don't see a lot of care being put into the writing of the majority of the reviews here anyway, regardless of membership status. I get frustrated by "hi rez pics" and "updates often" and other statements that lack specifics.
Oh, well. Whattayagonna do? I've complained before about that, and I can't say it's done any good.
And we at least get some reviews that are very in-depth and might mention important things missed in a "toe-dipping" TBP review, as per the point you made on that.
