The only time I had something similar was a few years ago when I was joining a Playboy site. There are several of them and I don't recall which one it was. It was utter crap though. (I didn't know that going in.) I intended to join for a month but due to some deception (that, admittedly I should have seen had I been paying more attention) I ended up buying a full year. I immediately discovered this after joining and contacted the site and biller. I purposely didn't view or download anything while I was trying to get a refund. The staff at TBP intervened too but nothing worked. The attitude was 'we have your money and we ain't giving it back.' The lesson I learned was to pay more attention.

I have bought annual subscriptions before that and since and been happy with them. I once bought an annual membership to Amateur Allure because that site was and remains in my Top-5 favourites and because it was a great deal. If AA offered a similar deal I'd jump at it again. (Are you listening Amateur Allure?) I also signed on to Hookup Hotshot for an annual membership. That too is a favourite site and the deal was too good to refuse. I have a great deal now on a recurring monthly HUHS membership so I just let that keep running.
I guess I have no idea what point I was trying to make other than I empathize with you.

All fair points, I thank you for your response and review. Again it was a good review. I suppose I was hoping something had changed. When I read your review I got excited about NA despite my own experience and your misgivings. I am one of those people who believe a Porn site, heck even a video game can get a little shaky at one point and then all of a sudden turn things around. I respect your 90 score I am just a little let down that such a great company has not turned things around after years of feedback. I remember when NA was the bastion of good porn on the internet and I honestly hope that one day they will take the necessary steps to be that way again. Your detailed responses were most appreciated.

I remember when NA was good. Thank you for your review. Did they drastically improve recently? Because if you look at recent reviews a 90 seems like kind of a unusual spike. It is very vanilla and there are a lot of issues with the UI and download speed. But hey that was just my experience/opinion, again thank you for your review. If you can, sell me on these changes that make it a 90 all of a sudden.

Thanks lk2, its not that I was all that interested, I generally don't like cam sites, they always seem like a scam to me for some reason (if I want to tip, I'll go to a nudy bar, thanks). I was more concerned that we may be getting charged for it. Thanks again for all the effort looking into it.

I don't think you even have to join NA Live separately. A lot of sites are doing this as a way to make more money. Rather than have their customers go off to a cam site and spend money there, they connect to the cam site directly under their own name - NA Live, Met Live, etc - and you can just go spend like a demon and the site gets a piece.

I started out with pics finding them more erotic than videos. Here at least you didn't have to listen to some male idiot conducting an "interview" in a condescending or contemptuous manner but I really have a hard time finding a good picture site that caters to my taste. Anilos comes close but they are too young, not in age of the models, but as a site.
AllOver30 isn't too bad either but last time I subscribed there would be days when I didn't download a single update because there seemed to be the same formulaic way of doing things at work as there is with videos. The female gets nude too quickly!! I want the tease factor brought back!

I find it's a simple program but not THAT simple to set up.
The simple way for me to check if Nord is working is to check my IP with a program such as https://www.whatismyip.com. It should be different than your usual IP. Perhaps select a different country and that way it will be easy to tell if it's working.
I strongly recommend that you call Nord support. My one experience calling - to get help with setup - I was very impressed. There was virtually no hold time, I spoke with a rep who seemed to know what he was talking about (and he knew Macs!) and he was very thorough. He spent about 10 minutes or so on the phone with me. One issue I never would have known about is that there are sometimes leaks. Such was my case. We fixed that by installing a Chrome extension. Below is a little more on that and DNS' in general.
As for the price, I'm guessing that special is not available any longer or at least in the US. I got the same price as you.

Most Internet service providers assign their customers a DNS server which they control and use for logging and recording your Internet activities.
Under certain conditions, even when connected to the anonymity network, the operating system will continue to use its default DNS servers instead of the anonymous DNS servers assigned to your computer by the anonymity network. DNS leaks are a major privacy threat since the anonymity network may be providing a false sense of security while private data is leaking.

Good comprehensive review as usual.
I recently re-joined because of the discounted price. I was bored to tears and thought the site indistinguishable from many of the formulaic sites. But that's just jaded me ;).
However, I had no problems with streaming or playing downloaded videos. Then again, I have a super fast FIOS connection. I also use VLC as a player, which I thought was the standard. I never used FLV.
Did you start using a VPN? I found that sometimes interferes with the performance of some websites. I have no idea why.

Interesting responses. I have been to Canada a few times but not since 1991. I have to get my ISP to believe me that New Jersey is not a Canadian province. Maybe I would be better off in Canada after all as I love hockey. One of my best sports memories was seeing a game in Maple Leaf Gardens. I do remember that they wanted me to pay the same amount in US dollars as in Canadian. Reverse regional pricing in action. It was in January and Toronto was suffering from a blizzard. The people were anything but cold. I found it to be a nice friendly country.

Great review lk2fireone! I did a review a little bit ago and agree with all of your points. Especially the part about the poor navigation. For a site that has so many pluses and seems to be a big budget operation, I cannot understand how they haven't fixed this.

Great review. I also gave them a rather high score - 1 for the network like you said and 2 because I think it's a really hard job to market to women/couples. While I love my hardcore stuff. I wish there was more porn that I could break the ice with my wife.

I just left this site and the girls are great, not enough anal clips for my personal taste. The bonus sites some are ok ,but the non exclusive sites are a joke! All in Russian and quality sucks. TMW is not keeping up with all it's site updates apparently. If I go directly over to Nubile Girls HD I see about 48 updates that happened on 7/24 that do not appear on the TMW updates page. My guess is they consolidated a site into Nubile Girls on the 24th.

I'm a member of Teen Mega World right now. It looks like they haven't done an update to this site since May, if you go by the main updates page for TMW. It seems they've been focusing on Teen Sex Mania and Teen Sex Movs since the spring.

ha, thanks for that info. It sounds like they operate similarly to the guys from Teen Core Club, a new site that updates for a while then stops and they launch a new one. I guess this way they have better chances of people randomly stumbling onto their sites or maybe someone that hates a site gets confused and joins another one...now clue how it all works.
Anyhow, thanks for the info, I have most of the videos I wanted from some sites in this network so it sounds like a pretty bad deal for me right now.

I know of at least 3 sites that lease/buy content from adult labs. Smackmybitch, lovelyteensmovies and hardcore youth. Of these I think smackmybitch has bought the most. The problem is that I think they have stopped doing it because I haven't seen a new update in months.

Another very good review. I wish they hadn't changed the names of many of the models but that's common for many of these sites. From what I can tell many of these videos can be found elsewhere. I really liked this site too. I liked the whole premise of a hot model casting another hot model, engaging is some girl sex and then bringing in a guy to complete the casting. Many of their scenes feature two of the hottest models at that time. I suspect these were expensive scenes to produce and that could be what killed them.
