Im glad i logged on to this site today- i was thinking of re-joining as i saw "Cate" & "christen" was back but saw the review of cate and thought oh no they are still "Non nude" videos.
But saw sue ann had posted explaining why, im praying that the back log of rubbish videos are nearly over.
Looks like i shall save my money untill feb and see how things go as i do like abby winters and the non recuring membership suits me, saves so much hastle.
One comment i do wish to add is about all the "Model attractiveness"
i think alot of reviews are very unfair, i love seeing the normal lady and if she is not so pretty but with a nice body and lady bits this makes the experiance even better this to me is what "Amatuer" really means/the girl next door type & i wish that some slightly more chunky girls would show their bodys off, im not meaning LARGE whales but someone with a little puppy fat.

As always, thanks for your feedback. It's cutting, clear and honest, which is always good... but it's not entirely fair.
We went through a phase in the middle of this year where our shooters neglected to get some of the most obvious best stuff - lotsa nudity - in favour of other stuff. There is a lag from when we shoot stuff, to when it appears on the site (So, the shoots that are appearing now, were shot in that "dark" period).
We have since fixed that problem, and luckily we're now nearing the end. All the shoots we have shot since are much better, and are already appearing on the site. Soon, we'll be entirely rid of the shoots that lack nudity (of course, then we'll get the equally-agressive feedback that the shoots have too much nudity, an can-we-tone-it-down-a-little-please).
Of course, most of your quotes there select out particular models who do not have much nudity (or more), but totally ignores the other models who have plenty. Our recent "dark period" definitely lowered our average some, but it's not like every single shoot has NO nudity!
Another thing to keep in mind is that not all models are up for the more revealing poses. We respect their choice in this. We try to maintain a mix of explicitness in the updates where ever possible, and historically have a very even balance.
As for model-attractiveness, that's always a a tricky one. We log how much positive and negative feedback we get on models we add to the site, to make sure we're not totally insane. We get consistant results (for example, Mary gets a +1 and a -1). The average is pretty much 0 or higher over any period of time (ie, models get as many positive comments as they do negative. Sometimes a model will get a more positive than negative, other times, a model will get more negative than positive, but mostly, it's 1-for-1, or more positive).
One of the things we do - what our whole site is based on - is to shoot models who are a little left-of-the-middle. We freely admit that not every model will be your personal cup of tea, but we also have a heck of a lot of models - 1000 or so, and at least two newbies each week.
Hope this clears some up, and please always keep the feedback coming - it never falls on deaf ears, and we respond to every email we receive.

This is a very interesting discussion and I find myself in between on the topic. I enjoy hearing a bit about the model, getting to know her makes the sex/nudity scene better but on the other hand I love some sites where they just get down to business...
I'm curious about abywinters now and I might visit it at some point just too see if there is too much talking here...

Because of its nature the g/g site would be a bit more explicit but in connection with the other two sites .. arghh, I agree with your sentiments completely. And I, too, wish I could have my old, undivided, exciting, refreshing AW back!

I understand your frustration but many people consider the variety of abbywinters.com shoots to be a major benefit. Not every video has a predictable start, middle, end - they're all different and since many girls love the experience so much and come back for more shoots, it's very likely you'll see her in another, completely different video!
We're unique because we're not scripted or manufactured, every thing's real, natural and shot with respect for the models. Perhaps in this one particular case you may not have been satisfied, but with up to three new models a week and multiple updates a day plus a huge 8 year archive of footage, you're sure to be kept entertained long into the future.

I have to agree, I hope everyone here (especially new members) don't feel like they can't speak their mind without getting shot down. Yes, you might get some discussion going but it is still your opinion and if you feel that way, please express it. Hell, that's why I love PU reviews so much because you get a variety of opinions and insights. The only thing that I dislike is someone bashing a site or extremely loving a site without good insight, a question from another user pops up, and they do not return the reply. However, if a question arises as to why the site was bashed or why they gave it such a high score with their own valid opinions, more power to them!
As far as RagingBuddhist says with the webmaster battles, I've had one myself and more than often they may hear the opinions of the users but with my experience it was like talking to a robot. I got the classic, "either you like it or not" and they expressed it that way to me. But, that's why PU is here, to let others know how you feel regardless of what others think. Just be ready to back it up with more insight and info if it is asked, that's all I ask and I'm sure most of the other PU members feel this way as well.

Basically, the first post quotes a newspaper article stating that it's illegal to make money from porn films in Victoria, Australia, and that the police raided the office of G Media, which runs the Abby Winters web sites.
The long-term future of the G Media company, and its web sites, is apparently unclear.
Abby winters is a major internet porn site, and this is really a kick in the head to the porn community.

I've always had problems navigating within AW, RB. It is slower than cold molasses to go from point a to point b. Nice to hear about a possible explanation for that slowness.
I'm really kind of upset at Abby's now. My system started lagging severely while I was browsing the pages of the new layout. I opened the task manager to see if anything was out of whack and noticed that Firefox was using over 1,000,000kb of memory. No wonder it was dragging! The only thing I can attribute it to is part of the new navigation - at the top of the page, it keeps track of all the pages you've visited. Every page you open is the equivalent of opening a new instance of Firefox! I went to the settings page on the site where you can set the options for how you want things displayed and there was no option to disable the page tracking. While I was there, I noticed that it showed I'd downloaded 54 gigs of files in 2 days - THAT wouldn't do, since A). I'd only downloaded about 15 gigs of video, streamed maybe a dozen low res flash files and saved maybe 200 pictures and B) I have a monthly download cap of 250 gigs.
So... I sent an email asking about these two issues and, unlike any time in the past, I've yet to get a response. That's pretty disheartening coming from a site that had always had the most attentive customer support I'd ever seen.
My new score is still more than generous. The content I'm after is definitely there - but it's a real pain to have copy the current link I'm on, click off the site, and restart Firefox and copy the link to continue browsing. And I'm still curious about their download count. I haven't gotten a notice from my ISP yet, so I'm hoping that's just some sort of a glitch on AW's part. It'd just be nice to hear from 'em to clear it up.
I rejoined AW under their special former members rate and get all three categories. I'm not sure if I'm getting jaded or if the quality of the material has deteriorated but I'm certainly not as enthused about the site as I used to be. For instance, I have not kept more than two picture sets in two months because there is no excitement to them, close-ups of one breast or disembodied shots of genital areas abound but if I am not able to see the rest of the model I find it boring, so I switched almost completely to downloading videos only. Photographer(s) should definitely switch their style now and then.
As to your question, I think anyone who were to choose g/g only would be disappointed with the updates. I would guess they amount to about one a week, followed by IM with about three updates and with Solo getting the lion's share with sometimes as many as two, even three a day.
These are guesstimates because updates tend to change from week to week and day to day but if I had to choose a single site I would say g/g would not be worth the price unless one subscribed for the first time. Simply not enough new material.

Yeah. You could say that. But I am not sure that everyone wants a different theme. If you want different themes then I say go to a different site, which is what I did. If someone like what they have than that is great because they have a lot of it!

On verity, to me it seemed like the same thing with different girls a lot, but that is just me. It did not see much verity in the theme, but if you like the theme than that is great! I have no regrets downloading it.
The download limit is set for those you are using site clones or some other auto-downloader. They do not want people downloading the site twice. This is information directly from the webmaster when I received my bandwidth warning for downloading 200 GB in a matter of days. Sometime people use a site clone wrong and it attempt to redownload the webiste using a lot of extra bandwidth, with costs them money. They actually lost money on my membership because of the speed I used! Of course there is no issue when you resign, or download over several months. They worry when someone downloads the site in 5 days since tey must pay for the bandwidth usage from their servers. When people go over the allotment they must purchase more at a higher price to keep the site up.
If you download the site properly there should be no issues unless you do it fast, but they do not kick you off unless you start redownloading.

That would be a big change. While I'm not a member now, I was only about a month ago and it was working then. They even have a page about it in the FAQs where they actually recommend what Download Managers they like:
