I thought it was basically a European site (management, not just the women), but it does seem like that mentality just the same, as in "If you act now, you'll get FIVE super blueberry plants. Just pay separate shipping and handling."

I know it's different strokes for different folks, but anal doesn't make me all excited and tingly. Take it or leave it, as far as I'm concerned. Straight vaginal is plenty good for me.

Frankly, I don't understand the point of having so damn many sites anyway. I remember when it was just "1byday." Nice 'n simple. Now they've got something like 10 and they have (had?) that offer of all 10 for some discount price.
To me, it just causes unnecessary complication and confusion. I want my fucking porn served up straight 'n simple without all of this biz-concept bullshit.
Same comment goes for 21st Sextury. Remember when it was just PixAndVideo and ClubSandy? That was good enough! Both companies have overreached and they look like real idiots.
It's like Crystal Pepsi and New Coke, but on steroids. Will people ever learn???? Well, there's no substitute for common sense. Either you've got it, or you don't.

oh total agree with you, I think $20 bucks is a great price for what you get and loved the site last time I was there, I just like to join my fav sites every year and currently already a member of 2 other sites so will wait a while before I join for a month.

Well, they've done a fair amount of that "now you don't see it, now you do" trick of putting content from one site on to another, too. I didn't realize that Hands on Hardcore was in that game plan, but surprised I ain't.
DDF Beauties was my biggest annoyance in that way, with just about all of it being stuff that had already been posted on other ddf sites.
I guess I was stupid to assume that "new site" meant "new content." But maybe not. Stupid means unable to learn. I no longer join ddf sites, so I guess I was simply gullible.

Yes, they do a lot of remastering of older material and posting it as updates. With the photos, their pre-1616 pixel stuff got made into 1616 pixel reduxes, and now those are being made into 2000 pixel updates. The DDF network is now full of such reworked content.
While I've said before that I don't mind such stuff if it makes it better (and that I don't return often for it), it has gotten kind of ridiculous. I suppose they'll be redoing the 2000's as 2500's sooner or later -- with yet another logo design, of course.
It's not what the term "repeat business" was intended for ...

After a long relationship with RK (over 18 months straight) I also threw in the towel.
Main reasons are:
Several download problems.
Non responsive customer support.
Less than exciting updates compared to other sites.
I found two sites that are great and are working hard to keep my business: 21sextury and DDFProd. They have convinced me that RK is no longer worth continuing.
The signs are there that you may be right; the site may well be on its way to oblivion.

I suppose that is the case, but there are other sites are putting out decent content, many euro sites included amongst those, so what is their excuse? It just seems like their standards have gone way down, I'd rather a site put out 1 decent scene a week than 5 mediocre ones. I was a member of x-art for a few months even though their update rate is relatively slow, because their updates were usually pretty good (albeit short).

I had similar experience.
Regarding your suggestion about technical support, Reality Kings HAS no real support; toll-free for billings & cancellation, but no reply to my emails for technical support.
About 2/3 of videos I downloaded lacked audio, and no one would respond to my repeated request for help.

As extreme as it is I'll keep them, if for no other reason that I never purge porn. I did that a couple of times back when digital media was still young and expensive and I came to regret it. Much of my quest for porn has been to find the stuff I purged. It's actually been pretty successful since most of it was movies from the early and mid-nineties.
And I agree that one of the many great things about PU is that there is always a way for members to ask each other questions.

My review will be up by the time you read this, and while I wouldn't necessarily recommend this site to anyone, I hope that I kept it objective. My goal would be for someone to look at the reviews (all of them) and get a sense of what is there, plus get a sense of how the site measures up in objective technical stuff. Objectively, the site is great - there is a decent amount of material, the navigation is simple but effective, the download speeds are great, the scenes are well shot, well lit, etc. If someone were to read the reviews and say 'these two guys thought it was too extreme, but they also say the site is decent and not a rip off, then I feel safe joining' then I'm happy with that.
And full disclosure - after all my comments about it being too extreme, there are still some scenes that I plan to download.

So many others did have technical problems with the site that I thought I'd make the specific comment that I didn't have any of those issues. When you and I had a back-and-forth after you wrote your review that was one of my big concerns. If you reported problems I would have stayed away, but since you didn't I took the plunge. Maybe whatever problems other people had have been resolved.
I agree with you that there is good extreme and bad extreme. Read the comment from malikstarks in this thread. I agree with him too. But... there really is good extreme and bad extreme. Where is that line? I don't know. Maybe you and I are just being too subjective and basing this on taste. Maybe it's an age thing in that people younger than us have different media experiences. I still think that The Exorcist is the most scary movie ever made, because when it came out there was nothing like it. For someone in their 30s The Exorcist might seem tame and quaint.
But having said that, I still think that there has to be an objective standard for what is too extreme. And now that I think of it, there is. Most countries would have some criminal law dealing with this kind of material. You and I are both in Canada and I suspect that this material would be found to be illegal if we tried to import it as a DVD. The problem with using the criminal standard to determine whether this is too extreme is that that standard itself uses the :community standard" test. I'd bet you have trouble convincing blue-haired old Baptist ladies anywhere that this stuff isn't extreme, but they'd probably say that about tame mainstream porn too.
I think for me that I'm going to come down to the same test that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Potter used way back in 1964. To paraphrase him for this discussion, I may not be able to define what is too extreme, but I know it when I see it.
And I see it on this site.

pat - based on your review and the conversation we had in the comments section I took out a membership at Facial Abuse. Holy crap you weren't kidding when you said this stuff is extreme! I like hardcore BDSM and I even like some Max Hardcore stuff, but I found this shocking. That really surprised me. This seems to be abuse for the sake of abuse.

Good review, I felt the same way here, a decent amount of content that seemed like it was pretty good, but I didn't end up keeping much of it.
Also as a note, Clubseventeen not only uses odd model names, but often used different names for the same model, which really irritates me.

that i am not theire current member makes me also thinking of a spam.
in my membership i had that banning too, but that was because of using a dl manager (different ip-accesses e.g.) but in the end that problem was solved with them.

nice review pat362, I pretty much agree with all that you said. I wish I could remember how downloading was when I was a member, but I don't recall it being terrible. Perhaps they just have more users now then their bandwidth can support.
are they doing better with the scenes where the girl looks totally disinterested in the action? There were two scenes I got here that I kept as favorites, although the ladies look commically unimpressed with their current situation.
