And yes, had it not been for the TBP/PU, I'd have fallen in many more traps put up by too smart/not-serious sites.

Until the problem arose, I had access to both sites because I have been a continuous member since before the two sites were split.
The issue is that I am now blocked from the entire 21Sextury network. Hopefully the just posted response from Sandstone, the webmaster, means the problem is temporary. I'm optimistic this problem will be corrected because, until this incident, the support function has been quite good and timely.

I have the feeling they won't be in business much longer, Pat. Everything within the two sites I've looked at so far looks like a dying gasp. No search engine, awkward and difficult navigation between picture and video, non-responsive support, skimpy updates!! I wrote to them a couple of days ago about my difficulty in downloading zipped picture sets and have yet to hear from them. That's NOT service, that's a company who no longer cares and will just milk the dying cash cow until it finally dries up.

Hi Pat, I would never subscribe to their whole network because, I too, find it way too expensive. I figured if I joined Stunning Matures for a month and got four bonus sites during that month it wouldn't be too bad of a deal. As to their search function, some of their sites might have one but I have yet to discover it on the two sites I have at present. I am generally very disillusioned already because I am an anal person and cannot get past those huge watermarks. I basically downloaded, took a quick look, and deleted all the material because all I could see was those monstrosities!

Agreed. That's my hope for Gloria at Skinny Super Girl, Young Legal Porn and a couple of other Diesel Access sites. I asked the webmaster about that a few months ago and he said that girl/girl was likely in her future but probably not b/g hardcore. That was a sad day for me...

I agree. There are many members here who shoudln't join Sinnistar because it is too extreme, but it is still a good site and I hope the owner does well.
But there can be surprises. A couple of weeks after otoh reviewed Met Art and said it was too sterile I thanked him for steering me away from the site. But then I got an offer to join that was too good to refuse so I joined and found that I liked the site even though it is pretty tame for my tastes and sterile too. But I suspect that it's easier for someone into hardcore to be interested in softcore than the other way around.

I don't think you misinterpreted what I said, but maybe there was a bit of hyperbole in what I said. You know Facial Abuse and Max Hardcore at least as well as I do, so I don't need to describe them. The scenes at Sinnistar aren't all like that, but there are a few throat-fucking scenes that are a bit disturbing in a way I've never seen elsewhere. There's a scene with a cute girl named Kalyn where he fucks her throat in the position made famous by Max - she's bent backwards over the arm of a couch. The disturbing thing is the guy is well endowed and you can clearly see the outline of his penis in her throat. You can actually tell the difference between the head and the shaft as it is in her throat.
All scenes are that bad, but this isn't Kink shoot where there are pre and post interviews so the viewer clearly understands that the model consented to everything and actually had fun. I think its fair to say that some of the models on Sinnistar didn't have fun.
I guess what concerns me is that while I'm pleased when someone joins a site that I really liked and highly recommended, and pleased when someone avoids a site I didn't like and recommended that people avoid, I have mixed feelings about someone avoiding a site I liked based on my review.
But... having said all of that, if you didn't like Facial Abuse then you probably won't like Sinnistar. Sinnistar isn't nearly as abusive. There isn't the same level of slapping, humiliation and vomiting as with Facial Abuse, but it is degrading.
I wish Sinnistar had a better tour page so you could see what I mean.

pat - I don't know if I'd call Sinnistar as abusive as Facial Abuse. The scenes are hardcore, for certain, but there isn't the same level of abuse. However, one indication that the site is pretty rough is it seems to end a lot of new porn careers. Subjectively, I like Sinnistar a lot more than Facial Abuse. Sinnistar is on my list of sites to rejoin periodically.

I second that. It's rare that I have any interaction with a webmaster, but that experience will influence me the next time. I also take note when others relate their webmaster encounters because I figure that is likely the same treatment I'll get.
To be fair though, I can't really remmeber many bad experiences. I had a good one recently with Sinnistar, and I think Kink.com is the best in the business.

Have to say I'm not sure if she's still active which is why I stopped short of saying it was regularly updated. I was a member 2-or-so months ago and hadn't been a member for a long time before that so although a lot of content was new to me I can't remember if there were any updates.

I agree that any comparison between porn and mainstream movies economies is silly. But with gross sales being what they are it makes clear how big the porn industry is.
I've been spending a lot of time at ADT reading old threads. It's an amazing site for porn trivia. I haven't posted anything yet, but PU will be my default site for as long as it exists. And the purposes of the sites are completely different, as you point out so one could never replace the other.

For me, Captain Stabbin isn't about the crew but I have a nautical fetish AND an anal fetish so this site is a sensory overload for me. I do like the original Captain as he's just so lucky and he knows how lucky he is.
I hadn't really given any thought to the economics of mainstream porn. I guess I always thought that it was a great way to get rich fast, but after reading what you wrote that obviously isn't the case. I hear estimated numbers that the porn industry brings in each year, and I recall that the porn industry is reputed to bring in more than Hollywood, but there are tons of studios out there cranking out the titles. And I'm certain that piracy hurts the porn industry more than the mainstream movie business just because of the size of studios.
Still... I suspect that when a star like Tanner does her first anal it will also sell better than the average movie. But the piracy will be more too. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for any Tanner anal scenes that might come out in 2012.
I just signed up for the forums at ADT and there is a lot of useful information there as you said. Thanks for that tip!
