I think that some of the videos at the Pure Taboo site are impressive.
Some might dismiss or not appreciate the artistic approach to hardcore porn.
And some of the plot lines can be foolish.
But the site tries to create a perverted sense of hardcore porn, that I find valuable. It's like watching early visions of The Twilight Zone, done in hardcore style.
So I disagree with professional porn reviewers, who score the site in the 70s. The site has some videos that are worth watching: you are watching movie-quality porn (except the acting or plot can be funky).

I have never scored a site higher than 90 sir and I rated it higher than the reviewer for tbp did the same day. I only speak for myself here when I say anything higher than 90 is meet with skepticism. What raffle did I win? LOL I have not received any notification.

Having read the reviews and the replies relating to Asian Sex Diary all I see is a webmaster politely and robustly defending his sites and correcting misinformation. The webmaster even stated in his replies that he doesn't have a problem with your review overall and he fully appreciates that the site is not mainstream porn and would not appeal to everyone's taste. It's clear to me that what Jimmy did take exception to was your incorrect statement about not providing any free samples on tube sites and when he did correct you, even providing a link to the free samples, instead of admitting your mistake or apologising for your error you come back with some pretentious statement about how respected you are within the PU community as if implying you couldn't possibly have made a mistake. We are all amateur reviewers here and all liable to make mistakes now and then, when it's pointed out to you hold your hands up instead of making a melodrama out of it.
I can't help feeling that your motive for joining and reviewing the site in the first place was with the sole intention of trying to discredit the previous review from 10 days earlier where the reviewer gave the site a score of 99. I also find myself agreeing with the webmaster that a preconceived bias towards the site is clear to see but nevertheless it was an informative and well written review as are all your reviews. You're right when you say that you are a valued and respected member of the PU community but to make factually incorrect statements and then not be able to hold your hands up when the error is pointed out could just as easily lose you that respect. Reading the replies to your review I find it difficult to see what it is that you actually took offence to and can't help feeling that some PUers are being a bit over-sensitive over the webmaster's replies and find the calls and forum posts asking for the webmaster to be suspended or banned for simply providing feedback and correcting misinformation about his sites frankly ridiculous.

I almost held off on posting it but I doubt I will go back to the site. I kept running out of characters or I would have explained the Flight Club offer better. I kept having to remove a sentence here and there.
Here is the offer:

I also noticed two "reviews" by Chevy14 on Freeones which explains why he said he was updating his review here. It's copy and pasted on Freeones. His first review is on Rabbit's Reviews in the comments too. He must have got confused and pasted the 2nd one here.
The newest review very much goes into the porn lifestyle, he talks about John setting out to creampie as many local Asians, more creampies for European Porn Stars and even African women. He also talks about all the countries John visits.
I think the worst part was I originally had it lowered to 10. My main thinking if the webmaster replies to it is he can tell me anything inaccurate in it.

I don't know how this webmaster will react. They might not even go to this site or care. They get people this way as they know we want to download their videos. I for one want potential customers to be aware of this. 20 points automatically taken off for this practice. They were up to 80 but I added five points because of how many videos and the models. Otherwise it would have been a 60.

When I first read your comment I thought that you must have made a mistake. Maybe you misread the price or maybe you got sent to a special link where the site sends people it doesn’t like. But I checked and, sure enough, you’re right. I even checked an affiliate site that offers discounts and lists Swallow salon as being available for $18 but when you go to redeem that discount the price is $32.
I was an early subscriber to this site and have been a regular subscriber ever since, having been a member approximately 10 times now. I’ve never had a recurring membership though.
Objectively and subjectively I’ve always found the site to be a bit overpriced and this new price makes that even worse. As you know, it’s an oral-only site and those tend to be cheaper to reflect the lower costs of shooting those scenes. Let’s face it, it makes sense that female talent is paid more to do a double anal scene than a blowjob scene. The set is just a gauzy cloth with backlighting set up in the same house where they shoot Amateur Allure. That adds no costs.
Subjectively, while I like this site I also find it repetitive. I also don’t like that the women usually stay clothed. The site really has a narrow focus on the woman’s face as she gives head and then swallows.
I can’t help but contrast this with another site though I realize this is an apples-to-oranges comparison. A unique site, in the true meaning of that word, is Hookup Hotshot. Yes, the same set is used in almost all of the scenes and it’s just the site-owner’s house. But these scenes feature a lot of unusual sexual activity and I’m certain that the female talent get paid handsomely to do these scenes. But even though the HUHS scenes have to be substantially more to shoot than the SS ones you can get a HUHS membership for $19. (Admittedly, there are some download restrictions for the first few months.) The site owner regularly offers discount memberships though. I have a recurring $10 monthly membership and will keep that as long as it lasts.
This brings me to my hypothesis that Swallow Salon is in a death spiral. The site is a bit dull and a lot repetitive. (I’m okay with repetitive if I like what’s repeated.) I suspect that they just aren’t getting the subscriber base they were hoping for and that requires them to raise the price to cover the costs. But that starts a death spiral where the higher price keeps customers away, which means the price needs to go up again, and so on until the site folds. I’m just an armchair porn producer, but it seems to me that a better recipe to try is to change the schtick a bit and LOWER the price to drive memberships. I don’t know that this is true but I suspect it is: I suspect that HUHS makes a TON of money every month even though their scenes cost more to make and they have a lot of members with $10 memberships because the site has a large subscriber base.
I really was hoping you were wrong though…

I also agree that the webmaster is out of bounds in his replies. I'm glad you took him up on the free pass as I chose not to. Seeing his petulant responses to your review that wasn't even negative, just your personal take on your experience with the site is surprising. I have never seen a webmaster or anybody associated with a site step in and criticize and flat out disrespect a reviewer like this. This just confirms my suspicions that he is the writer of all the 99% reviews/comments left by someone who joined the site and left a single review or comment for this site and hasn't been heard from since. You want your site listed here then you have to be willing accept all reviews. He's been in business a long time and reacting in this way to a single review is just wrong.

Thank you mbaya! That was really an out of the box and superb review. I enjoyed reading it just for pure entertainment. I had to refer back to my review to recall why I gave it a crap review. I do recall the poor camera work was the biggest con. That seems to be par for the course with its related sites also.
Shame shame on you Jimmy. I thought you were above the sort of petty arguing you displayed here. While you may not believe it, mbaya did you a service by writing a comprehensive review. While he didn't like many things (similarly to me), he did mention a number of positive aspects. But all that got lost in the sniping back and forth. In my book, any review is better than no review. I'm at a loss why you don't listen to complaints and strive to make things better instead of getting defensive. The site and the other related sites (if they still are related) would benefit greatly by listening to customer feedback, same as any other business. The sites have so much potential. I hope it gets realized one day.

It has to be said that Asian Sex Diary is NOT mainstream porn. If you're comparing to mainstream porn (you are), it's understandable that you're never going to like it much.
It's one man's (NOT a "stunt cock's") personal sex diary that is updated every single day, for 6+ years in a row now. Let that alone sink in. He has fucked well over 1000 different women all over Asia and beyond.......and is still going.
He has met the girls, fucked and recorded them, edited, uploaded and updated the site while flying and traveling all around the map. Often to far-flung isolated places not many other people visit for sex or filming porn. It's a superhuman effort, done in part for personal enjoyment and in part for providing a unique perspective on the male existence. Not to become a "porn star".
As you intimated, the whole thing might be too "deep" for the casual porn purveyor-----and he knows that. There is a very honest and pure element to this site. It's as "grass roots" as they come. It's not for everyone. But those who like it, LOVE it.
For some of the technical things, yes, security of the content and logins is paramount. We'll never waver or bend on those, for a myriad of reasons. Some that you could appreciate and understand; others that you wouldn't fathom in tens of millions of years.
As you duly noted when you said it "made me uncomfortable", Asian Sex Diary can certainly get you out of your "comfort zone". Especially if that zone is rather limited.
The bottom line? This is not a "porn site". It's an unconventional lifestyle being recorded every single day and made available to those who might be interested. I am sorry to hear you were not that interested, but not totally surprised.

That could be the case, but I also download just as large, if not larger files from other sites as well and I never got "Failed Network Error" in any case. I just found it odd that it would only and consistently come from this site. But if you've never got that message then perhaps something is happening on my end that I'm unaware of. Time will tell. It's fair that the webmaster doesn't want piracy seeing it rampant as it is but this is also at the expense of the user experience as well. Premium Bukkake must be a very good site in your eyes (I've never tried it) because not being able to download is a huge disadvantage, for any site. From the sounds of the rest of your review, it sounds like it could use quite a substantial amount of work. I also find it odd that there is a bunch of 90+ expired user reviews for this site but ah well.
