$39.95/month membership seems very high. Especially considering the lack of regular updates. Would have to be an extreme fan of the drawing style to consider being a member.

I last joined a year and a half ago. Haven't been back since because of just the kinds of obviously greedy and user-unfriendly practices that you described. Sounds like they haven't changed a bit.
Besides, their content certainly didn't strike me as worth all that dough. There's a lot of it, but you have to pay and then just raid the site silly for those zip files that have those very odd names to them (in confusing two-version galleries sometimes) and pics that don't get past 1067 pixels.
"Gouge 'n Grumble" is what I'd call a hungry dinosaur.
Thanks for the update. Frankly, a rating of 50 suits them well. I think I paid enough for the privilege of saying so.
