I post on the NA message board and talk to the staff. We were told that 13 updates is the norm and thats the way its been going for months. Maybe they dont say it on the membership page officially, but it was basically an unofficial confirmation.
And as I said, I dont care that they are doing this, but it is a drastic change, and while NA may not be a top site in your mind, it is (or at least was) to me. Maybe not always and maybe not in terms of video quality, but my tastes are pretty simple and they have always delivered quality scenes, in a timely manner, and were for the most part very interactive with the fans.
My biggest issue with them is that they make decisions to change the website and never give a heads up. Are they required to? No, but its good for business to let your customers know of any changes that may be coming.
You keep telling me about how other sites/artists/etc do this....does that make it okay? Its just away to make more money, and in NA's case, its a way to SAVE money so they dont have to shoot NEW scenes.
And on top of that, there is a huge difference. I paid a membership expecting one thing, but all of sudden, they cut the updates one week and say, "Oh, we cut updates without telling you so we can remaster scenes". People have the option of going out and buying new albums.
And your logic is incredibly flawed. McDonalds doesnt guarantee breakfast, but if they were to just take that off the menu completely one day because they wanted to focus on improving the regular menu, do you think people would be mad? Do you think they would have the right to be?
And Ill take that part down about the download limits. I copied and pasted alot of the stuff that I wrote in my new review.

I dont think you do understand. It boils down to this...I paid for a membership (full price) under the pretense that there would be regular updates (13 per week, as we were told before). I wasnt told before my membership that that would change. If I had been, I wouldve rethought my membership, but if I did decide to stay on as a member, at least it was my decision to pay for membership knowing what was coming.
Even if they are remastering the scenes, it is still the same scene. Maybe its in better definition, but its still the exact same scene. This isnt like actual Hollywood movies with awesome special effects that I really want to see in high definition. Ive seen the scene before...if they want to redo the videos, thats all good, but when they start taking away NEW updates, especially without notifying anyone of what they are doing, that is BS. At least let us know its coming ahead of time instead blindsiding people.
Its more a matter of poor customer service and false advertising than it is them taking away updates. I expect that from crappy rip off sites...not NA.

The $14.95 price is what made me enroll. I like the concepts and the very attractive style in particular, but I also pretty much agree with the score. The only thing that might make me up the points a bit is that the site has an unusually large number of models I like and all with original content.

As always, thanks for the heads up and information exotic4me. I am waiting for a subscription to end and joining twisty's for the first time after your comments and others information they provided. However, I have a feeling that site is going to overwhelm me (this is a good thing though).

I checked the site directly, not through TBP and the pricing structure is completely different. For example for $25 you can get 10 days, not the 5 through TBP. This doesn't make any sense.

My problem isnt that they are remastering old videos at all. I have absolutely no problem with that. What I dont like it that it is coming at the expense of newer updates. Redoing old videos should be an added perk. When I joined, I did so because I was told there would be 13 new scenes per week. I dont consider making old material better an official update. And to be honest, its not like NA's DVD quality is much better than the MPEG quaility of alot of these scenes. Some of the MUCH older scenes will look better, but some of the not so old scenes that are only in MPEG...its not much of a difference IMO.
On top of all that, they do these things without so much as a whisper to their customers that it is coming. Just saying.

I wish Susana had done more work with ALS Scan - she's usually being posed all serious and dour and ALS Scan had her laughing and smiling and looking as delightful as her fantastic bod - but they only did one masturbation vid along with the great body-painting scene with her - and I believe that she's had a boob job since then, so that puts her out of the picture as far as ALS Scan is concerned.
She's done a LOT of great stuff with Action Girls, though it's very much in the serious/dour mode, except for a few scenes - one where she was a drunk Superwoman and a scene where she's a goofy redneck, for example.
I haven't checked out this site that you're posting about.

Look at the sample image three with her in dried up 'tears' from eye shadow and red everywhere like a murder scene, lol? :( Sample five is her cut up and nose bleeding like a fighter, umm....I don't know about the so called 'adventuresome' crap this place is doing. Looks like bad visioning upon the creators to attempt to create some new and different looking stuff but failing miserably. Oh well, win some and lose some :)
BTW, I never knew about this model and all I can say is WOW, that's why I love PU because I would never know about these models if it was not for you all!

FYI: I tried it two years ago when it was susanaspearslive. I also reviewed it. It's "no longer active" at PU, but it's on page 3 of my reviews.
Later I got emails from the site saying they were going to do a new version, which is what you're asking about.
I've also been lurking at this site, and I'm not too crazy about the particular turn towards "adventuresome" concepts or what have you. Besides, there's no way of knowing the how many's and what sizes, etc. from the visitor's pages, so I have yet to join.

I totally agree that a girl pleasuring herself is more erotic than a lot of what passes for "erotic" hardcore sex. I always get embarrassed when I am being asked a question like that, exotics4me. Chances are I read your remarks, agreed with them and simply forgot to answer. Or maybe I did answer because normally I do in connection with any thread involving me. But sometimes I slip (or I should say my memory lets me down) and I end up looking rude!
Anyway, here's my view: you can't go wrong if you are purely objective and go by the technical details the way the TBP reviewers do. So many points for quality, so many points for quantity, so many points for regular updates, so many points for navigation etc. etc.
Trouble is, if I read a review like that it gives me a fair idea whether it is a class site or not but it doesn't give me all the salient facts that either make or break a site for me.
I like it when reviewers get subjective and praise or condemn the contents, when they get into the nitty gritty and give me an idea in connection of what exactly is being offered. Tours are not always helpful when it comes to that, so thank heavens for subjective PUs.
However, your point re. re-evaluating sites is very well taken. I am looking at the moment at two of the earliest reviews I made and while at that time I was gushing with enthusiasm I would now rate them lower by at least ten points because they've become so ho-hum to me.
I re-subscribed to both recently and just make one cursory visit once a day because it's the same old, same old to me. So, reviews have definitely become harder for me as well.
On the one hand fairness demands that you ignore your "jadedness" for the sake of those who might be newcomers to the porn scene yet, on the other hand it tends to rears its yawning head despite your best efforts as I think it did in my case in connection with Naughty America. I really think I was being as fair as I could possibly be at the stage I'm at but can see where I would not be considered fair in the eyes of a starry-eyed newcomer to the porn scene. I think I'll start making more comments and less reviews from now on. What do you think? :-)
I agree with you when it comes to collecting "solos." In my case it would have to be a solo in pretty lingerie between thirty and fifty! I discovered one that is really collectible (Berkley) but I've only seen her on "Anilos" so far. :-( Boy, I rambled on this evening. My apologies!

Interesting info on 420. Thanks for sharing. I confess I had never come across the term until I tried to find more about the model and the 420 Wikipedia article showed up in a Google search. I'm guessing it's widely used only in English speaking countries. I'm certainly not a weed expert so I mentioned it in my comment in case someone as clueless as me was intrigued by the site name.
Regarding Kayden, I browsed her MySpace blog and I got the impression she had somehow been "expelled" from Suicide Girls a couple years ago for reasons she didn't say or I didn't see.

You are correct in your assumption about the term exotics4me. However, the stated above term of cannibus culture is what the coined term has basically become. It's comparable to many terms that start at as one thing then become a consensus for a whole topic. I've seen 420 used for so many different things involving marijuana. One example: being from the Detroit Metro area, in Ann Arbor (University of Michigan's campus) they have a festival one day a year where marijuana is essentially allowed to be smoked around the city with demonstrations everywhere called 'Hash Bash'. And you guessed it, it falls every year on the date 4/20 :)

Thanks for the response, so far, I like the content a bit better than in focus because of the variance but what you say is true about the model selection, they seem to be a bit younger than in focus. So, to me, this site is like model preference vs content (you get the hardcore, girl/girl, plus solo). Still, I love the quality in general that I get with in focus and only cuties so far. I HATE the renaming part though because I'm still trying to get familiar with the models :( Thanks for the heads up on the euro models and hardcore, this is weird you brought this up because of the poll today about what you enjoy viewing the most. I do like hardcore everyone once inawhile, that's why I like this site because it gives you the goods of all 3 worlds :) Twisty's is next after this site for sure, thanks for the input all these sites we've discussed so far! With all those models they might need some serious PU/PUs to keep track of model-identity....
But I also think a lot of other major-sites are much worse in messing around with model-names - even with the akas.

I checked through indexxxed.com and found that, according to that Dev8 site, only four of their sites updated in 2009, Ass Traffic, All Internal, Fist Flush and Give Me Pink. It also said that Prime Cups last updated in November 2008.
You may be right that they are taking a break and will be back to a normal updating program. On the other hand, if they've stopped producing content their membership will be dropping like a brick.
We'll see.
