Yes, you're right, I'm afraid we had to raise our prices not long ago.
As I'm sure you're aware the dollar has gone down about 40% against the Euro over the past 6 months and since we're based in Europe, that means 40% less income but the same expenses (not counting inflation).
Prices for a 30-day membership used to be $29.95 for the first month, then $24.95 recurring, they are now Euro24.95 then Euro19.95 recurring, which is the equivalent of $34.95 for the first month and then $29.95 recurring (depending on the daily exchange rate of course). That's an increase of 16-17%, which considering the fact that we haven't raised our prices for years and are now providing TWO exclusive updates every single day - twice the number as before - is still a very good deal and our members definitely agree that we're still excellent value for money! :)
Just as a note - the prices on our join pages are all shown in Euros - no dollar signs out there, no "misrepresentation" Our billers will generally show the dollar equivalent though, so there definitely shouldn't be any misunderstandings.
Privately, I agree about the Euro and the European Union of course, but that's a different story...
We are in the process of informing review sites etc. about our new prices (which were only finalised this week), if there are any outdated prices out there (and for the moment, they practically still all are), then it isn't the reviewer's fault - I'm sure they'll all get around to updating their info reasonably quickly.
Keep enjoying the site and I hope you agree that we are still well worth the money! :)

My point is that I'm not a lawyer and I definitely don't want to hire one because of this issue :-), so I tend to trust that major US companies do their legal research themselves (and kink.com IS a major US company without much doubt). After all, it will be them who prosecution will come after.

I looks that site producers were under such impression too :-). There weren't such such sites in US until about the time when kink.com made their SexAndSubmission (about 2005). As kink.com is an US company, and pretty solid one, I don't think they're playing games with law, so most likely they've got legal opinion on it, which says it's ok. And as long as there wasn't any case law (which seems most likely), legal opinion is the best thing you can get to see if it is legal or not.
So I would rely on ability of kink.com to analyze it properly (at least until I'll try to shoot such a thing myself :-)). Just speculation on my part though.

I so agree - No other site continues to entertain me in the way that ALS Scan does - their bonuses are utterly unique, educational at times and entertaining on many levels - I've never seen another site do anything like their new Production Behind The Scenes Bonus - an entire day of a shoot for 7 AM to 7:30 PM. Most of this bonus is stroke material, but it's all completely entertaining to me.
Most of their material is a tremendous turn-on.

I agree with you 100% and we'll be upgrading our model navigation (among other things) when we release the next version of our members area.

We actually switched to 852x480 wmv's @ 2000 kbps for our default video size after we began shooting in 16:9 earlier this year. I'll also point out for potential members that we also offer new videos in 1280x720 wmv's @ 4000 kbps and 426x240 wmv's @ 500 kbps (low).

I appreciate your feedback regarding indoor vs outdoor, however opening our own studio would actually hurt the selection of models. Our photographer Fred and his crew fly all over the world to book girls for our shoots. A stationary studio would limit us to local girls or we'd have to convince them to come to us. While consistency would improve from set to set, the selection of girls would not.

Actually, I read in her blog that "that prissy Jana Cova" recently did a bj web cam show. I haven't joined her site recently to see it was archived. I had been checking out her blog to see how she felt about having her contract end with Digital Playground. She seems pretty positive about it (Jana Cova is a VERY positive woman generally), sounds like she is looking forward to the freedom from being a contract girl.
