The problem is that the economy has slowed filming down to such a level that girls can't make a living doing porn so although you can make a quick buck here and there. Many girls prefer to find a nice crappy job that pays them a lot less but at least will last longer. It wasn't that long ago that an Eastern European gilr could make over 30 films and countless internet appearances but these days they shot maybe 5-6 scenes and then switch to escorting or look for a normal job.

I don't know if they are changing direction as much as looking at different ways to add new content for the least amount of money. The vast majority of their sites no longer update and those that do often have a past performer make a comeback or have the new girl do a very similar scene on a couple of different sites normally a few weeks apart. There's also the leased content that gets uplaoded as new material when it's just to the network. I don't know if the scenes involving US performers is leased material or they are buying stuff from someone over here.
There is a shortage of European models at the moment so this must add to their problems. Seeingas the economy isn't getting better than I don't expect to see any improvements anytime soon. Mind you I only pay 10$ a month for 21 sextury so I still get plenty of great porn mixed with the crap.

First of all, please let me apologize for the late reply, but business matters kept me away from the forum.
Indeed, we are also experiencing this slowdown, and we made and still making an extended investigation to find out the core of the problem. Slowdowns happened in the past too for some reason or another, but we managed to resolve them in a few days. This is something new though and having a third party server provider doesn't help to speed up the repair process, for our greatest sorrow.
Nevertheless, we are on it and we've found a few possible glitches which has been already forwarded to our partner in hope they can locate the issue and resolve it in the very near future.
Until it happens, let us ask for your patience and accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Excellent review. Thanks for all the information. Sometimes I think I'm the only regular here who has never been a member to this site. The reason I've never joined is the confusing membership. My concern was that I'd sign up for a specific site and find that I need to wait for three months to get it. When it comes to porn, I'm a bit impatient!
But your comment on the membership is the closest I've heard that the old 'structured' membership is gone and replaced with 'you get what you pay for' membership. I think it's probably safe for me to add this to the list now.

I am wondering if the model pages will be getting the names added, as was mentioned above previously. I really don't like the new style design with all big pictures and no text on the Scenes and Models pages. If you want to find a particular model it's more difficult this way. Every time I go back to there to decide whether to rejoin or not the site design really puts me off. Very 'modern & fresh' but not so easy to actually use. I'm sure it's just me, though. I'm maybe a little old-fashioned.

thanks for replying - here's one more question - i posted this in general comments as well.
I just took another look at the website again and looked at the video samples - they all seemed to be only anal videos during sex.
I believe their sites concentrate more on the anal thing - but is there enough non-anal vids and pics to satisfy those of us doesn't care for the anal stuff?
I used to like watching videos mostly - but now I like good large quality pics more. I want to start back watching videos a bit - but a site that has a combination of vids a pics would be nice. I don't care for video still shots.

Everywhere on the completely new designed website you find click-traps for buying "lifetime-credits" for individual scenes. Just as you, I did not understand, why this could be interesting for me, so I bypassed this feature and moved on browsing and downloading. Suddenly my browser and operating system crashed, so I had to reset my computer. Shit happens. So what. But after restarting my operating system and logging-in again at 21sextury.com, I found my account set to inactive! "Dear customer, you have an inactive lifetime-account." Fine! Means, I can login, but my rights are set on guest-mode, just like I visit 21sextury.com as a Non-Member. When I try to download videos or to view pictures, I get redirected to the regular join-site. I have already sent 5 emails to online-support, but they just seemed to sleep at this time on the other side of the planet. So I tried to help myself and began to explore my member-account. This way I found the Section "Settings". And there I learned, that I now have the "livetime-right" to view an individual scene, which is not a favorite of mine at all, which I never have chosen nor downloaded. So guys, beware! When you click to buy "livetime-credits" for individual scenes, or your OS crashes and you find, your machine or a different UFO has done such a click for you, your account will expire! Then you may buy new credits with real money, to reactivate your account. This is the 21sextury.com-way to manage worldwide financial crisis.

thank you very much for all the constructive comments about the new credit system. I'm happy to see your positive approach to this new function.
Please let me add a few notes to clear some of the confusion.
As you've very correctly mentioned before, 21Sextury Credit is meant to be a bonus, something to offer a chance to buy scenes even after your subscription has expired, or buy scenes from our other Network you may not have access to. These purchased scenes are attached to the lifetime account, and will also be available for lifetime.
Although the usage of the credits are quite limited at the moment, we promise to expand the options in the future. Of course it would be a tad bit too early to speak about details just yet.
Very important: This whole credit system doesn't mean that we plan to introduce DRM. It never was part of our policy and we won't implement it now either.
A few words about the model names and scene titles.
We are aware that some of our members prefer to see it constantly and find the mouse-over requirement uncomfortable. We are currently working on a solution which both looks good and comfortable to satisfy every needs, it hopefully will go live soon.
As usual, we try to follow all of your feedback. Please keep sharing your opinion and ideas with us about the new look and features (or about anything), we are grateful for every constructive comments.

I hope I did lol! If not, 21st Sextury is going to be really pissed at me. I've always known this company to be a very stand-up company that sometimes seems to have problems explaining their new features, I'm guessing the language difference plays into that, but just couldn't see them using DRM either.

I was confused too when I woke up and logged in, thought lots of the old site looked better to be honest, main disappointment was the models scenes now have to be hovered over to see what site it is from, I suppose you get used to it but I did like the look of the old site better.
That said I will find the credit system good to after membership you get the chance to get the updates you are maybe interested in, that way they get more money I guess from people like me who maybe join once a year to a site, will spend more with them cause they will buy credits to keep topped up with models they like. I know I don't join sites too regular and wait till there's quite a few new scenes to make it worthwhile, so this new feature is certainly of interest with me.

I posted the entire announcement above, but I admit I'm confused. Being a auto-renewing (and very satisfied) subscriber who does not plan to unsubscribe, I'm not sure what this adds for me.
Being skeptical as well, I'm wondering if this is the first step toward charging extra for downloads and/or other changes to the current subscription terms or as Rusty asks, is this a precursor to (re-) instituting some form of DRM.
Perhaps someone smarter than me can tell me what this really means.
In the meantime I'm now focused on downloading as much of the good stuff as humanly possible if/when DRM comes back in. (It's a task I'm happy to undertake).

I agree with you in that I consider everything I downloaded from 21Sextury as owned by me. Not in the legal sense, of course, but that I can look at it as long as I want, member or not.
Could it be that they are sneaking in DRM? If they don't handing out credits doesn't make sense.

I checked out 21sextury this month, and the biggest (and most annoying) surprise was how small all the easily accessible images are. I mean, the ones you can view or download individually are tiny by today's standards. The only way, it seems, that you can obtain larger versions is to download an entire zip file of the gallery -- and that's only available on a few sets. It took AN HOUR to download one of these zips on broadband, then a further 30 mins or so to unzip it, etc... and all I wanted was about four shots in HD. Totally unacceptable.
And the content? Well, I don't know what all the fuss is about. Of all the bizzare categories, there's not even one for regular gals with bush.

Sorry for the confusion, let me clear up the fog about the issue.
We've started LetsPlayLez and TrannySmuts not long ago. The first site got to the 21Sextury Network, while the latter is part of the 21Sexterme Network.
But we have some old members, those who joined before March 2011, when we had no double Network yet. They still have the old offer, and these sites not implemented to the old offer yet.
Soon we will enable these new sites in these old bundles too, let me ask for your patience about it.

That new transexual site is definetely on the 21sextreme network. Of course I don't know what that means for anyone that had an old membership that included the more extreme types of sites. I kind of miss some of the sites now available through 21sextreme but I don't ind that their updates are as good as the ones on the 21sextury network.

If you already have access to 21sextury's group of sites that include pix and video, club sandy lez cuties and many others than this one should also be in the list. Where it might get complicated is if you have an older membership that includes sites now only available through 21sextreme. In that case it's possible that this site is not one you'll get.
I rejoined only after they had made the split so I lost some sites but in return I have access to this one.

It is another of the Russian sites, you could say it is a sluttier version of Lezcuties or perhaps a lesbian version of Gapeland. I'm not yet sure what to think of it. I like the concept in principle because they lose the "innocent little teenygirl" style of Lezcuties while using many of the same models, but haven't been blown away yet.
