I thougth you meant kink.com so my comment were in regards to that network. They don't offer their content on DVD. You can stream it on a couple of sites but it's not the newer stuff and streaming means you pay per the minute so you can make a lot of money that way. A one time membership like videobox is guaranteed to kill your profits.
I consider Private a dead studio because they don't really make new content as much as repackage old stuff. Harmony is still active although I see less stuff as well from them.

I'd be very surpise if you see any kink content on videobox. They are notorious for never having released any DVD of their web shoots. As far as I know there is only one DVD that contains material from their Ultimate Surrender site and it's older content.
I think it would be pretty shortsided for any website to post most of their content on a site like Videobox. Although videobox gets more customers. The payback would make the venture a guaranteed loss of income. I think that except for Vivid and Evil Angel, most of the content on videobox is from dead studios. I'm sure there a exceptions but not many.

That one is from summer 2009 and a lot of things have happened in porn since then...
Guess I'll not go back to VideoBox for primarily two reasons (and a lot others):
In spite of that vast amount the site is worse than ever: Average/bad tech/viewing quality of most vids. And that's definitely the main bummer here!
Bad search system and that extra deal that will cost you money: Vivid and Evil Angel...at least they could have the decency to make it a part of there entire deal..

Yep, the mention of grade B or C DVDs is mostly subjective (as are all reviews) and not an official PU thing. Some scenes might be very much enjoyed by others while, for me, they are spoiled by poor lighting, incredibly poor acting and editing and most importantly lack of imagination, and it indicates to me, as is also the case with main stream Grade B movies, that they were made on a shoestring budget.

RustyJ - the B C and D thing is just subjective. Many of the posts at Videobox just aren't Grade A material. I also agree that much of the older Private stuff is excellent. I'm a big fan of Private and have been for a long time. The stuff that gets posted to Videobox isn't very good though. This is certainly a personal thing, but I really don't like boy-boy-girl scenes and those seem to be more common than boy-girl in a lot of the Private titles that get posted on Videobox.

If you're looking for the highest quality, then the quality of Evil Angel vids at Videobox is higher than the quality of the vids at EvilAngel.com.
Another option is the network centered around Buttman.com, which has very high quality vids available - they claim HD - and a significant amount of web-only material. They also have fucking hideous navigation, so finding the web-only material is a chore and a half.
If you're looking for Rocco's stuff - and Rocco's new work is excellent - you are only going to find that at EvilAngel.com.

I think the reason they charge extra for these two channels is that they are perfectly aware that most of the material on their site is crap, and thus they feel they can charge more for material that has a higher percentage of decent content.

I like the extra channels, but I'm a huge fan of older Vivid DVDs back when April Flowers and Raylene were in their primes. It is a blend, mostly newer content, especially on Evil Angel. They throw some 90s/early 2000s Vivid in though. You get 3-4 Evil Angel per week, think the total available right now is around 330 DVDs from Evil Angel and you get 3-4 Vivid per week, usually every other day and Vivid has right around 300 full DVDs on there as of right now. I think if you've never joined the channels then it's worth the money especially since they've now combined the two channels into one price. It used to be Videobox $14.95, Vivid $17.95, Evil Angel $17.95, now it's just Videobox $14.95 + Vivid and Evil Angel $17.95.

In my opinion, no, especially if you have joined as a member of both anytime recently. Of course, I generally dislike evil angel, so others might value it more. The updates from those studios aren't super-common, and for the most part I don't think they are all that new of material.
You can easily browse all they offer and decide if it is worth it to you, unless they have significantly changed the preview in the last couple of months.

Unfortuantely, you do not get any photography from Hustler - they just wouldn't let us buy them :/

If you think it might be codecs at fault, get a program called GSpot. It'll identify what codecs were used to create a file and tell you whether or not you have it installed on your computer. Once installed and opened, it scans your PC for all installed codecs. You then drag and drop any video file to it and it'll display the results. Best of all, it's free! Available here.

Using several download managers,the latest being Mipony what you describe is quite common at a multitude of sites including file hosting ones.It seems to be worst during the `Rush Hour` on the internet.

I think the theory is that the watermark is supposed to be a sign of ownership. So the watermark is supposed to discourage piracy. As well as being a form of advertising.
But like I said, and I'm sure a lot of PU members will agree, there's no need for large watermarks. They are just ugly and distracting, and can actually hide part of what you want to see in a video or photo.

No you do not get the wakeupnfuck scenes included with your standard membership but I believe you get them for free if you stay a member for 3 or 6 months. You can always join just this site for 15 Euros.
It's not a bad price and you do get some exclusif stuff and the only hardcore scene of some porn performer.
