I was a member about 3 weeks ago and they only had a small selection of all their available magazines . I believe they have another site dedicated to only printed material.
I found some really great videos but my biggest issue with the site is that you are still only getting a small portion of all the Private movies and that really sucks. I don't know what their update schedule is supposed to be but I know that they did not update one single new movie while my membership was active. They added individual scenes but no actual full movies.

I'm a current member and can sort of answer your question. I wish I could give you a straight answer but the problem is that something strange happened with my membership. When I joined I first accessed the site using the link provided when my membership was confirmed. I didn't save the link or even note what it was because I had no reason to think that I'd need to. That site did have magazines available and my plan was to go through them later. But the thing is that the next time I went to log onto the site using private.com it was a different site. The site looked different, the navigation looked different and there were no magazines. The videos were all the same though. I don't know if I just happened to join just as they were updating the site but I can say for certain that with the site you access through private.com there are no magazines.
As for photos, there's bad news there too. There are no photo sets that I can find. There are photos available but they are related to the videos (though they don't look like screenshots). They also open in the same viewer that the streaming videos use so there doesn't appear to be any way to download them as zips.
I wish I had better news for you...

I'm often tempted to join because I would love to get access to their newer material but I think that it is PPV or pay a DVD price per movie for the new stuff.

Their stock is trading at .25 a share. I think they are having huge cash flow problems and can't seem to find a niche with their vast achchives. Print and DVD business is way down and they haven't had a strong internet site and their other distribution channels are not doing well.

Yes, definitely. Possibly the only brand names that FINALLY got their acts together as far as having workable sites are Playboy and Penthouse, but they were behind the times for quite a while at first.

I can't speak about the site because I haven't been a member in many years but I haven't see a true new movie from Private in a long time. As far as I know all their releases are comp taken from their large library of movies.

you're right. we're currently working on getting HD (and even higher regular quality) into the site.
The standard quality will be comparable to the brazzers stuff and the HD will be, well HD :)
We're also making the switch from dvd -> internet to internet -> dvd production. We're currently shooting the first internet scenes and I have to admin they look really great, stay tuned for more!

i'm sorry i have been a private member and fan for years but the member site "improvements" are a con.. first last week we had 20+ years of magazines now we have a couple of years and you can't even view a full page..plus the set up is awful.. the movies are all over the place and less than we had last week..there is no sextras section which many people enjoyed especially the backstage shoots ..now all gone..and the stars section is a joke..last week if i wanted a picture set of a particular girl there was probably 2 or 3 photosets.. now all we get is a series of movie stills.. its very easy to say updating 3 times a day when all you are updating is old content that we had last week ..
so let me get this straight.. my membership now buys me less content, presented poorly than it did last week and it will take another year to get the old content back... i want my old site back or my money back!!!

I've just joined and I'm sorry to say I'm disappointed. I expected large, quality pictures and there doesn't seem to be any. I expected access to magazine pictures going back to 1965 but instead find out (after I'd joined) that the magazine 'archive' only goes back seven years and that these pics are quite small compared to my PC screen. They don't even appear to be the full picture either but are cropped.
I did join Private's website a few years back and it was far far better. What has happened???
I expected much better from the world's number one porn company.

But maybe they will improve the site, although i wouldn't hold my breath

Hey RustyJ,
PeterV is a bit bitter because when we changed the site about 2 months ago we didn't include all the original content that was on the old site (we removed a bunch of dvds).
I of course can understand that old members are upset about that and that they want them. However we gave them a few months notice to download the ones they like to keep to prevent "gaps".
When we changed we simply decided not to add everything because of the tremendous amount of work that comes with that. The old dvds will be added over time so there's actually nothing to worry about it.
For a new users this site is extremely good, over 1500 scenes including all pictures (that was not on the old site).
We're currently also working on including HD in your membership but of course because of the big amount of content it's a lot of work.
Oh and btw, there are absoultely no hidden charges, everything is included in a membership (also NO DRM).

I'm always interested to read other PU's reviews of my favourite Kink sites like this one. I'm always a little concerned when I score them high that others will think I'm being subjective so when I see other members scoring high I know I'm not too far off the mark.
Like you, I think this is one of the best sites that Kink offers, and I think Kink is a great network too. This may be just me rationalizing it, but Kink's production values are so high (and therefore there costs must be very high) that I don't see the price as a problem. But... like you I look for email discounts and once you're a member of one Kink site you can join the others at discounted prices. Still, it would be nice to have some bundling option.
Anyway, great review!
BTW - some (like me) see the 'failed scenes' as a pro since they add to the realism. I wish there were more of them.

Thanks Rusty, For some reason I can't view their previews or download them. I had even went to one TGP site I trust, Tiava's, searched public disgrace and got around 40 results, but when I clicked them to download the samples the pages were blank. Maybe they were just having some technical issues.
That indoor, dark, repetitive part was the part I was worried about since I've been a member on 3 of their sites and all 3 sites seemed to shoot in the same general area. Feel the same about the tied part. I noticed in one of the pictures, a woman covered with clothespins clipped onto her body and that's one of those things I don't think I could get into either. Maybe I can get some of the samples to start working and start re-considering whether to join or not.

Yeah I think its probably mostly scripted stuff here with the indoor stuff, it must be easier to make these vids as its much less risk, but some of the outdoor stuff you'd think must be for real, they couldn't afford to employ all these passers by. I prefer the outdoor stuff as I like public nudity and don't think theres enough of it. I love FTV girl/girl stuff when they go outside and flash in public areas. In fact I prefer flashing to totally nudity which is weird I guess.

There is no way to tell how close you are to the limit. They don't have any indication. But to make matters worse it seems that there is no universal application of the limit either. Some members here report having a limit imposed (like me) and other say they never had a limit. The Terms of Service are vague too in that they say there is a daily limit of 10GB (which might have been acceptable ten years ago but isn't realistic now) but there is some vague language about allowing a higher limit if you downlaod larger files. I emailed them to ask for clarification on that but never heard back.
I don't think there's any punishment factor here. I think that if at any time in a 24 hour period you hit the limit (amd I hit it at downloads as low as 7GB in a day) you get blocked from downloading for 24 hours.
Maybe with some luck you'll be one of the members who don't have a limit imposed. I'm not completely against limits, but 10GB isn't reasonable.

The only problem with their filter is that it doesn't list in order the anal scenes. You'd think that if you offer a filter option than at least it would start from the latest scene and move to the vey first one, but not on this site.

I've always felt that Reality Kings had the best pictures amongst the major North American sites. That has changed as anyone who has downloaded recent sets from Brazzers can attest. (Not trying to toot Brazzers horn as I know they are not very popular, but this is the truth).
However they are still very good. Although I don't know the specs.

I'm pretty sure 900x600 is the best they have so the preview ones should give you a good idea of the quality.
Unfortunately, too often they mix many screen captures into the photos to allow continuity of the scene's events even though there's also a separate screen captures section. You end up with mostly 900x600 photos but also some slightly smaller and darker screen captures in between.
