My reason for being uncomfortable about having any porn on my hard drive would be the age factor. I would not want my family to find my stash upon my demise that's why I keep everything on three highly encrypted externals. If they want to check them out, all they will see is three "empty" drives that need to be formatted.

Why are you uncomfortable with downloading a video to your harddrive graymane? Virus or space concerns?
I agree streaming is nice for previews, but I find it annoying as the only option, especially if poorly setup with tons of buffering and whatnot...

I believe buying used clothes from an adult model should fall into a different category, even if they are in exchange for some item from her wish list. Buying clothes would cater to a clothing fetish but it wouldn't make sense if guys who bought off wish lists were doing so because of the signed DVD, picture or magazine the porn star might send in return.
I can't help but think this wish list phenomenon is a postmodern version of what is shown in movies depicting the beginning of the 20th century where guys happily buy showgirls all sort of things and never get laid in exchange.

LOL. Hardly a conversion, graymane. Let's call it an expansion because I liked porn even when very young. I read everything from Henry Miller's "Tropic" books to "The Story Of O," I bought every "girlie" magazine that could be legally bought here in Canada, plus a few of the spicier ones when abroad, but before the Internet, as I said, the Porn that could be obtained in Canada (at least in my neck of the woods) was all relatively tame.
The last ten years or so have been an eye opener .. there are things I never imagined being done by anyone, like ATM, cum swapping, cum swallowing etc. and right up to this momentous poll I really believed these things were only found in porn. I would have never dared ask them of my wife, nor would I have thought of doing so. Except for my Porn habit I have lived very much a vanilla life. Which is fine with me! And this is as lengthy as I will ever get about my personal life. :-)

My sis - lol - my sis always accuses me of giving TMI, so it's not the type of thing she would want to know. So overall I'd have to say no, but who knows. I would not volunteer this info to her for that reason and we don't exactly discuss it. I have talked about things I've seen but not where I've seen them and really in general terms (like squirting for instance.) It's not that I care about how she feels about it - just she wouldn't want to be burdened by the knowledge. So we have never discussed porn at all.
With regards to drugs, well she knows I've dabbled with them in the 70s and was also a drug counselor on the streets for a time, so that conversation was pretty easy to have.
I wish my sis didn't feel that way - I trust her implicitly and would like her as a confidant. But I can only speak here about porn.... and drugs.

Although it's really tough to figure out what graymane really thinks about ass licking, etc., I think I might agree.
For the life of me I can't remotely understand why anyone would do it, let alone enjoy watching it done in porn.
Pornography is about fantasy. Speaking for myself, the porn user is into porn primarily as a fantasy where the doers in a video are creating a vicarious experience for the porn user. I also really enjoy watching the female body and the female engaging in heavy tease.
I can even understand the amount of attention paid to blowjobs from the context of wanting to have my wang slurped by the babe on the screen. But who wants to see extended shots of a schlong?
But asshole licking!?! How is that gross activity even remotely entertaining? It's like my other question. In extreme porn one can see piss drinking and shit eating, which are, in my opinion, as disgusting as ass hole licking.

Great story! Made me LOL. After my first time (see Msg #9 below) I did the same thing at least once and probably more, only I didn't have the thrill of having a teacher watching me. I would have loved to have seen the look on her face...I sure she had to know what had just happened.

Besides, not everyone has jumped on the HD/widescreen bandwagon. Me, for instance. I've never felt the need to go that way. I still watch my porn on a standard tube 17-inch monitor, and it works well enough for me.
I figure that if some folks want to fork out the extra dough to view the stuff on a larger screen with better quality, that's not a bad choice if you're OK with that kind of discretionary spending. But we don't all have to fit into the same box.

"Smaller" is a relative term, as widescreen can look smaller on a standard definition monitor, i.e. 4:3 aspect ratio. However a standard definition video can look smaller on a widescreen monitor (most likely an HD monitor), whereas a widescreen video would be full screen on this monitor.
Yeah it's confusing (especially when I explain it), but it really depends on the aspect ratios of the video and the display. A 60 inch standard definition TV from the '90s would make any 4:3 video look huge, even if it's not technically as large pixel-wise as an HD 1080p video, which would be a 16:9 widescreen ratio.
And people insist size doesn't matter! : - O

Then it can't be done on a company computer, or probably even on company property--using your own laptop you would likely still rely on their Internet connection.
I think it's a good rule of thumb to be overly paranoid anytime your on a public computer or using a computer in a public area. Yes, even in the privacy of your own office/cubicle/wherever you should assume something or someone is tracking your browser history and therefore your at-work porn appetite.
The intention is sound; people are at work to work, not goof off on 'tube sites or take care of their morning wood. Save for a few jobs your work probably doesn't involve going through porn videos or pics and it's best such activities remain at home.

Interesting comments, Gray. When I think of the money I threw away chasing (real) women a couple decades ago, it makes me sick. Luckily, I rebuilt things and changed my standards. What I spend on porn in two or three YEARS now, was once wasted on women in two or three NIGHTS! That also doesn't include the time wasted in the chase. Time spent in a good relationship is SO MUCH BETTER!

I took so many classes over the years that a little actually sunk in.
Truth be told, "repulsive" and "vulgar" and "low-class" (I often hear the word "ghetto" also used very negatively as an adjective also, as in "That's so ghetto"), all denote disgust with those who don't live up to the standards of the upper class. Americans may believe in equality, but we have lots of the historical English class system beliefs just under the surface.

I can't speak for the genius part but I frankly don't want to hear what happens behind the scene of a porn shoot. I can't imagine that it's a very pleasant subject. If she only wants to talk about that then at some point I will try to move the conversation away from said subject. I'm pretty sure that we could find a subject that we agree on that doesn't involve bodily fluid accident during an anal scene.
