The ALS sites are easily among the best out there - in terms of quality and in terms of the care of the guy who runs it. He is amazingly responsive to his members given how busy he must be with the sites themselves.
The context I was writing in, was one of someone who appreciates good porn (as I see it of course - we can only speak for ourselves). I like to review music also. The fact that I don't consider porn or music to have the same importance as world politics (and clearly they don't!) does not mean I therefore paid little care to my review.
I happily corrected the mistake that you quite rightly pointed out. But everyone makes mistakes. Don't use my honesty in admitting that one error as a stick to beat me with, regarding my reviews in general!
As for that voice - I didn't say it was yours. Are you saying that you are the guy whose voice is on there? Why is it relevant whether I would consider it to be alto or bass or whatever? The only issue I had was that it *sounds* gay. I know the guy (you?) is NOT gay. I didn't use the term 'gay' as an insult either (I have no interest in homophobia, and find homophobics to be pathetic) - and I know you didn't accuse me of that, but I think it's important to clarify the point. But I still don't like to hear male voices - or worse still, gay-sounding male voices - in my porn videos.
I think it was valid to mention this in my review - I know from reading many other porn reviews in the past, that a dislike of male voices in all-girl porn films is not unique to me, so is a point of interest to potential subscribers.

Hi Robare - your point about me not mentioning American girls is valid - I'm about to amend my review. I didn't mean to mislead - it was an oversight, and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. And while I find most American sites to feature annoyingly badly acting girls who can't shut up (!) I did actually find the Americans in this site to be generally much more natural.
If you think this was a negative review - you should hear my opinion on many sites that Porn Users don't feature. There are some dreadful ripoffs out there that I would struggle to give much more than zero, they're that bad, i.e. not delivering any of what is promised in the tour screens - just excuses to get an email address to send junk to!
So on balance, I reckon I gave Alsscan an above-average score.
One final point - you said you only saw one scene where the fluid 'might have been pee' - well, I can tell the difference, there's no 'might' about it! I know which hole pee comes out of, and what pee looks like, as opposed to girl cum. No offence intended.

This seemed like a fair review to me, though I disagree with it on key points, ALS Scan being a site that I compare all other younger women sites to for excitement factor. I actually find that this site is good at showing the lighter-humored aspects of their models. I don't believe that any other site has ever show-cased Susana Spears as being such a cheerful woman as ALS Scan did, instance.
Their Caribbean 2006 material is just wonderful at showing hot gorgeous women having fun in between the fisting and peeing and all that stuff - they certainly do a better job at this than FTV Girls, from what I've seen of that site's materials.
The excitement factor really is a matter of taste, though, and I wouldn't ding you for having different tastes than I do, since your review was fair and straight-forward.

Hi there - Thanks for responding. I think what you're voicing comes down to what the purpose of a review is. As I was writing the ALS Scan review, it did occur to me that, to some extent, I was faulting a dog for not being a cat, but that's also why I made sure to be very clear about my objections, so someone like yourself would understand precisely what my gripes were (and could thus dismiss them if they weren't in line with their own tastes). I also was determined to let readers know the positives of the site (gorgeous girls, high-quality pictures, a long-running history, etc.). I figured that when they were finished with my review, they might say, "Okay, I get where she's coming from, but this site sounds ideal to me."
Admittedly, this one was a tough call for me, because, as I mentioned above, I felt like it was unfair of me to hold the site to my idiosyncratic standards. What ultimately led me to write the review is that I do believe I could enjoy the site if some of the changes I recommended were made. After all, I've enjoyed Nubiles and FTV, and while ALS is slightly different, they all come under that general umbrella of younger girls gone bad. =) So I felt somewhat justified, as long as I were fair and thorough. You obvioulsy know the ALS site much better than I do. (I haven't been a subscriber in over a year.) So I hope what you're saying is true about the girl-girl stuff, because when I was a member it was lame ... pretty girls pretending to be bi, often looking bored (or silly). I'm not familiar with Nella and Liv, but I will say that there was a girl named ... hmm ... Doria maybe? Or Dora? And she was just about the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. She also looked just like one of my classmates at the time, which made for a cool overlap. If she's still around, please tell her I love her. =)
FYI - Alex put a note in his blog this week that they were having a limited time sale on their DVD's. To tell the truth, I've never bought the DVD's so I didn't check out the details on the sale, but I remembered that there was someone here that mentioned liking the DVD purchase option, so I thought I'd add this note.
One other note - I e-mailed Alex and let him know the feedback here about how much higher value people think his sites would have if the entire library of vids were available.

So that un-met expectations aren't created, ALS Scans promises to keep the videos up for 1 month. It is often the case that they get left up for quite a bit longer - 2 months is about the maximum.
But then 1 day you will log in and all the vids older than 4 weeks are gone - until they're brought back at some point in the Director's Favorites area or as part of a bonus or as a re-mastered vid.
It would be nice if they kept vids up for 2 months in a consistent way.
I apologize for my error. I was a member for many months and I do not remember having 2 months of videos on hand at any one given time, but that was last year. Maybe it is different now. The only reason I gave up my membership is because most of the videos were single girl scenes, and I prefer girl/girl action. I know there are some available, but they are few and far between.
I agree with your review that this is a great site with one exception. The videos only stay on the site for one month (not two), which is a downer. See the quote below from the site:

This site has the same update system as most of the new 21st Sextury sites (Sweetsophiemoone, Footsiebabes, Horny Eurosluts...): aproximately two new sets (pictures and videos altogether) are added each week, but the videos are added in small chunks (the first three minutes one day, the next three minutes the next day, etc.), so you often have to wait for another week to be able to see the complete video.
After a set is added, it stays in the archive forever, and you can access it anytime. Right now, Dirty 101 has about 100 sets (each set has pictures and video).
All videos are HQ, and each one lasts for about 20-30 minutes, which is 200-350 MB more or less.

I have not been a member since they released the HD formate. I was there when they had I believe 3 MBit video, it might have been 2 though, not sure off hand. But I have seen a few places already with 8 MBit video. The look absolutely stunning, even at full screen on a 1600x1200 monitor. The only issue with these, after they are downloaded anyway, is that they take a lot of system resources to play. Forget about multitasking if you are playing one of these unless you have a hell of a machine. The videos end up starting a bit jittery for me, but even up after a few seconds and skipping around the video takes a little time too. Granted the computer I was using is not the fastest out there now, but it does pretty well. If you have the ability to download that large of a file by all means do it, you wont regret it once it has finished a week later for those of you still cursed with dial up. :)
Oh yes, back the file up on dvd if you can, the last thing you want is for the file that took 3 hours even on a 3 MBit/s connection to corrupt and have to redownload it!
I am truly curious to know if they enforce the download limits!?!?!
I download this entire is about 6-8 months ago and I was blowing well over 15 GB per day. I was actually very close to 20 GB per hour honestly! Perhaps I got lucky?
Those bit rates are not unheard of. I actually have some videos at that rate. But none the less that is exciting because I have been considering rejoining. i might have to bump them up on my schedule!
