Mostly I agree, although I find TBP reviews to be more objective where PU reviews can be a bit more subjective - which I think is a good thing.

Some of what we watch is not on the TV, but I guess it still counts. Mostly I just watch PBS, the Daily Show (online). Thankfully now that we don't have cable I no longer have to site through my lady's strange addiction to "My Strange Addiction", I'm hoping its not on Hulu somewhere.

Like pat362 I got one free with a TV, and I think it is significantly better than DVD although I doubt I would have gotten one if it hadn't been free, but the expense is usually not significantly different (well Redbox is like 50% more, but that still isn't exactly expensive).
While Sony certainly fucked up the betamax thing trying to keep it a proprietary technology, they didn't do that here, and they developed Blu Ray with a bunch of heavy hitters in technology as I understand it.
I think its worth having if you have a nice, large TV, and I doubt it'll go anywhere anytime soon or at a minimum whatever comes next will be backwards compatable.

I usually prefer the h.264 mpeg-4, which I guess could be included in mpg, but since that usually refers to an mpeg-1 or mpeg-2 I chose other. I find this question a bit odd. If it is referring to file extensions some of these can represent several different types of videos.

I'm also with rearadmiral on this one. Well said. I also think some, especially some of the euro sites, could do a bit more editing, I don't really have a need for 40-60 minute scenes generally speaking and I have gotten too lazy to edit them myself lately.

Not so much now, perhaps as things improve I might be more interested. Although the 3D stuff I've seen in the theatre has given me a headache, don't know that I want that after porn viewing.
