I wonder if this might be part of their business model. Rather than simply cancelling online they make you call them and listen to their pitch to stay. I'd guess that's an expensive way to do business.

Twisty's is a site that's been on the outer edge of my radar for a while. Thanks to your thorough review I think it may have been bumped up a bit since you answered some questions that I've had. The one bit of bad news is the difficulty you had cancelling your membership. That might be a deal-breaker for me.

Has anyone got an update on this? I'd like to take advantage of the offer too but not if it is this limited. And I strongly suspect that TBP/PU had no knowledge of this. I trust the people that run these sites.

Your review was interesting to read. Ultimate Surrender is one of the few Kink sites that I've never really gotten into. It's a niche that doesn't really do anything for me and since it is all-girl that's a downside for me too. But for those who like this niche I have to recognize that if anyone is going to do it right it would be Kink.

I had no idea that Kink used to have download limits. I'm glad I stumbled on them after those were lifted because I probably would never have gone back. I agree that they could improve their navigation. One thing they're doing on The Training of O lately is to name day 1 something that isn't related to days 2 through 4 so you have to work to put the sets together.
10GB a month... I'm glad that's gone!

Interesting review. I'm a huge Kink fan too and have a couple of memberships on the go now as well. This is one of the Kink sites that intrigued me but that I've never taken the plunge and joined because I'm not certain if I'd like it. What I did a while back was when I had a Videobox membership I waited until the last days of my monthly membership and joined the Kink Channel for the pro-rated price and downloaded all the Ultimate Surrender stuff there. I'm glad I did it that way, because while this site brings all the usual high-quality aspects that Kink is known for, the niche just isn't for me.
I agree with your negative comments about Kink, but I assess them differently, I guess. The site navigation is basic on all their sites, but given that each site is such a narrow niche I don't find that an issue.
One thing I definitely agree with you on is the need for a zip file for ALL the photos in a set. I don't download photos much, but Kink's approach needs to be rethought.

Thanks for posting this. I've never heard of the site but it looks great, even though as you say it's a lot like Wow Girls. I've recently cancelled a membership with the same biller listed for this site (Vendo) and I had no issues so I think I'll take the plunge on this.

I'm more of a video collector and these sites tended to favour photos. I've kept some of the videos and they were probably substandard resolution even five years ago. One of these days I'll take the plunge and join a couple of solo sites again.

I've always wondered about that too, and can only conclude that it has to be the model's choice. But it seems to me that once a model gets into this business she might as well go all the way.
My biggest beef with these solo 'teen' models is that they are almost always poorly done. I'll admit it has been a while since I joined one, but the picture and video quality tends to be poor.
But like you I'm still drawn to these sites. This one (and the network) are on my list of sites to join at some time.

Good catch, exotics. She is definitely hot. This site's page at TBP says that it bills through CCBill, but clicking through to Melissa Pass (which gives access to Val's site too) says there is no independent merchant. I might consider joining, but I'd definitely prefer to see a reputable biller used. (Plus, my preference would be for the lovely Val to have A-cups, but a guy can't have everything...)
[Edit - I was browsing around on Val's site and it appears that if you join there (through CCBill) you still get access to all the sites on Melissa Pass - and it looks like the price is lower for a three month membership through Val's site.]

I can't figure out why this market hasn't been tapped. The production costs are long gone so all it would take is digitizing them. It would be great if a site like Videobox would create a 'classics' channel to give these older titles what they deserve.

Seriously though, I have been thinking of rejoining as well. It's been a long time and, like you, even though I'm more picky these days than I used to be I'm sure I could find hundreds of scenes that interested me.
I'm also glad to hear that the are still pro-rating the additional channels. That can make them excellent values if bought later in your membership.

I read your review carefully hoping for something that might induce me to join VB again but you weren't able to provide that. I haven't been a VB member in a few years and it sounds like nothing has changed. The duplicate scenes probably shouldn't bug us so much, but like you, that really got under my skin.
VB remains an excellent option for someone just getting into porn collecting and moving away from the pirating sites, but for collectors like most of us here, it makes little sense. I see VB as a being like a buffet when you're a foodie and want gourmet.

Carefully consider any decision to add Evil Angel as a premium to VB. It may be that it works for you, but it might not. I know that with a monthly membership the Premium channels are pro-rated so they can be inexpensive if you wait to add them on until later in your monthly membership but I don't know how it works when you have an annual subscription.
The other thing to consider is video quality. I was a VB member a couple of months ago and added Elegant Angel. While it is true that the Premium channels offer 'HD' you can do much better on the actual studio site. It may not make a difference to you, but I'd join Evil Angel at the TBP discount and get true HD instead of adding the EA Premium channel at VB.
I should add that Evil Angel is among my top three favorite studio sites so that may influence my decision too. Your choice may be different, but think about quality and not just price.

Another confirmation that this site is no longer worth joining. I kept a recurring membership there for several years but cancelled maybe five years ago. Back when I cancelled the recurring membership the site was starting to fall behind and they've done nothing to stop that gap from increasing. I'm convinced that they need to drop the five-DVDs-per-day and focus on quality DVDs and better file resolutions. I suspect that there are tube sites that have better quality.

Great review, and I'm not just saying that because I agree with everything you wrote. You've provided some important details about some new changes to the site.
But... the fact remains that I do agree fully with what you wrote. The model the use is unsustainable and promotes quantity over quality. They need to pull back to one or two better updates per day rather than loading up the crap that they do.
What I am glad you reported on was the "HD" stuff is now lower quality. It wasn't great the last time I joined a few months back, but now knowing it's even worse I likely won't ever join again. Why would anyone pay to join VB when it doesn't offer them anything they can't get for free on a Tube site? One of the reasons I pay for porn is to get access to better quality.

You and I are roughly the same age and for me the golden age of porn was from maybe 1993 to 2000. A lot of the reasons for that are personal and specific in that prior to 1993 porn videos were very hard to get where I lived thanks to draconian laws. But it became available in the early 1990s as porn started to move to gonzo. Gonzo then was a lot more fun to watch then the plot-based stuff of the 1970s and 80s. Those were the days when John Stagliano and Joey Silvera were creating and defining what would become modern porn. I do wish the quality was better, but I'll always be happy with a site that allows me to rebuild the porn video collection from my early days.
(In a way it's like music I guess. I grew up in the 1970s and most of the music I listen to is from that era. I'm not sure I could name five modern, popular bands.)

While I agree with you that it would be great if VB would licence and upload some older titles I don't know that they'd be better served overall. I'd love to have access to a wider catalogue of titles from good studios from the 1990s and 2000s.
But the problem with that is that's when guys our age started to get access to good porn and it means something to us. And guys like us are creeping into 'old man' category but some standards. So the younger members might not appreciate these older titles like we would.
I would definitely support a site that gave me decent quality old Anabolic/Diabolic stuff. And many other studios. Maybe I could fulfil my dream of owning every scene Tammi Ann or Inari Vachs did.

I just finished a month membership there and saw this happen twice - where a scene gets uploaded twice in a week because it appears in two crappy compilations. I suspect that there are some scenes on the site six times. Maybe more.
I've said it many times that VB would do well to change their business model. Push quality over quantity. I'd be happy with two good uploads per day rather than four crappy ones and one decent one.

I'm glad I could help you out. I do think that VB passed its prime a long time ago. I think the only reason they can offer such low prices is that they upload crap and only in low resolutions by today's standards.
Like you, I'll celebrate if Kink ever offers some kind of network access.
