I suspect that the sample group here will skew the numbers to the higher end of revisits. Most of the regulars here seems to have a number of sites that they review regularly and encourange others to visit. These reviews and recommendations have led me to some incredible sites that I might not have otherwise visited, and that's a huge plus for being a member here.
For me, it's more than five. FTV Girls, Nubiles, ALS Scan, The Training of O, Sex and Submission, Public Disgrace, Everything Butt, Videobox and Evil Angel (both sites) are in fairly regular rotation.

For me, it says something that I generally avoid 'softer' sites but have Nubiles, FTV Girls and ALS Scan in regular rotation. These are all excellent sites and regardless of them not really being 'hard' enough for my usual preferences, I regognize quality.

I knew that, and I suspect that most people would, but I hoped to avoid any confusion. I really wonder why Adust DVD Empire spun off a site with a name almost identical to crappy, fraudulent site. I'm guessing that someone didn't look around enough.

I don't dispute what ergo says and I put a lot of trust in TBP / PU when they remove a site from their lists, but I just want to add that this Adult Empire that's been blacklisted isn't the same as the VOD site that goes by adultempire.com. The VOD site is a spin-off from the VOD site Adult DVD Empire. Both sites are an excellent source of VOD material and some downloads. I only mention this because I'd hate to think that a reputable site would lose business because they have name very similar to a disreputable site.

I could have answered "yes," but opted for "I get a fair bit, but not all." It's probably a mix for me. I will download all the material a site has in a lot of cases but that isn't being indiscriminate. I spend a lot of time here and at TBP researching a site before i join to make sure it's something I want to join. Take a Kink site like Everything Butt. To them, I might look like a site ripper because I'll download EVERYTHING. But... that isn't being indiscriminate because I've applied the discrimination before I pull out my credit card. It's a site where I know I'll want everything. With other sites, I usually sort by theme and download a lot of what interests me. I have an unofficial list of stars that I look for and I'll download most of their material if there is any on the site. Then I'll poke around at my leisure and maybe 'discover' some new talent that I'd like to see. To use a counter-example, if I joined Bang Bros I'd look like a pretty light user to them because they have almost nothing that interests me. But I won't join because thanks to the information from you guys and at TBP I already know that so I simply don't join.
I'm sure I'm not the only member here who uses this method of choosing memberships.

All good points again. I certainly fit the description of a power users for the first few days of a membership. I'll scour the site for material that interests me, and I'll download that. I won't download something simply because it happens to be on the site. There has to be a reasonable expectation that I'll like what I download. There are several dozen models that I like and if a site has stuff with them I'll download it without question. If I can sort by theme, anal sex, for example, then I'lld o that, but I won't download a scene merely because it has anal sex. If the anal sex scene features a MILF with Double-Ds, then I won't DL that because that type of model doesn't do it for me. So after a few days of downloading madly I'll settle down and be a lot more selective. That's when I start looking at models I don't know in hopes of finding someone who tickle my fancy.
I can see how a DL limit might limit piracy. If a pirate has to take days or months to rip a site, they'll probably avoiding it.

I'm surprised that as of this time the poll is showing 38% of the responses saying they like BTS material. I like it a lot and usually download it when it is offered. My preference is for out-takes, bloopers and interviews with the female models.

What you're saying doesn't sound like BS at all - it sounds perfectly sensible.
I guess I didn't ever think of most other active buyers as being that much different from me in that they'd find a site that they liked and then download a lot of the content because they actually like it. That describes my relationship with many Kink.com sites. I join frequently and download all the new material because that site offers what I like. The opposite might be a site that specializes in big breasts. If I were tempted to join a site it would likely just be for one or two scenes that I liked and then I'd leave. But I guess I just assumed that most users will actually download a lot. But if that isn't the case, I can understand why I'd be seen as a power user and a less desirable customer. I do realize from some comments made on this site that many of the members are much more selective than me.
It must be a bit of a Catch-22 for sites: they create a niche site and they do it well and then they'd have to hope that people who like that niche won't like everything on the site.
Thanks for the information. This is really interesting.

Thanks for the excellent information. Your technical knowledge surpasses mine exponentially. I realize that some people might find this level of information boring, but I'm not one of those.
I hadn't thought of the issue you note with streaming versus downloading, namely that a person streaming the video is unlikely to watch the whole thing, where the person downloading takes the whole file. To add to your argument, even though I download, it's rare for me to watch the scene from start to finish. But where downloading is superior is in being able to access the file at any time without having to have an internet connection or still be a member of the site.
I'm one of the members who keeps coming back to the buffet and who likely looks like a glutton, but I only join sites where I know I'm going to enjoy the material so it just makes sense that if I've put a lot of effort into finding a site I know I'll like that I download a lot. I may seem indiscriminate to the webmaster, but the webmaster can't know the effort I put in to finding that specific site.
I am glad to hear that if there are people like me who use a lot of bandwidth that there are more who don't and the site continues to make money. I'm a porn fan and an active porn buyer and I realize that unless sites make money they won't make more porn.
What do you think of tiered pricing? What if RK offered a $20 membership for streaming and up to 10GB a day and $30 for up to 50GB per day? Would that work? I'm certainly willing to pay for what I get.

It's sort of a hybrid for me. I have it mostly memorized, but I created a password-protected Word doc with the number, expiry date and ccv code. This works great because all I have to do is paste the number in when I use it online.

Interesting thought, and it makes sense with so many people using streaming these days.
I have no technical knowledge at all, but how would streaming and downloading be different from a server's perspective? I didn't download any HD material because of the cap and I don't recall if HD was offered by streaming, but if I download a 2GB scene and you stream it, wouldn't that be the same to the server? But... now that I think of it, I could be comparing apples and oranges here too. I recall that a WMV HD scene is less compressed than an mp4, so streaming may even use a higher compression, thereby making your streaming less of a data hog than my downloading.
Still... it seems odd that I'd be cut off after accessing 10GB of data and other users wouldn't.

Really interesting, informative and well written review! I like the level of detail and I expecially like your thorough descriptions and how your own tastes impact on how you view the site. That's an important element because it allows a reader to make decisions on how their own tastes will be served by the site. I also liked your letter grades for various aspects. That works well within the context of a full review like this.
I was a RK member here recently and HATED the daily download limit. That tainted everything else about the site for me, and I wasn’t that big a fan of the site to begin with. What I find interesting is that the limit doesn’t apply to streaming. Is it possible that you just didn’t hit the 10GB cut-off? I’ll admit though that the contract speaks to a cap on downloads, not data transfer. If they cap downloads by allow data to stream unfettered, this seems odd and may point to another purpose for the limit. Any thoughts?

Agreed. That's my hope for Gloria at Skinny Super Girl, Young Legal Porn and a couple of other Diesel Access sites. I asked the webmaster about that a few months ago and he said that girl/girl was likely in her future but probably not b/g hardcore. That was a sad day for me...

Like most people, I'd prefer to see no limits, but I can understand why some sites use them. But the limit has to be reasonable. The 10GB per day that Reality Kings imposes, for example, is too low given that they offer some HD material. I think being able to download only two or three scenes a day is unreasonable for such a large site. For a small photo site 10GB might be very generous.

Yeah, after I thanked you for steering me away from the site with your review it seems odd that I'd join. But the offer was good. I think if I were really a fan of the site I'd need to spend a much longer time there to apprecaite it. And regardless of hardcore or softcore preferences, I think it's safe to say those of us into hetro sites are all into beautiful women. And Met Art has them by the hundreds.
One thought that kept going through my mind was "where do they find all these stunning women and how do they get them into nude modelling?" Obviously a big draw here is that these women aren't being asked to stick baseball bats up their bottoms, so that increases the potential number of models right there. As for the site size, I assume that based on the type of material they also pay less and therefore can shoot more.
But I'll admit that I was surprised at how much I liked the site. It certainly does well at what it does.

I agree. There are many members here who shoudln't join Sinnistar because it is too extreme, but it is still a good site and I hope the owner does well.
But there can be surprises. A couple of weeks after otoh reviewed Met Art and said it was too sterile I thanked him for steering me away from the site. But then I got an offer to join that was too good to refuse so I joined and found that I liked the site even though it is pretty tame for my tastes and sterile too. But I suspect that it's easier for someone into hardcore to be interested in softcore than the other way around.

I don't think you misinterpreted what I said, but maybe there was a bit of hyperbole in what I said. You know Facial Abuse and Max Hardcore at least as well as I do, so I don't need to describe them. The scenes at Sinnistar aren't all like that, but there are a few throat-fucking scenes that are a bit disturbing in a way I've never seen elsewhere. There's a scene with a cute girl named Kalyn where he fucks her throat in the position made famous by Max - she's bent backwards over the arm of a couch. The disturbing thing is the guy is well endowed and you can clearly see the outline of his penis in her throat. You can actually tell the difference between the head and the shaft as it is in her throat.
All scenes are that bad, but this isn't Kink shoot where there are pre and post interviews so the viewer clearly understands that the model consented to everything and actually had fun. I think its fair to say that some of the models on Sinnistar didn't have fun.
I guess what concerns me is that while I'm pleased when someone joins a site that I really liked and highly recommended, and pleased when someone avoids a site I didn't like and recommended that people avoid, I have mixed feelings about someone avoiding a site I liked based on my review.
But... having said all of that, if you didn't like Facial Abuse then you probably won't like Sinnistar. Sinnistar isn't nearly as abusive. There isn't the same level of slapping, humiliation and vomiting as with Facial Abuse, but it is degrading.
I wish Sinnistar had a better tour page so you could see what I mean.

I was surprised that I like Met Art as much as I did. I probably should join Bound Gangbangs or something in case I start going into hardcore withdrawl. The strange thing is that I'm only moving mildly to hardcore after that with a membership at Nubiles. I haven't been a member for years and I'm looking forward to seeing what's new.
As for animals, I find their use in erotic photography to be distracting and even disturbing. That might say more about me than it does the photographer...
