Yes there are very few reviews on PU for me - I seem to have written half the gay ones! But I hope my contributions will be useful to somebody, and might encourage more gay people to join.
manholelover does some good reviews and has warned me off a couple of sites and introduced me to some new ones - sadly he's not around so much now but I try to keep in touch with him.
TBP are also good about doing a lot of gay reviews which is nice, though I wish they'd concentrate more on reviews of new sites instead of re-reviewing sites they've already done - sometimes several times. Still, I am grateful they do it at all.
There are also other "professional" review sites including ones devoted to gay porn only - it's interesting how much the scores vary between sites!
I still enjoy reading reviews here and taking part in the community, and the $550 I've won since joining has come in very handy too!

It is always so disappointing when you find a site which offers something rare that you're really into, only to find they've messed it up! Happens to me quite a bit - at least we have PU and some great contributors like yourself to warn us off them!

Thanks! Sounds like you found it a little disappointing too - I hope you'll do a review! More pressure we put on them the more likely it is they'll bring videos back - they've done it before!
They never make cancellation very clear but happily it's very easy. You deal with the billing company not the site itself.
When you joined you should have received an e-mail from them from either CCBill or Verotel, whichever you chose to use when you signed up.
If it's Verotel, the e-mail will be entitled "Your Receipt". Just click on the link in the e-mail, choose "Cancel a recurring subscription" and enter the username and password you use to access the site. Click to continue and it should show you the website name and ask if you're sure you want to cancel. Click on "Yes, cancel all future billing" and you're done - you should get an e-mail confirming it's cancelled.
If it's CCBill, the e-mail will be entitled "Confirmation of Subscription XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" with the Xs being one long number. Click on the link in the e-mail and enter how you paid (usually credit card) and then your e-mail address and the long subscription number called subscription ID. Click on search and then it should find it and you can cancel it. Again you should get a cancellation e-mail.
Hang on to your cancellation e-mails just in case there's any issues with them rebilling you, but it shouldn't happen.
If you've deleted your original e-mail, just visit either vtsup.com for Verotel and enter your login details for the site, or support.ccbill.com for CCBill and there you can search using your e-mail address and credit card number if you've forgotten your subscription ID.
You'll still have full access to the site until the end of the day your subscription ends, so make sure you download everything you want before then!

Thank you! It's a little different to my usual as it doesn't include much technical content, but as that's all in my previous review and this review was more of a description of what's changed and how the site has gone downhill and why, I thought this type of review was more appropriate than just repeating information already available in previous reviews.
I like to review sites like this as although not everyone is into them, they still appeal to more than just a gay audience and I hope I give a unique gay perspective on what is not a gay site.
Thanks for bothering to reply, it's always nice to know when a review is appreciated!

Yeah this network of sites is really annoying and disappointing me. They make some of the best porn in the business and then ruin it with crappy service and stupid site policies.
I think if they improved the service they could afford things - I'd love to know what their site turnover rate is - must be the highest in the industry!
Not surprised Straighthell didn't get back to you - they probably won't. Whatever the real reason, and the "anonymity of models" excuse is so patently ludicruous it's insulting - they're not going to change it any time soon.
I've just cancelled my subscription to another of their sites - First Auditions - updates too erractic, no new Groping Hands, expensive - it's just not worth staying a member - just go in and out every few months.

I agree - the site was always primarily a photosite but half-heartedly did add some videos later. Even then though they kept the photos, so even if you hated videos why would you demand they be removed as long as the photos remained?
To stop doing videos right in the middle of a series is particularly annoying and unfair to paying customers.
The irony is I never thought their photos were that great anyway - clear enough but hardly the big sizes you'd expect from a photo-only site.
All very disappointing. Even if they reversed this decision it puts me off rejoining the site because they seem to think nothing of reversing decisions on a whim, so who says they wouldn't do it again?
So many sites have great content wrecked by this awful attitude to customner service, sadly this is one of them!

Excellent review - sounds like they know they have a pretty unique niche so they're exploiting that which is sadly quite common. The price isn't outrageous but the "rotating content" model is - I wouldn't mind it so much but they seem to be using it as an excuse not to offer as many updates, which I don't think is fair.
I've certainly never come across this type policy before and it looks a pretty blatant attempt to keep you subscribing - if only sites would realise that treating customers well and providing regular fresh material is the best way to do that!
Oh well, good review.

Sounds like it's a pity she decided to give up! I was going to say the review should be longer but on reflection with such a site I think it covers everything a user could need to know - sounds like there isn't so much content to review.
I guess I can understand changing your mind about being in the adult industry but my feeling is that as she's out there on the web already and can't undo that, she may as well continue and make some money - but I am sure she had her own good reasons.

Great review. It's a useful site but with a $1 per minute on content I've yet to buy anything there - even the most expensive sites, at around $40-50 per month, give you much more than 40 - 50 minutes of content as this site would for the same price.

Incredible review - and I agree with the previous poster, negative reviews can be even more useful than positive ones.
I had no idea that some sites recycled content like this and passed it off as new - yet another disappointment for me to watch out for - I'm learning a lot from this site! Before I joined PU I didn't evne know some sites were streaming only!
You really go in-depth to warn aboiut a disappointing site. Well done!

Really? Nope, CMNM includes nothing else - sounds typical of this network of studios, they break everything up into as many different websites as possible and they know how to charge. I actually e-mailed them once and suggested a discount if you joined more than one of their sites - got a swift negative response on that little idea!
I think they're doing themselves out of money personally. If I had the cash I'd keep a continuous subscription going to several of their sites, but as it is I rarely join more than one and never more than two at once.

Uh-oh - the second I hear of the slightest problem with cancellation that's enough to put me off a site, so reviews like this are especially helpful. Sites have to be 100% hot on cancellations in a business like this where trust is low!

Wow sounds an awful site! I do think a lot of sites are stuck in the 1990s - wake up and smell the coffee folks! Most people have a half-decent broadband connection now and those that don't probably aren't going to pay to download porn anyway - it just isn't worth it at the speeds you get on dial-up.

Welcome to the site! As the other reviewers stated I was a bit concerned when all the Cosplay reviews appeared at once but I did wonder if it was something like you said with a community of users joining at once - so it is good to see you coming back with a good detailed review of another site.
