Yes there are very few reviews on PU for me - I seem to have written half the gay ones! But I hope my contributions will be useful to somebody, and might encourage more gay people to join.
manholelover does some good reviews and has warned me off a couple of sites and introduced me to some new ones - sadly he's not around so much now but I try to keep in touch with him.
TBP are also good about doing a lot of gay reviews which is nice, though I wish they'd concentrate more on reviews of new sites instead of re-reviewing sites they've already done - sometimes several times. Still, I am grateful they do it at all.
There are also other "professional" review sites including ones devoted to gay porn only - it's interesting how much the scores vary between sites!
I still enjoy reading reviews here and taking part in the community, and the $550 I've won since joining has come in very handy too!

It is always so disappointing when you find a site which offers something rare that you're really into, only to find they've messed it up! Happens to me quite a bit - at least we have PU and some great contributors like yourself to warn us off them!

I don't really find I follow particular porn stars - the big studio porn that has "celebrity" porn stars rarely produce the kind of content I'm looking for.
I tend to use amateur sites and even when I do recognise the model, they often use different names on each site and then only an ordinary first name.
I just use whichever name they use on that site - but if I do particularly like a model I'll add a short note to the title, for example "David (Rob on [insert site name}".
It's not really that important as I always use large thumbnails for files so often you can see a picture of the guy - and I'll recognise his face without needing to know his stage name.

Somewhat yes - if a site looks incredible I'd join it anyway, but there's a few sites I have in mind which look pretty good but are on my "to join" list. A discount would mean I'd join that one before the others.

Nope - still have my old CRT TV which I am perfectly happy with so I'd see no benefit from a Blu-Ray player.
As they can play DVDs too and are pretty affordable now, when my current TV breaks I'll replace it with a HD one and get a Blu-Ray player to go with it, but I'm in no particular hurry to get one.

Outrageous! This is the thing I hate about the industry, they change stuff on you all the time.
You might have some recourse though - if the site users an independent biller, then complain to them - explain that when you joined the site it advertised itself as offering downloads and you joined on that basis. It is no longer offering what you paid for, and you want a refund.
It's worth a try, and thanks for letting us know about the problem as it alerts other users - if enough people protest and leave or stop joining, they may discover they can't treat their customers in this way.

Definitely - the price of a months subscription is a similar or even lower price than a single porno DVD, and you usually get a lot more content for your money.
This only refers to non-DRM download sites though - streaming sites are not such good value and pay-per-view sites usually work out more expensive than DVDs.

Totally agree with you BadMrFrosty - the sites are such poor value I'm amazed anyone uses them.
Maybe if they were very cheap they'd be a good way of previewing videos in full to decide whether to join a site or download an individual video.
However in reality they are so expensive I can only assume people who don't know about regular sites, or for some reason don't trust regular sites but do trust these, are their only customers.
DRM-free downloads all the way for me!

Do they use an independent biller? If so and you've already complained direct to the site and had no joy, contact them and say you want a refund based on the site not giving you what it promised. They often issue refunds in my experience.

Only if exceptional, because I like dirty talk and roleplay and language is important in that. I guess in standard porn it doesn't matter, but I prefer some dialogue so it would be an issue for me.

I wonder how they do this - I thought Japanese porn had to be censored by law? Perhaps it's okay to de-censor it outside the Japanese market? Perhaps this site isn't available in its uncensored form in Japan?
