I have to agree with pat362... whereas it's annoying when sites limit you to eg 2gb per day - stopping you even downloading just a few scenes in one go - bandwidth does cost the sites and 41GB is pretty generous.
Unless you were trying to download an entire site with eg a 3-day trial membership - which, to be fair, isn't really in the spirit of things - I can't imagine that being much of a restriction.
And if you can download >1TB of content for around $30, there's really not much of anything - porn or otherwise - that can compare in value :)

This looks appealing, and from the preview, it seems to cover my definition of nudity (ie all the relevant, er, bits on display) - even if not yours (not a stitch on) :)
Just thought it worth noting since you compared it to the Only sites, which AFAIK don't show much of anything - I see that as far more of a divide.

I just finished a year's sub at The Life Erotic - am just now pondering what combination of TLE and SexArt to subscribe to.
But while at TLE, I took a couple of trials (they were 2-day for existing members) and I had no problems downloading anything, or subsequently cancelling.
Further to the webmaster's reply here, I also found MetArt customer service to be responsive (very quick!) and helpful when asking about various subs options.

Like Parsnip, I don't necessarily have an issue with this. Like with file sizes on jpgs, bitrate doesn't necessarily define the quality; it also depends on the codec settings and the source material.
Not sure what it is on 1080, but the 720 videos I downloaded from SexArt and The Life Erotic are 2,000K and they look just fine - their style (whether you like it or not) is a little soft, which can contribute to the low bitrate rather than the other way around.
I did download 10,000K 720 videos from Twistys and it was a waste of space - I reencoded them at 4,000K with no discernable difference.

Looking forward to your TLE review - it's one of my favourite sites and the one I have a 1 year membership to. As you say, they often get the pictures right - make them genuinely erotic where Met Art (and SexArt on the photo side) fail.
BTW you may also like Babes - it's a little formulaic, but still not at all bad.

Great review and welcome. I've just spent a couple of days at this site - a trial for being a member at TLE - and found much the same as you. The only real difference being that I thought the early arty, body-painting ones etc were too daft; I prefer the more recent more ordinary ones.
But otherwise concur - this is good stuff, well made and respectful. Like you I'm not a fan of anal and don't really feel it belongs in (although others are free to disagree!) in this kind of heartcore site, so I'm glad they've not done it here.
And agree completely about the pics! I find Met Art pics entirely insipid and the one here are too - I don't know how they are so unerotic when the videos are so good.
I also like that that it's not wholly fixated on 18-21 year olds, but still I'd like to see a few more girls 25-30+. Not sure if this beats Joymii, my favourite sex site so far, but it is good.

Thanks for a great review. I'm a recent convert to this genre, but this has helped me priotitise this site a bit; much as I like creative photography and camerawork, it sounds like they've erred on the arty side a bit much here. Much as I enjoyed X Art, I'm a bit suspicious of any sites with Art in the name; it's good to add aesthetic value, but we're still here for porn!
Oh, and I'm glad it's not just me that recognises that, although beautiful, most of the 18-22 year old models need just a few more years before being genuinely sensual...

AS, thanks for testing the waters here and giving us such a good first review of this anticipated site. Although I find Met Art a bit bland, Sex Art appeals to me more - not specifically because of the extra explicitness, but because of the eroticism that I find MA lacks.
Sounds like it's worth waiting a little while for some more material - in particular, like you, I'd like to see a bit more boy-girl. Hardcore generally isn't my thing, but when it is, this is the sort of stuff I'd prefer - so meantime I may try Joymii, but Sex Art is definitely on the list.

Looks like it might actually have some eroticism, compared to Met Art - worth keeping an eye on. And glad to see Alexis Texas on there, although I'm not generally into mainstream hardcore material, I'm quite fond of her.
I note with some amusement that they are still going with the ludicrous set names of Met Art - eg Stalagmitis, Prothimo, Falos (no, really)...

Always good to hear your opinions, EP, thanks. I'll confess, I'm a bit of a lightweight when it comes to fetishwear - I like latex but don't go for the full encasements as much as you.
I actually quite like Forever Vamp and in theory Shiny Sluts is the kind of material I like - but looking at the limited preview, it does look a little lacking in atmosphere.
I'll reread your excellent reviews to see where else I might try, but in the meantime, although it's a different direction, I'm tempted by Alta Heels...

Thanks for a great review, tangub - I had noticed this site a couple of times and wondered what it was like.
I think you are right in that it is the same photographer as Breath Takers - Michael White (who also features in Met Art and Body In Mind, among others). I actually really like the style; the colours are natural, there is a good mix of models and usually some context which really works for me.
In this case it's good to know that it's on a par with Only Tease as to explicitness; I'd find this frustrating, and the schoolgirl theme doesn't really work for me either. At least though the theme justifies a separate site; I'm still baffled as to why Breath Takers, Girlfolio and Take5 Girls (back again) all run with overlaps in content...

Whereas I'm straight, and so only go for straight (assume girl-girl counts ;)) and mainly softcore porn, I've felt that gay porn fans are underrepresented here, so it's genuinely interesting to read a balanced take on sites that most of us wouldn't look at.

Heather, thanks for this review - SG is a site I've toyed with joining, being vaguely into this sort of thing (the second SG book is sitting on my shelf of racy material) - so it's good to know that it's possibly not worth it.
Have you joined God Girls, which is similar? I'm also tempted by Zivity, which is a similar community-type site, but seemingly a broader range of erotic photos rather than specifically alt girls.

If you take a browse around Breath Takers, you'll see the material is very similar. And it seems odd that there are no zips here, and the pic resolution is low, whereas there you get 4-5K pics in zip sets.
If you like the material itself, then I'd really recommend BT, you'll get a lot more than this site seems to offer so far. I'll resubscribe sometime but am likely to try Girlfolio first - again, a big overlap in style and models, but like here, the actual material is different.

If you are using Firefox, you may want to try installing DownThemAll, which can help with situations like this. Eg you can download all files that are linked to from a particular page, or (perhaps more useful in this case) download all files with sequential numbers. It may not work, but it's worth a try...

Another great review - and again, your views on the site are very similar to mine. Assume somebody's arse got kicked around the beginning of 2012, since material before then is largely generic and uninspired - if anyone joined before then, note that the last 2 years of material is completely different.
And Paul Black's material is certainly a standout - also Chris King and Oliver Nation. I do feel they could all be a bit less dark - there's atmospheric and there's not being able to see much - but it's only a minor thing. I also like Sebastien Michel - his pics are among the few inspiring ones at Met Art.
Have you tried Breath Takers and/or Girlfolio? (Same photographer at each). Quite soft, but I think you may like the style - I think I will subscribe to the latter next.

Girl-girl content here is very few and far between, so it sort of makes sense that they may source it elsewhere. Having said that, one recent set & video of Samantha Bentley was taken from Breath Takers.
But I think it's rare - the site's stile is artsy/sophisticated enough that we'd recognise if there were more sets elsewhere. And the standard is good so I don't really begrudge the odd borrowed set.

I agree that the shoots are often too subtly lit - I don't mind the atmosphere it brings - entirely different from eg Joymii which I also like but is very light - but some pics here are too dark even for my liking. Concur that Natasha Schon is the worst offender! She has some good pics and scenarios, but too often we can't see anything...
