This is an interesting cam site - gives the girls more options, and gives more opportunities for guys to have fun. I've seen popular cam girls get HUGE tips in the public area, so that's where they tend to stay. Other girls aren't as good at pulling those kind of tips in the public, so they tend to want to go private.
The interface is ugly as a crack ho on a bender and crashes every once in a while. But that might be a result of the huge amount of traffic on this site, which probably makes it difficult to keep up with the servers at time.

The reality is that there are many sites - Twisty's, Nubiles, ALS Scan, the Playboy sites, Karups are examples that come to mind = that treat their customers well and are responsive to issues that come up. Then there are others that just want your money and will rip you off or won't respond until you practically hit them in the head with a 2 by 4, and then give you attitude and lies about how they respond to all e-mails immediately and already gave you everything you deserve anyway. I find that, for the most part, with sites like this around it's actually easier to avoid the sleazebags and go with the class acts.

JD, you've got it so right! There's a schizo element between the classiness of their product - Mark Daughm is a DAMNED good photographer - and the sleaziness of their business practices. They may treat their models well, but they treat their customers like dog crap - they are full of bait-and-switch tactics, selling subscriptions to products - CD's, DVD's, books - that they then discontinue with no financial recompense. They were one of the first porn-related sites that I ever spent money on - and they made me regret it many times over - LOTS of incorrect charges to credit cards that I then had to spend time getting them to reverse with NEVER an apology.
I rate them among the worst - right "up" there with the people that run MyaDiamond.com and EveAngel.com - and I have found that the people that run Watch4Beauty.com are in the same league as well.

Crazy the damage that they did to themselves years ago when they broke the network up into separate pieces. They spent years building a Naughty America community, had a very active forum, used to do multiple live shows a day including a morning show that was really just promos for upcoming scenes at the site but was always very well attended - then they just killed the whole thing. People who had continuing memberships for years had those memberships ended at the end of their term and join one of the confusing new networks. All so they could reverse course and have 1 network with some bonus content you could access for an extra fee if you wanted to. Christian XXX, who worked there as a producer/director/agent/performer, etc for years threatened to tell the whole store to Holly Randall years ago, but he wound up deciding he would only tell it off screen. I don't know how good their new content is, but coincidentally I just joined for the first time in years today, mainly to check out my faves from the past.

Strange. I recommend emailing their support. I got a 1-month deal around Christmas or so and I have full access to everything, old and new, aside from their "extra" sites like "Tonight's GirlFriend"

It's the age-old story. There's ethical vendors and there are unethical vendors, whether it comes to porn, movie tickets or whatever. Once of the worst, most hypocritical companies to deal with porn-wise were the people who did Mystique Magazine, in all its various forms. They would offer these awesome deals, like "every DVD produced for a lifetime" and they'd discontinue their DVD production as soon as you paid, or they'd bill you for renewals after they'd promised no billing for renewals - and it was up to you to find the original offer and the original receipt to prove to them that they were ripping you off - at which they would - very grudgingly - refund you. Meanwhile at the same time that they acted like the biggest bunch of grifters business wise, they would promote their product as "the utmost in classy sophistication". Fucking weasels! The amazing thing is how much more ethical and above-board many porn businesses are than mainstream businesses such as airlines, or clearly movie ticket distributors and major credit card companies

Yeah, I hope people thinking of joining this site are aware of what they've done - changing a site where you had access to all content to one where you get access to "this month's new releases" with "Membership Upgrades Available Inside!" Whoo hoo! Who wouldn't want to join a site so you can get access to "Membership Upgrades" - complete crap!

I don't know who works as the "voice" of NA, but reading the forum, they come off as a complete asshole. Members - not just average people walking down the street, but members of the site that are trying to nail down how this whole thing will work are told - and I quote, "Everything will be constant flux. With your membership you will have options to make purchases as they become available."
When you click on a video on the site before joining, their big "sell" line is, "Get Access to Select Full Videos and Upgrades"
Ooh, boy, nothing like joining a site to get access to "select" full videos and upgrades.
I wouldn't join this site now on a bet!

It's kind of odd that NA is going in this direction when other sites are going in the opposite - Karups, Hard X/Lesbian X etc, Teen Fidelity/Porn Fidelity - all making the related network's sites available for one price.
My suggestion - give it a year. I would bet $5 - I know, I've never been a big better - that they'll go back to their previous all-inclusive model within one year - or lower their prices for the individual sites so that all combined they equal what the unified site used to be.

I don't think you even have to join NA Live separately. A lot of sites are doing this as a way to make more money. Rather than have their customers go off to a cam site and spend money there, they connect to the cam site directly under their own name - NA Live, Met Live, etc - and you can just go spend like a demon and the site gets a piece.

They've been cutting back on the time of the live shows for quite some time. Laura left NA and Lauren took over a lot of her responsibilities, so she didn't have time to spend 1/2 a day doing "Live With Lauren", and then the porn stars they had scheduled for the live shows were getting more and more flaky so they had to spend a lot of time virtually every day getting last minute fill-ins, etc, etc.

One thing to pay attention to - this offer is for the first month only - after that your subscription would continue for the full regular price.
I've got to say that NA burned me in my last subscription with them. I had an initial price deal and when I went to cancel I got one of those "would you like to continue at a reduced price?" offers. I accepted, never got a confirming e-mail - which is usual - then I was charged a higher price and they denied the offer had been made.
I told them "OK - you got me - and now I'm done subscribing to your site"

Yeah - NA is unique for the sheer goofy fun that they have - it's not about stunts for them, it's about "this will be a cool thing to do - we'll have fun", whether it's bacon lollipops or sharing dog biscuits with porn stars or buying a hula chair for everyone to ride.
That kind of relaxed atmosphere really helps the Live Shows, because you see some absolutely blisteringly hot show because of it - Cassidey was amazing when she was there, Madison Ivy was incredible, Kacey Jordan was wonderful the other day, etc

In the "Why I absolutely LOOOOVE Lauren at NA" category - I've got quite a crush on her - check out the archives of her interview with Sunny Leone (if you can bear to look at Sunny's fake boobs) from 12/02/09 where Lauren goes on a huge fashion rant about how great Sunny's clothes are and how anybody that doesn't like the outfit is a stupid fucking ug-boot lover - ha ha - hilarious - just beautiful!

Lauren says what Lauren thinks. To expect Lauren to say what you want her to say, well that's not very fair. If you want to do Live With Messner, you should say what you think about fake boobs.
Lauren's also interviewing porn babes and I think she wants to pump them up - when she's not showing off how much smarter she is than they are - lol - she likes to kind of torture them a bit that way.
Does NA promote the whole big-boobed thing? Yeah, they do. Could they go against the grain and say "We're sick of fake boobs and we're not having porn babes with fake boobs on our site?" I suppose, but I doubt that they would be as commercially successful a site.
I've heard Lauren express pro-natural-boob sentiments when she's reviewing scenes, but she's probably as conflicted as I am - I like natural boobs - but confronted with a babe who looks smoking hot with enhanced ones, I'm gonna tell her that she looks fantastic and I'll definitely want my hands and mouth on them. I love Lauren's delight when she gets to get her hands on nice boobs - like a little girl that just got a ride on a pony.

Whether or not there are NA staff here, there are people in this forum that are VERY active NA members - at many/most of the live shows, active in the forum, etc. I've had people make comments to me - helpful ones - in NA live shows based on comments that I have made in this forum.
So it may be a case of a comment "dropping off" that forum and reappearing, or it may be a case of a helpful NA/PU member e-mailing an NA mod and saying, "you know, it might be a cooler thing to do to just let that comment stay".
I dunno, but it's a possibility.
NA's a site that deserves the positivity, in my opinion. They are trying to have a very good site, they are very good to their members in many ways, such as hiring active members' faves to do live shows on their birthday.
But sites that are cool sites are going to stumble too - just like people who are cool are likely to fuck up once in a while. That's just human beings, you know?

Excellent review - and I completely agree with you about the live shows being worth spending time talking about - including Live With Lauren. I assume that most of the regulars there are watching from their jobs. I only get a chance to see it if I'm home sick of something. I've got a wicked crush on Lauren - both for her looks and her personality.
She's actually directed a number of scenes, in addition to playing other bts and administrative roles, so it's much more interesting to have her in that position than it would be if they had just hired someone new to be the host - all of the NA staffers, including the live show mods, motorboatme and Sandy and quite cool people, from what I've seen.

I've been enjoying my Naughty America membership - as much for the live shows as anything else. I checked out the speed issue with mixed results.
I tried downloading the new Anna Marie Rios vid - didn't work at all - errored out. I tried downloading the Charmane Star vid that was released yesterday - not using a download manager, it's coming through at 515-525 kb/sec. I can't complain about that.
