Lots of options for downloading or streaming vids, including the ability to download in pieces for people with slower connections or smaller hard drives
Three sizes for the pics - 800, 1200 & 2000 px - and you can download a zip in one click
The babes are awesome - mainly Euro babes with sumptuous bods & natural boobs - rare is the update that doesn't make me happy
The navigation is simple and snappy - models are listed by first name, so it's easy to click on a letter and see a bunch of babes to choose from - and they don't do endless updates of just a handful of models, so there are a lot to choose from.
They don't photo-shop the girls to hell. You feel like you're looking at hot women and not just some display of some goober's photo-shop expertise. |

This is a solo-girl site. You're not going to get sets of girl/girl stuff or boy/girl stuff.
A bit formulaic. Looking at the main "What's New" page, I wouldn't be surprised if a large number of their sets were shot at different areas outside at the same basic location - you get the girl teasing in sexy outfits, then stripping, then masturbating with fingers and then toys.
You're not going to check in one day and see a sexy babe in a bondage outfit or something else crazy and surprising

The real test of a site for me is "Do I like what I'm getting? Are the babes hot? Do the pics and vids look good? Do I enjoy the material? Do I want to go back the next day and see their new stuff?"
For me, this site passes that test on an ongoing basis. I really like seeing hot Euro-babes in brightyly colored bras & panties and flouncy little skirts outside with the sun behind them so that their sexy natural bods are shown to their best advantage - just showing off their sumptuous bods and teasing, then putting on a masturbation show with fruit or toys - and there's not some guy talking over it and there's not some annoying music. You can hear the birds or whatever incidental sounds from the wind.
And that's what they do. Is it formulaic and repetitive? I suppose. But I like this stuff. The babes are hot and they don't fuck it up by getting hot babes and then photo-shopping the pics so you can't even see them for all the crap they do to them - take a clue, Twisty's!
The vids are hot and fun to watch and look good full-screen. They're not HD and they don't lie and say that they're HD. They could go HD and that would certainly be nice, but they really don't need to. They look good now, and that's what counts. |

I rejoined recently after another member (Exotics?) raved about it and while there is less fisting, etc, overall I find the site much more exciting than when I had joined a year or so ago - just the overall quality of the models and the presentation is more my tastes these days - and I can find all the hot intense fisting I want over at ALS Scan - their recent vid of Amy Lee fisting Kacey Jordan is the absolute hottest fisting vid I've ever seen. Good review - their oh-so-specific niche does get boring to me, but there's no denying the quality of their work - and the choices of pricing are a good thing in their clarity of what you're getting for what price and letting people choose from there. One of my favorite videos on the whole site was one where they just got Cindy Starfall talking. She's got such an interesting story and has such a great personality that it was really enjoyable, even if not the most sexual video on the site. I'd love it if they did more of that kind of thing.

I suppose it could turn into a problem for them. On the other hand, I've seen ALS Scan post similarly blunt assessments of scenes, or shoots, or particular models with no blow-back that I'm aware of.

Well-done review, as usual.
My big con in regard to this site - too damned specific - the "now we're going to do a scene devoted to the puckering of her asshole" stuff just does away with any element of surprise and adventure that, to me, is what eroticism is all about.
It's the same issue that I have with Kink.com.
It's very subjective, because there are certainly sites I like that are predictable and usually rather repetitive, but they have enough variety within that repetition and predictability that they don't kill the eroticism, and despite the high quality of this site, for my tastes, they just do - way too much of the time.
It's why I like the tendencies of ALS Scan to try different things - like a bit of b/g (I haven't liked it on their site) or fem-dom (I fucking love the fem-dom stuff on their site!). Even when they don't succeed, it's clear they're trying to get somewhere new. The specificity of sites like In The Crack and the Kink.com sites mean that they'll NEVER get anywhere that they didn't specifically plot out to begin with.

I just joined for my first time and like williamj, I'm getting very fast download speeds. I'm a Comcast.net customer and Comcast must have something that controls download speeds because 525 kb/sec is as fast as I can go - the downloads from In The Crack start at approx 670 kb/sec and get reined in back to that max speed - and stay there - they don't decrease or slow down unless I'm doing multiple downloads from various sites.

As you say, a lot of factors affect download speed. I've had conversations about this with Alex of ALS Scan, because they are very proud of their work to have the fastest download speeds available, while I, with a cable connection that tests very fast, often experience download speeds of 200 kbs/sec with ALS Scan, not impressive at all.
My ISP is Comcast, and I understand that Comcast itself sometimes slows down downloads.

I've been a member, though not for a while. I don't know what the wait time is, but if you look through the updates, it's not unusual to find vids being posted referred to as a Member-Requested video, especially the kinkiest ones that they post.

Are you talking about the photosets? It's really not that way with Japanese gravure photosets. They're more a random collection of photos than a progression like people are used to with US or European photosets. There will be a number of clothed shots, then some nude, then semi-nude, then clothed, then nude, etc.
If you're looking for a progression as you describe, you might be disappointed. The Japanese stuff is just different.

A correction - It isn't Videosz that has Asianatrix, it's Porn.com
Porn.com has the 2 Asianatrix (well, the 2 that count - there was a 1st one that was pretty much bondage/fetish only) and the 2nd Asian Noir, which is not at Videobox.
All of these DVD's are recommended for people who are looking for Asian porn that is non-standard - whether you'll like them or not, I have no idea, but they're pretty quirky - Asianatrix has all kind of stuff of personality transference and other metaphysical themes.

It's no great revelation to say that porn is formulaic.
I was sorry to see that one of my favorite US-based Asian porn auteurs, David Aaron Clark, passed away at the end of November.
If you want to see Asian porn that is much less formulaic than most, check out his Asian Noir DVD's (I think that Videobox has some of that material) or Asianatrix (Videosz has that, I'm pretty sure)
His newest one, Pure, which came out just before his death from a pulmonary embolism, is supposed to be very good - it's a porn version of the story that inspired Nagisa Oshima's excellent In The Realm Of The Senses in the 70's
But Japanese porn has different qualities than US porn - I like the long extended groping scenes in Japanese porn. I like the relentless vibrator attacks. I LOVE the dancing scenes. I LOOOOOOVE the Oil Dancing scenes. I think Asian women are really freaking hot and I like the cosplay and the extended tease in Japanese porn - they get the eroticism of wardrobe more in Japanese porn than in most US porn.
And the Graphis and other photography posted at JSexNetwork is much more erotic than the stuff at The Black Alley or most of the other asian-centric sites that I've looked at.

Interesting perspective. I've found this site to be among the more varied of the Japanese adult vid sites, given that they have the softcore photo sets and vids as well as the most popular censored adult vids as well as the uncensored stuff.
There are a number of sites that I've seen around that post their stuff in scenes. That seems more like a ripoff to me than a site that posts the entire vids, but then I've never been downloading enough stuff to breach their download limits.
As far as download managers, it was a very helpful customer service guy at this site that first encouraged me to use a download manager when I was having slow downloads.

Yes, this site has the widest range of Japanese adult material, pics and vids, presented in the highest quality way, of any site that I've run across - actionjav.com comes in 2nd - their advantage is very consisted 5 dvd/day updates, while jsexnetwork is more quirky in their updates - and actionjav.com has no uncensored vids.

I've got to follow up and compliment the Support at J Sex Network for helping me solve this problem. They had me run a trace on my connections and e-mail them so they could examine that, then they suggested a free download manager/accelerator - Getright.com - that has me downloading at a speed of 516 kb/sec

This is a site that presents itself as presenting the full range of authentic Japanese porn. This is a site that allows non-members to view lots of samples and read lots of descriptions of the material (much more than most other sites of any category) in order to get a good idea of what to expect before they join. If you didn't read the descriptions available and didn't acquaint yourself with the standards of authentic Japanese porn, that's not the fault of the site - that's your fault. A good read of the descriptions where they describe the minority of the vids being presented as being "uncensored" ought to let a potential new member understand that the vids being presented that are not described as "uncensored" are, in fact, censored. That's the way it is with authentic Japanese porn, which is what this site is all about.
I'm glad to hear that their tech support is helping you with the log-in issues. I found this site to be excellent when I was a member - very high quality material in this site.
