There's a number of sites - including EvilAngel.com, which I'm obviously a big fan of - where certain file types on various vids have errors - I just download another file type. These days, the number of files that are high quality are such that I don't find it makes that much of a difference.

Yes, I had this problem 4-6 weeks ago. I tried logging in, I got the "your membership has expired message", I called the C/S line, I was told, "The site's down, your membership hasn't expired. The site will be back up in a few hours." I tried logging in the next day, got the same message, got the same information when I called the C/S line. I tried logging in later that day, after the point that I was assured that the site would be back up, I got the same message at the site, I called the C/S line and that person got me back into the site, let me know the date that my membership really did expire and asked me if I wanted to renew it right then. I said, "Thanks but no thanks" and went on my merry way.

When I have joined in the past, I received a confirmation from Epoch that had all the information that I needed to just click the link for their website, provide the information they requested and cancel the sub. They also offered an opportunity to continue membership at a low price as an alternative to cancelling.

FameDigital has gone all the way around the world in terms of their C/S, from my perspective. When they first started taking care of a number of sites, they were doing a lot of shady practices - pre-checked offers in weird places, lack of confirmation e-mails, confusing prices, etc.
I guess they didn't get very good reactions to that kind of stuff, because in my experience they really cleaned up their act and I have had no problems with joining or cancelling any of their sites for quite a while.
You do have to read the details of these recent $5 offers, though.
Some of them are offers for $5 for 3 days, some are offers for $5 for a week, some are offers for $5 for 2 weeks and some are offers for $5 for a month. None of them are recurring offers, so the penalty for mis-understanding and getting billed their "normal" price at the end of the trial periods can be steep.

That's a ridiculous interpretation of a very direct question.
Basically you're telling me that this was a bait-and-switch offer.
I also had a phone conversation with one of your C/S people, since the "confirmation" that I received was also confusing - as I described in my original post. And he told me in no uncertain terms that there was no monthly charge.
What you've been saying is 100% the opposite of what I was told both in e-mail and on the phone - now you're telling me to contact the same C/S that I already contacted by e-mail and by phone - who told me 100% the opposite of what you're telling me - pathetic!

There have been offers in the past made to current ALS Scan members to subsribe to ALS Angels for an additional $10/month. That was prior to ALS Scan's integration into the MetArt Network, so I don't know if that offer will be repeated.

I played around some more, tried the site with Firefox using a download accelerator. I'm having a much more satisfactory result. It's weird because I had been getting the fastest download speeds with IE in the past.

That scene that was part of the charges against Stagliano is one of my favorite EA scenes ever - fall-down funny, sexy, crazy, an incredible turn-on, all at the same time.
That doesn't make me want to look for more milk enema material, but that particular scene is truly amazing!
I agree with the praise for this site. They do a lot of great work - and have a fair amount that I'm not interested in at all.

I had a crappy experience with the "trial" for this site - basically you can only see the same thing with their trial as you can with free previews - not anything that made me want to join the site.
But I got a month's membership to their "channel" at Videobox and really liked the content that I had access to.

Actually, I think the real issue with this site being given such a high rating is the paucity of updates as compared to other Japanese adult vid sites.
AsiaMoviePass, jsexnework, actionjav.com (when it's updating), all update multiple entire DVD's per day. You can get AsiaMoviePass for $9.95 a month. Why rate a site highly that only posts some scenes in a DVD per day?
I don't get it.
There are numerous much better Japanese porn sites than this one.
