I've got a bait-and-switch complaint about this site. When I joined, they said - on the confirmation of my joining - that "for the life of my membership", I could get 40% discount on all of their related sites, including Watch 4 Beauty. Then a couple of months later, Watch 4 Beauty, decided to include this site in their membership and withdrew the discount. I e-mailed them about this - several times - and received absolutely no response.
They've got some very juicy content, but I refuse to spend any more money on sites that not only have questionable business practices, but don't even have the courtesy to respond to e-mails from their members.
Thanks for the reminder to continue to stay away from this site, appealing though a few of their models are for me. I was a member several years ago, wasn't very satisfied with the content at all.
1) Alex isn't gay. He's married, has a couple of kids. I got the same impression that you had from his voice originally, but this is the story. He doen't think his voice is all that good either, but talks to get the most out of the models and the best shoots. For my tastes, he achieves that.
2) Their vid releases are clearly labeled as to whether they are photoshoots or not. The ones that are not only have Alex talking for a few seconds at the beginning at most - maybe he'll say "Hi" to the model and get her to tell us what she's going to do in the vid. Many of them, if the model is confident enough to talk to the camera, especially, he won't even do that. Looking at the last 10 vid releases, 60% have been non-photo shoot vids, so the amount of talking that Alex would have been doing in those would have been slim or none.
Alex's stated view is that he does the photoshoot vids more so that people can see what goes on in a real photoshoot than as stroke material. He's into that "educational" role of the site. One of my very favorite bonuses in the past year was a huge vid package showing a shoot in Czech from the time the crew woke up in the morning until they went back to their hotel at night. Given that the crew included Nella and Amber Rayne, both of whom were hotter than the models in the shoots, I was thoroughly entertained.
I love dirty-talking by babes that know how to do it. Courtney Simpson's scenes at ALS Scan are great examples of a sexy woman that really knows how to pour it on and really seems to be having a good time doing it.
On the other hand (and there's always an other hand), if the model doesn't do it well, it's better for her to be quiet.
Speaking of Nubiles, I just re-joined and was watching a great vid of a new model, Melissa, who said absolutely nothing during the vid.
I was actually glad, because one thing that I dislike about their vids is the interviews, which I have found to be consistently lame.
Looks matter, a little (SexyBabes.TV is an example of a site that looks a LOT better after it's re-design), but my very favorite site, ALS Scan, has been criticized by many review sites for having an old-looking design and I can't think of when I gave it a moment's notice when I've been on the site. The links work, the material is fantastic, for my tastes, so once I get there I'm delving into the material and paying absolutely NO attention to the design of the site itself.
To their credit, they've put a LOT of work into upgrading the site, but it has ALL been about providing better quality pics and vids and upgrading their servers so that they could make vids available permanently, and now they're working on a project to put their vids and pics of a model together to improve navigation and they haven't spent their time making their overall site more attractive to those that find it old or ugly.
I wouldn't have them spend their time any differently than they have, personally.
On the other hand, MiaDiamond.com has had redesigns to the site at the same time that they continued to only pretend that they were a live site, harvesting their oldest material to re-post as "new" updates. That just sucks! I don't care how attractive the design of the site is, it sucks!
No doubt about the value - multiple photo-sets every single day mean that there's always something exciting that I haven't seen before - their archives are deep, deep, deep.
Add the vids (which I'm mainly NOT a fan of) and the cam shows, which sometimes have smoking hot models, and you've got one helluva site.
I honestly can't think of another site that gives their members more high quality material on a regular basis.
4 factors are probably what determine for me whether I'm interested
1) How hot the models look
2) The amount the site updates - cause a dead site is a dead site, regardless of whether or not they have hot models - or did when they were a live site
3) Photo sample size and quality - I'm more a pics guy than a vids guy. So the site should excite me with their sample pics
4) Price - how much does it cost? I'm really not that interested in paying more than $20/month US, though I'm willing to join an exciting site for a multi-month period to get to that price.
Give me all 4 above, hot models on a site that updates regularly (at least several times a week, though I prefer daily) with great pics at a good price - I'll happily join.
Man, I loved that Susana Spears body painting stuff - what a gorgeous woman! It was great to see her having such a good time, since she's usually shown as being quite somber.
I think Bela responded emotionally to her site being compared unfavorably to a major competitor.
The reality is that new forum members are going to come in and talk first about their fave sites - at least that's what I did when I joined.
Bela's got a right to be proud of her site. I'm more a pics than vids guy and DDF pics are just awesome. The vids vary in quality, but at 2 vids per day, there are certainly a whole lot of good ones being added.
Overall, I think this whole discussion has been a good one at addressing a lot of issues that are common to this site.
Davi, you did a good job at keeping your cool and arguing for your positions - good move. Welcome to the forum - it ain't boring, at least.
Yeah, it gets worse and worse. Everytime I take a look at that site, they chop off more from the beginning of the life of the site so they can just tack it on at the end as "new" content. They don't even have the honesty to show that it's a dead site - the people who run that site are disgustingly dishonest.
Since this is a site that continues to excite me more than many, I have to contest the "don't care" allegation.
a) Their stuff is exclusive and that's worth something
b) The production staff has a unique attitude that comes out in their stuff - an affection for a certain grittiness that cuts against the glamour and makes them different from the cookie-cutter character of Twisty's, for example
c) Yeah, they could edit the sets they post and pull out a bunch where the color went off, but these are usually a small number of pics in large updates of 100 pics or more, so for me it's hard to complain about that
d) When they hit it right on, they do astounding work and have done some of the best sets of Annetta Keys, Monika Vesela, Andi Valentino, Jade Hsu (including wonderful recent sets), and others.
e) Their navigation - it's weird and not particularly user-friendly. Sometimes the photosets are on a separate page from their vids, sometimes (as with Mari Possa, one of my faves) the photosets are connected to the vids.
The price - I wouldn't have stayed if I were stuck with their original membership price, even with everything I said above. Their "please don't leave" price when I was going to has kept me around.
Lack of recent updates - this concerns me. After being as consistent as one could hope for, they haven't updated at all since 12/24. One would think that any professional site would have auto-updating set up before they went on vacation or would post a note on their home page about their update plans.
Other sites are being weird about this too, at present, which I find frustrating and avoidable, given the auto-update and clear communication options they could have gone with.
Considering that such a large % of porn afficianados consider price as a significant factor in whether to join a site, I vote "No".
Price matters. A forum member made a point to me about Babes.TV that he thought $20/month was too high for a site that wasn't part of a network.
Since users are considering price/value in their estimation of a site's overall worth, I think that it would be better if TBP did as well.
Should a site that costs $34.95/month be scored identically as it would if it cost $20/month? I don't think so. The relatively high cost is a "Con" in my book and would definitely lower a score that I gave that site.
This is one of those sites that I found gave me a better deal when I was going to cancel. The price that they offered when I was going to cancel has kept me a happy member since - 6 very good to excellent exclusive updates a week are pretty sweet with a site that has content that is as honed to my tastes as this site is.
A lack of amateurs would be a negative if the site were promoting itself as being an amateur site, but this site promotes itself as having the hottest pro models, which it does indeed have.
The actual language on the home page of the site is: "I savagely sodomize the girls I find! These innocent angels get throat-fucked, ass-drilled and fucked beyond recognition because it's what YOU want, because they DESERVE it and I just need to do it."

Other cons for this site, or group of sites, besides the ones you mentioned - and I've been a member for quite a while of Phil-Flash's site:
1) Vanishing content - whole sections of Phil's site have disappeared - the Tiffany/Kelly stuff most recently and the Jannah Burnham stuff before that
2) Customer Support lacking/surly - the attitude is that they're doing you a favor by existing and members are basically looked down on as being trolls or something - I've repeatedly asked in a respectful way about what happened to the Jannah Burnham content and been shined on repeatedly. Other requests/issues over time have met with similar responses.
3) cam show screens shrunk considerably months ago - you need a fucking magnifying glass to get a lot of enjoyment out of the cam show screens being presented these days - I've given up going to them live - download the archives if I'm interested. But it sucks to see sites go to lower quality cam shows - especially if the site touts cam shows as one of their prime attractions.
Why stay? There's still a lot of hot content. I was about to leave right before they added the other sites as part of the same membership price. That was enough to keep me around a bit longer.
Actually, what you're more likely to get with an amateur guy is the deer-in-the-headlights expression on his face, a hard time getting it up at all with the camera on, the porn babe having to do ALL the work and then him shooting in about 1 1/2 minutes after he manages to finally get his thing to work.
I doubt if many professional sites want to go for that experience very often, so they get the pro guys and make sure they've popped a viagra at the right time - boring, it's true, but less boring than the alternative.

When I first went to adult theaters, it seemed like 2 requirements for every feature were:
1) a little girl scene - frequently incest-themed and
2) a rape scene - and not a "she really wanted it but played like she didn't" scene either
