I don't know a single PU member that has written they like the Metart videos. I guess it's a mental thing, but the videos at most softcore sites are really boring, no matter how attractive the models might be.
I've joined Metart a couple of times for the 1-year membership. But most of my memberships were for 1 month.

Pros: -The finest softcore teen glamor site on the Internet.
-A huge amount of photosets, number of individual models, number of contributing photographers.
-Easy login.
-Long time before site timeout.
-No DRM.
-No download limits.
-I use DownThemAll download manager, which works at this site.
-Fast download speeds. I normally get 1.3 MB/sec, which is my maximum download speed.
-CCBill billing agent, which is one of the best credit card processors around.
-Search engine to allow you to search for models or photosets or photographers that you might like.
-Wide range of locations for the videos and photosets. In studios or houses, in fields, forests, at lakes or oceans or beach, they pose their lovely models to best advantage to show off these beauties.
Cons: -The cons are basically minor. This is without a doubt the finest softcore teen glamor site on the Internet.
-The sheer size of the site (number of photosets, number of models, number of videos) appears to turn some people off. Instead of appreciating the massive amount of content, many people seem to
think the site has too many photosets to go through, and that, because there are so many gorgeous gils, that the models themselves are not as attractive as they really are.
-Metart has a patent on filming gorgeous naked teens and making the videos boring and a waste of time to watch. This is something I've wondered about for years: It's just a wasted opportunity of attractive models.
-The site will disappoint those looking for midcore or hardcore action. This is strictly a softcore site. No boys are in any photosets. If there are two girls in a photoset or video, their interaction is extremely softcore. No masturbation or fondling of the other girl.
Bottom Line: As I've stated many time in the past, this is the finest softcore teen glamor site on the Internet.
There is an amazing amount of content. The site updates with 4 to 6 updates daily, which is just amazing for a single site.

Site statistics:
Number of photosets: 12,534
Number of videos: 1,045 Movies
Number of models: 2,766 Models
Number of contributing photographers: 250
Number of photos: 1,365,839
Those are staggering numbers, that blow past any softcore teen glamor site that I'm aware of.

Metart is the giant in the field, not just in terms of quantity, but also quality. Since it's start back in the late 1990s, Metart has featured high-quality teen softcore photography from leading photographers around the world.

The photosets are offered in three sizes for both online viewing and for download:
Low definition, medium definition, high definition.

The videos can be streamed or downloaded in three definitions as well: low, medium and high.

Metart was the site I picked for my first review for PU in 2008. At that time I gave the site a score of 97. That turned out to be the highest score I've ever given to any site. Since that time, the site has only increased the number of models and photosets and photographers. I think the review I did about 4 years ago is still basically accurate today.

One difference is that the Metart live shows/live chat have changed. Metart used to offer an in-
house live chat that featured a number of girls that were live each day for a number of hours
daily. The public shows were basically free. True, you could pay for a private show, or you could tip a girl during her public show. But it was basically a free source of entertainment, and the girls were friendly, and the shows were not designed to maximize the amount of money the members would pay to watch the show. That seems almost quaint today. Most live shows I've seen recently try to get the members to pay to watch the girls perform.

Metart no longer has the in-house live chat shows. Instead, they offer a link to a commercial live chat program designed to make money off the members. I believe it's cheaper to go to a topless bar than to watch a private live cam show.

Lately, the site seems to have loosened their rules, and allow two girls to kiss in a photoset or video, but the kisses are almost chaste. The sample video in the preview pages gives a false impression the site has erotic videos. It's true the videos inside are of naked girls, and many of the models are attractive. But I can't emphasize enough how boring these videos are.

I complain about the boring videos. But because of the massive photoset content, the high quality of the photos, the number of photographers that contribute to this site, the site deserves its reputation as best in breed of teen softcore glamor sites. I gave the site a score of 97 about 4 years ago, and the site has only improved since then, adding more content, trying to make using the site easier to use over time, changing the default filenaming system to make the filenames more descriptive, and in other ways they try to make the site more user-friendly.

I am giving the site a score of 99.

How could they improve this site, to give it a perfect 100?

That would be a fantasy project:
1. They could delete almost all their
videos, and hire whoever shoots the videos at X-Art or the Diesel Access network. But that would mean a change in the Met-art philosophy, which stresses softcore porn.

2. They could send their models over to my house, where I could tell if their models are really as attracive as they look. At my age (I'm in my 60s), I couldn't do that much with these girls, but it sure would be nice to try. But that might be illegal. So maybe they could hire me as a stunt cock. Again, that would mean a change in their softcore approach. But maybe they could start a "Metart meets an aging fan reality show", because reality shows are very popular today.

Unfortunately, that's only in my dreams.

For $20/month with a PU discount, this site is a fantastic bargain. Or $99/year, which is an even better deal if you join the site for a month and believe the site is worth a long term membership. I think the site is like a museum of Most Erotic Teens, which I believe is the former name of the site, from which they changed it to MET-Art. For a softcore teen site, this is truly the best in show.

I'm wondering how many other sites have options to make the sites easier to use. I guess I'm just lazy, because I log in to most sites, and don't bother to test any ways there might be to make the site more user-friendly.

But I'm glad I found the Metart link that changes measurements from metric to English.

Metart options.

I've been a member of Metart for many years, off and on. But I just realized you can set some options on how the site is displayed.

You can show measurements in metric or imperial.
Imperial is the British system of measurements: Feet and inches for length, pounds for weight.

Although they have taught the metric system in the United States for many years, I still have to translate metric to the British system, because I grew up with feet-inches and pounds, and metric measurements just aren't natural for me; I have to translate them to feet-inches and pounds to understand what they mean.

This is a simple thing, really. But it makes the Metart site easier to use.

Also, you can select the language the site is displayed:
Deutsch (which is German, I assume)
English
Espanol (Spanish)
Nederlands
Chinese? (I'm guessing, it's some kind of oriental language)
Japanese? (I'm guessing, it's some kind of oriental language)
? (Some other oriental language

So I guess that Metart truly is an international site, promoting softcore porn throughout the world.

Regarding "Surely you can roughly work out the models age from the time it was first published?"

My mind is focused on enjoying these natural beauties.

Taking the current age of the model, then subtracting the number of years the photoset was published to get the model's approximate age at the time of the photoshoot, somehow interferes with that enjoyment. If my mind could perform these calculations automatically, that would be different. But I have to think about the different dates to calculate, and why should I have to?

In that case, it's easier to ignore the exact age of the model, both current and at the time of the photoshoot.

I'm talking about my personal psychology. Someone else could easily have a different point of view.

I'm a bit older than you are. So if I'm still around in 20 years time, I might be thinking these 40+ year old models are looking damn fine. That's if I can still see and think in my 80s. :)

Metart model age.

Depending on where you look on the Metart site, you can find the current age of the model, and also the age of the model at the time of each photoshoot.

When you download a zip file of a photoshoot, you get a text file of the model's bio included. That text file bio lists the current age of the model, instead of her age at the time of the photoshoot.

It would be better for the downloaded text file included with each photoshoot to give the age of the model at the time when the photoshoot was shot, instead of her current age.

From the net:

Wilmington, Delaware experienced the loss of many jobs after World War II, mostly due to it becoming less utilized as a shipping location. To address this matter, the state legislators sought a way to bring new business into the state, starting in the late 1970s. Led primarily by the Governor Pierre DuPont, in the early 1980s, Delaware attempted to lure large banks away from New York and other large financial companies by dramatically redrafting tax laws for banking industries. Laws also changed to allow banks to charge any interest they wished on credit cards.

Several banks, among them Bank of America and Chase, were inspired by Wilmington’s flexible laws to relocate at least their credit card companies to Wilmington. The ability to charge more interest meant that they could offer credit to less credit-worthy customers. Though big banks moved their credit card companies, the response was even greater than DuPont at first estimated. Many smaller banks also set up shop in Wilmington, to take advantage of being able to charge much higher interest rates, while paying lower taxes on their profits.

Since the enactment of liberal interest rate laws and low taxes, Wilmington has become one of the most attractive cities in the US to set up credit card companies. Other states and cities may have caps on interest charged, and in fact the US congress has even attempted to create lower interest rates, and cap fees and interest. This strategy has not worked, and Congress’ response was lukewarm at best, placing the interest cap at no more than 30%.

In 1988, laws in Delaware protecting credit card companies were made even stronger. During a period where hostile takeovers were becoming standard, Delaware changed its laws to make sure that most Delaware companies would not be subject to this process. The new laws meant any one attempting to take over a company would have to own 85% of its stock, or with a majority of stock holding would have to wait three years before initiating takeover proceedings. Companies stationed in Delaware were thus better protected than in other states, strengthening the position of any bank or credit card companies that created their charters within the state.

Today, there are several major credit card companies stationed in Wilmington. These include Bank of America, Chase, Barclays (which used to be Juniper), and ING Direct. A number of smaller credit card companies also have their home base in Delaware. What this means for the consumer, especially if you’re sifting through a lot of credit card offers, is that you’ll find numerous ones coming from Delaware. You may pay higher interest rates, especially if your credit is not solid. With the luxury of good credit, you may want to shop around for the best credit card offers, especially those from states with laws less likely to favor the credit card industry.

Thanks for the explanation.

I think you gave some convincing arguments for the legal and financial reasons for being headquartered in the U.S.

I dimly remember that years ago, credit card companies and other corporations would be incorporated in Delaware (in the US), for financial and legal reasons, because Delaware had laws more favorable to business than most other states. Even though those corporations did little business in Delaware.

Useful facts about Met-Art.

From Wikipedia:

1. MET-Art (originally Most Erotic Teens) is a softcore pornography website owned by HLP General Partners Incorporated of Santa Monica, California. The site features erotic photographs of partially or completely naked women, and has been online since circa 1999.

2. Not to be confused with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

But much easier to visit than the New York City museum. And the price to visit the online site is much cheaper.

3. Headquarters: Santa Monica, California
Parent HLP General Partners, INC

It surprises me that the headquarters are in Santa Monica, California.
Almost all the models used in the early years of Met-Art were Eastern European girls.
And the photographers were mainly from Europe, as well.

Most of the models are still from Eastern Europe.
And most of the photographers are still from Europe.

What I want to really know:
If I drive down to Santa Monica, California, how many of the Met-Art girls will I be able to meet?

My guess is: Zero to none, since the site uses very few models from the United States, and almost all the photoshoots are done in Europe.

Can anyone explain to me the benefit of having a headquarters in Santa Monica, California? Versus some place in Europe. I can understand not locating in Russia or some area around there, because the authorities might turn against porn and shut the operation down or force it to move. The same thing happened with Abby Winters in Australia, I think, which is why Abby Winters moved from Australia to Europe.

I completely agree with you. You want to know the age of the model at the time of the shoot.

The truth is, at a lot of sites, there is no attempt to be accurate about the model's age. They give the model's age as 18 or 19, even when many of the models are at least in their early 20s. Because they know the customers want the models to be teenagers, which means 18 or 19.

But Metart seems to be an exception to that rule. They do try to give the model's real age. But I believe it's just a software problem that they are giving the current age of the model on the bio sheet that is downloaded with each photoshoot.

On the Metart site itself, it clearly states that the age shown is the current age of the model (not the downloaded bio sheet, but the online bio sheet).

So it's just a software programming error.

Years ago, the age shown in the downloaded bio sheet was the approximate age of the model at the time of the shoot. But I don't know specifically, if they were giving the model's age at the time of the photo shoot, or the model's age at the time the photo shoot was posted to the Metart site.

I only sent one email to Metart tech support about the current versus shooting photo age of the model.
I sent the email on Monday, early morning.
This is Saturday, evening.
No reply to the email. I figure it got lost in their spam filter.

The problem still appears in the bio text file that downloads with a photoset. It still gives the current age of the model. Not the age of the model at the time of the photoshoot, or when the photoshoot was posted to this site.

Just a bit of sloppiness. Annoying, but minor. Because they did list, and keep a record at Metart, of the age of the model with almost all photoshoots. But I don't know specifically if that age referred to the age of the model at the time the photoshoot was shot, or if it referred to the model's age at the time the photoshoot was posted to the Metart site.

If they send me a reply to my email to technical support, I will let you know.

Also, if I notice within a week or two that the downloaded bio now shows the age of the model at the time the photoset was posted (or it was shot?), I will let you know, by posting a reply to your post.

Error with Metart model age.

When you download a photoset of a model, it includes a small bio sheet for the model.

The model sheet includes:
Age
Eye color
Hair color
Height
Weight
Breast size
Country

And maybe a few small details about what the model likes or is doing.

The age of the model refers to the age she was at the time the photoset was posted to the site. (I believe that's what it's supposed to refer to. Less probable, it was the age the model was at the time of the photo shoot.)

Anyway, the computer program that is responsible for printing out the bio sheet has been, in error, I believe, now set up to print the age the model is currently.

On the Metart site, there is a bio section for each model, and that section gives the current age of the model.

But the downloaded bio sheet, that comes with a specific photoset, is supposed to give the age of the model at the time the photoset was posted to the site.

Instead, it now gives the current age of the model.

Sorry, my mistake. I meant David Hamilton, not Peter Hamilton.

But David Hamilton has been accused of using under-age models, as well. But he used a soft-focus effect, which is a better term than a fuzzy effect. And Galitsin used the same kind of soft-focus effect in some of his photo shoots.

Some of Ronin's photo shoots are still at MetArt. But it's probably been 6 years or more since he's had any new work posted at MetArt.

I'm not aware of any shoots that are in his artsy style that were posted at MetArt in the last few years.

I think that in the early days of MetArt, they were more accepting of different styles of eroticism. At least in some of their offerings.

But since then, they have mainly focused on more mainstream, less artistic photography.

Let me rephrase that. The far-out artistic style were always, at most, a very minor part of the MetArt offerings. And now they are even less on view.

Even the fuzzy (not a very appropriate term) of Grigori Galitsin photo shoots, which I thought were somewhat artsy, are not in evidence at MetArt today. But Galitsin was a different case, where he was accused of using under-age models. So all of his photo shoots were removed from MetArt, I believe.

But I thought Galitsin's shoots had a certain artistic quality, sort of in the Peter Hamilton style, with a fuzzy (I'm not using the proper term to describe it) effect to the photos.

Met-Art keeps improving.

Met-Art is probably the biggest site for softcore teen photography, based on content.

And the site just keeps getting bigger. They add up to 6 photosets and videos per day. I don't know of any softcore teen photo site that comes close to that in terms of updates.

But over the years, they also tinker with the site to make it user friendly. They have a massive amount of content, but I feel the site is very easy to use.

One example of how they to make the contents more accessible/user friendly:

Years ago, the naming system for zip downloads of photosets used a combination of letters and numbers. Then they switched to a different system, where the filenames were much longer, but that tried to describe the file contents more clearly. The system they use now is much improved:

It gives the site name, the date the photoset was posted at Met-Art, the name of the photoset, the model(s) featured in the photoset, the photographer, and the definition of the photoset (low, medium, or high).

For example:

MetArt_2011-05-08_PRESENTING-FELICIA-FELICIA-B-by-DOLCE_a658d_high

Would be a photoset posted on 2011-05-08, with the title, "Presenting Felicia", featuring the model Felicia B, by the photographer Dolce, and the definition is high.

Personally, I would rather that the name of the model comes before the name of the photoset. And I would prefer the date of the set comes before the name of the photoset. For example:

Felicia B-2011.05.08-Presenting Felicia

That would make more sense, and make it easier to categorize, as far as I can see.

Because when you are looking over your photosets, you want to know who the model is, when the photoset was posted, and then the name of the photoset.

I pay less attention to who the photographer is. And I try to keep all the Met-Art sets in a common group for Met-Art.

But it's nice that Met-Art tries, on a constant basis, to make the site more user-friendly.

I visit Met-Art more often than I go to any museum. For one, it's easier to visit. For another, the contents are more interesting. For another, Met-Art is like a museum, that is cultural, uplifting, and stimulates the mind.

There are very few porn sites that fit that description.

A lot of models have tried to cross over into acting. But very few models make it big as actors.

Marky Mark made the transition, and he has had an extremely successful career as an actor. His acting name is Mark Wahlberg.

I think of him as a model before he became an actor, because of the commercials he did for men's underwear.

But he was more famous as a singer than a model, before he became an actor: Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Jessica Lange was a model before becoming an actress. Today, she is considered one of the best professional actors of her generation, having won Academy awards, Golden Globes, Emmys, and just about everything else an actor can win.

But for her first acting job, in King Kong, I remember reading that a lot of critics said she had no talent as an actress.

Rene Russo (she was in the Lethal Weapon franchise with Mel Gibson) has had a very successful acting career after starting out as a model.

But like you said, most models that try to get into acting find that it's a matter of luck as well as skill and looks that help to determine your success.

Anyway, there are a lot of factors in making a good video. More so than making a good photograph.

I agree with your points about models and the difference between a photoset and a video.

But you would think, unless the people that run Metart are completely blind, that they would realize how boring their videos are.

And that they would stop wasting so much of their time and money and site-space on hosting these boring videos on their site.

Either that, or get people who know how to shoot an interesting video.

But at the same time, I think that Femjoy videos are also boring. Femjoy videos are slightly better than Metart videos, but not by much.

On the other hand, maybe it's partly a softcore thing.

Metart videos are boring.

This is not a news flash. They've always been boring.

I get more fun watching some commercials than I get out of watching most Metart videos. How do they make videos of beautiful, lovely models getting undressed so boring?

Many of their photosets are alluring, lovely, outstanding, really gorgeous to look at.

But my main question is: why can the Metart photosets be so alluring? And at the same time, their videos so boring?

Separately, when the downloaded Metart videos play back, there is sometimes a mosaic effect where the colors are sometimes pixellated, and that is just another distracting effect. What causes this? I don't get this effect watching videos I download from Diesel network or Teen Mega World or other sites I download from.

I don't have a gaming computer, that is set up for fast visual effects. But my laptop, and my desktop, are both fairly new, within the last year, so I should be able to play back even the 1080p videos with no problems, I would think.

Maybe it's a cookie that's causing me to see a different price.

After I read your note, I clicked on the PU link to Metart, clicked on the join page, and signed up to Metart for $14.99 for 30 days.

I also accepted their special offer to join Erotic Beauty for $12.50/month.

I'll try to clear out my cache/cookies later, to see if I can get the $19.99/month price for Metart.

But at the moment, I'm all joined up. More than joined up, because I still have subscriptions to other sites as well.

Special $14.99 for first month.

It appears that Metart is having a special promotion of $14.99 for the first month.

Click on the PU/TBP link to the site, and click on the "join" link, and the price of $14.99 for 30 days, then $29.99 recurring every 30 days, appears.

I'm not sure how you would get the $19.99/month recurring price that PU/TBP lists.

"Have you ever seen any exif data in a MET set?"

I'm not technically inclined.

I look at a photo (or video) and see whether I enjoy it or not. I pay very little attention to the technical specifications, although I do realize they can have an impact on my enjoyment.

I usually like photos that are clear and in focus. The same with videos.
