My impression is that some of the gravure models who do nude work start that late in their career (after losing or not getting the popularity/attention they were hoping for?). A few will even get into hardcore.
But the major work of gravure is non-nude photography. Because the girls can be lovely, and the photography so excellent, the photos can be erotic as well. I can't stress how lovely some of these models can be in their photos.
But it also appears that this site is showing a lot of non-exclusive photos. These were photos taken over the years, not for this site, that were already published. And this site has collected a number of these photos and is posting them to make its contents much larger than it would be otherwise. I was looking at one model at this site, a lovely teenager (I'm not a member, I was looking at the preview area), I looked the model up on the internet, and it turns out the model is now in her early thirties. Japanese girls can look much younger than their real age, but this photo was taken many years ago, when the girl was still a teenager.
She's not the only model who has pictures taken 5-10+ years ago that are posted at this site.
As long as you have a good understanding of what the site contents will be before you join this site, you might be satisfied with your membership.
But someone who expects a lot of nudity will probably be disappointed.
Also, the number of photos for each model is pretty small. You see a model you like, you will only get a tiny taste of her.
Not a member of this site. At least some of the models listed are famous Japanese models who are/were completely non-nude. Aya Ueto and Aya Hirayama, for example, are famous models who have appeared in bathing suits, but that is as much skin as they have ever shown.
Anyone joining this site expecting a lot of nudity will probably be disappointed. There are a lot of absolutely lovely Japanese models featured, but a gravure model is not a nude model, but one who wears clothing (including swimsuits and lingerie).
My suggestion would be to post your question in the "Threads" section of PU, with details that might focus the possible suggestions.

There are several Japanese sites that are covered by PU/TBP. I would read the PU reviews first, because they give a clearer picture of what the sites are like.
Two main ideas to keep in mind:
Are you comfortable with the mosaic censorship? If yes, that widens the sites that might appeal to you.
Do you currently have a basic knowledge of the AV stars--especially the ones you might want to follow?
If yes, that would help narrow the sites that might appeal to you.
Based on my approach, I normally focus on the best looking models. Then I look at their solo, lez, boy-girl video offerings.
The other types of videos don't hold as much interest for me: group sex, bukkake, etc.
The quality of the videos/pictures can make a big difference (for me, anyway).
You watch the videos or photos of Maria Ozawa at All Japanese Pass, or JAV HD, and you won't realize how fucking lovely she can be in other sites. Years ago I joined a different Japanese porn site that had download limits. Since the videos were large, it was easy to exceed the download limits in a single day, and be blocked from the site for 24 hours or more.
Also, the mechanism they used to monitor the usage was faulty: I carefully kept my daily download usage well below the stated limit, but I was blocked several times--for a day or more--because the program they used inflated my actual download usage.
