What started out as a promising site for an absolutely stunningly beautiful model, has quickly slowed to a crawl and lost all the impetus needed to make or break a career in this industry.
You are promised access to her diary when you sign up and also access to 'join her for a chat' on her recommended message board, but she's not been on any of these since July!
The site claims bi-weekly updates with videos added 'weekly', Yet this isn't the case. You get an automatic gallery update each week (sometimes you have to wait to download it because the webbies can't organise the file download correctly) The video section is the most frustrating, It is set out well and has potential for a lot of content but it's became as neglegted as her diary/message board involvement.
Now she may be busy, but surely she or her webmasters can keep the promises they made for those who want to sign up for membership?
She has the potential to be a megastar but her fanbase will never grow if she continues to neglect the fans who put their money where their mouth is to support her fledgling career.
I'm not sure it's Alex's fault to be honest, I think it's more to do with poor management and poor handling of how her site is run.
For now I would say to anyone thinking of subscribing...DON'T, put your money into a site that gives you value for that money, a site that delivers it's promises, a site that shows the fans are more than just a $$$$ in the eyes of the people involved with the site.
alexjolie.com has a lot to do to reclaim the momentum it had gained when it first launched.
Right now, you lose interest, after initial registration and discovery of what the site holds (not very much), very quickly. And the poor updates system just adds to the frustration and the overall unprofessional manner of the running of the site makes you want to scream.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID and take your loyalty somewhere where it will be appreciated.
(hopefully at some point this site will get it's act together before the models career suffers any damage, because she is beautiful, of that there is no doubt) |
