Good review, but some comments:
The iced tea at Micky D's is (slightly) flavored water and is just awful. Their coffee isn't a whole lot better.
As you noted TLE s slightly more erotic than Met Art (the gals will touch some parts of their bodies on TLE (squeezed boobs, touching labia lips, etc.) but that's a bout it.
The movies on Met Art are a bit improved from past years but aren't worth joining for.
The two sites; TLE and Met Art, do use a lot of the same models and usually use the same names.
They should have stayed with the same navigation system that they use for Met Art.

Been a member for 3 months and let it expire two days ago. I had my notes ready to write my review but yours covered all of my points plus a lot more. We agree on virtually everything except the score, which I would say is an 85.* The reason being that the number of models is far smaller than Met Art and the navigation isn't as easy as Met Art.
Also, as you said, the tag feature really sucks. It isn't great on Met Art either, but it's a whole lot better there thsn on TLE.
I would have dropped the site after 2 months but I missed the deadline.
It's on my annual consideration list. Next year I'll sign up for a month to drain off any new stuff that's worth keeping.
* I just posted my 85 score for the site.

Excellent review. I've been thinking about signing up for a while but I just got an email offering $9.95 recurring. So I decided to skip the supersized Big Mac and spend the money on this site to check it out.
Besides it's healthier. A porn site has fewer calories and saturated fat than a Big Mac with Fries.

Slow, but not terribly so.
The interviews are fun, but most are done fully clothed from beginning to end. (Out of 43 total videos, 13 are interviews and 13 more are sloppily edited "behind the scenes," leaving a total of 17 videos that are full productions (but those 17 are very well done.)
One very cute babe, Franchezca Valentina, has no videos, just 118 photos. The other 13 have photo sets and at least 3 videos each.
Navigation is easy and well structured for a future fully populated site. |

I signed up after reading Drooler's Comment. There are now 14 babes in the stable - SHAY LAREN was added on July 1 with 117 photos and 3 videos, the first update since mid-March.
I signed up today at 1:00pm. I completed a 100% drain of all content by 7:15pm, even with a lot of interruptions. I'm guessing that, with a normal broadbnand connection and no distractions, one could drain all of the content in two to three hour's time, tops.
The site has a lot of potential and really should have been loaded with a lot more content before going live, but for us Porn Users, it's a great deal at $2.95.
I'm hoping the webmaster works on building the site with much more content because I'll be back when it's ready for prime time.
(The 80 score is a direct result of the paucity of content. With 140 babes instead of 14, and if they are all of the same top drawer caliber, this site would warrant a mid 90's score.) |

As a member back when this review was written, I agree with the review and with the "good ole standby" bottom line; accurate at that time.
But the drastic changes made and currently being made to the site is quickly turning Twistys from a refreshingly different site to just another hardcore slam bam thank you ma'm site where the format and new content is virtually indistinguishable from many (most?) other straight hardcore sites.
Right now the only reason to sign up on Twistys is for its huge archive of excellent content and drain off the good stuff before the new owners decide to delete it forever.

Interestingly, I've been a member for more than 5 years. My annual membership expired in mid-June (no auto renew) so when I lost access I contacted Twisty support. They offered me what they called a great deal not available to the general public. Their "great deal" prices were slightly better than the current PU/TGP prices (less than 1 cent per day cheaper. Plus they offered a lifetime membership for $64.94 in any other site so long as I maintained my membership in Twistys. The sites included in this offer are:

Reality gang
I didn't bite.
It will be interesting to see if Twistys continues its tailspin. If it recovers, I'm all in. But with the new ownership, I'm not holding out very much hope.

Thanks Hooliganzo, for a great reply. It works as a "bottom line" commentary to your review.
I have relatively minor issues with the site's search function by criteria; for example, the cup sizes are not accurate, there is no search by natural/enhanced but there is a search by state (who really cares about state?), no search by soft core/hard core, no search by solo vs. G/G or B/G, etc.
I also give it an uptick for dating everything no matter how old, a clear indication of original content and a halfway decent discussion forum and a responsive webmaster who tries to be responsive to most comments.

Another excellent review.
e4m pretty much echos my feelings about the site. It's been around a long time and is not as edgy as many other sites but, if you can tolerate their non-responsive support function, it's a great site for volume, quality and variety of content.
The current PU discount price (annual membership is about $8 a month) makes it a very good deal, IMO.

I had similar experiences. My account finally was cancelled when my credit card expired and the renewal charge was rejected.
I was OK with the site, so the involuntary renewals were not a serious problem for me.
If the good folks at Twistys keep going downhill with their support function, they will wind up as just a memory. A shame because they are still a good site for those of us who like less "edgy" sites that concentrate on lovely ladies and their body parts.

As for Twistys I would like them to add two things to their search engine - 1) hard core/soft core/midcore and 2) natural vs enhanced (bogus) boobies.

What does "no action" in your con list mean? The emphasis is on "softcore" but Twistys has a lot of hardcore "action" available in both its photo and video offerings.

The characterization of toys and finger play as "midcore" is associated with the pornography standards of magazines over the latter part of the 20th Century.
Playboy was the first mainstream porn mag to show muff back in the late 1960's, creating a mild firestorm. Penthouse grabbed the momentum by showing modest amounts of genitalia, usually somewhat hidden by bush and, by today's standards, very mild.
Content in mainstream porn mags with any form of insertion arrived in the late 1990's in Hustler who toyed with the process earlier with solo labia lip activity.
We old farts look at insertions as going more hardcore than the PG (pretty girl) genre we grew up with where all there was was babes showing their bodies with no overt sexuality.
That's a long way of saying I understand where Capn is coming from and agree completely.

The zip file associated with the sample I mentioned above is janaredlng.zip. I agree with you completely that an effort to use more descriptive zip file names would be a major improvement. These days, with substantially improved file naming protocols, there's no technical reason why severely truncated file names must be used by Twistys.

Twistys has a third bonus site, Anette Dawn.com, which is not a clone.
Blue Fantasies is a very well populated site with tons of good stuff. Naughty Staff is a brand new site with excellent stuff, but not much of it yet.
Thus there are 3 clones and 3 separate content sites in addition to the mother lode called Twistys.

I just checked one photo set and one photo in it...here's the label...janaredlng_003.jpg.
It's a Jana Cova photo set posted today that they call "Dip and Lick" and the red, I suppose, refers to her bright red panties. There are clues, obviously, and I suppose their naming is better than others that use just numbers, or the same names for everything.

- Daily updates with 4 photo sets and 1 clip
- All recent videos are top quality
- Decent level of exclusive content but a lot of non-exclusive stuff as well
- TBP price ($19.95) is excellent compared to similar sites
- Zip photo downloads
- Has a rating system that is reasonably consistent with my tastes |

- Some older video clips are of lousy quality
- Video content is lighter than similar sites
- Older videos are in parts, requiring multiple downloads
- Many videos are X movie scenes and are not easily identified as such. Quality is a sometimes thing. |
| Bottom Line: |
I'm more interested in video than in photos and this site is quite good in providing top notch quality in its daily updates. Many of the models are apparently exclusive to Twistys.
Bottom line, this site is definitely worth the investment for one month. I am a 10 month member at $99.00 and am quite satisfied with it. |

You refer to a "trial price" but I can't find one. The TBP summary shows a $29.95/month price as does the website. Could it be that yours was a short term (or a tie-in) deal of some kind?
