Great review. I say that because I'm virtually in agreement with everything marcdc1 says especially in his bottom line.
His signoff recommendation to check for favorites before getting a membership is spot on. There are so many of my favorites in their data base that have just one or two videos and are never updated.
Reliably excellent photography in most cases but I agree that there are too many slam bam thank you m'am scenes with no imagination.

Looks like Dev8 has stopped updating all of their sites, not just Prime Cups. Rather strange because they have among the best in the biz.
Damned shame. But hopefully someone will realize that they can still make a ton of revenue if they offer the sites at a lower price and/or create a network to combine some or all of their sites.

I agree completely.
I am about to spring $30 (USD) for a month of Prime Cups and went in to the public site just to see if anything has changed. I tested the super HD (1920) test run that used up 15.8 mb for about 25 seconds...and although the picture was crisp and nice, the 960 version of the test was virtually the same on my screen, yet it used "only" 5.6 mb (65% less). Then I tried the 640 version and it came in at a paltry 3.0 mb. And it was damned good as well.
The difference, to me, isn't sufficiently large enough to warrant the lost hard drive space. (After all, only a breast research doctor or a gynecologist may need better definition than you get with 640, IMO.)
I plan to sign up and do a full drain of the pre-identified "good stuff" on the site (anyone can get a full index of all Dev8 stuff at Indexxxed.com . so I've already D/L'd the trailers for each and every video on that site and know which scenes I'll want to D/L once I've signed up.)
By the way, I sent an email to Dev8 asking if there was any less expensive way to access all their stuff like a network pass or something. They referred me to their site called More Gonzo. That site has an inventory of 120 videos from 6 of their 10 sites, total. As they add a new (to this site) video they remove an old one. At any given time they will have 20 older videos from each of their six big and established sites...but nothing from their newer sites, PurePOV, Fist Flush, Milf Thing and FistFlush.
With daily updates (except Sunday), then, one can, with proper planning, drain off 144 videos (the 120 on the sight at signup date and 24 daily updates) in a month and then quit...or just stay enrolled and, if they play it straight, eventually get access to most of their overall inventory.
More Gonzo is probably a good site for a starter to see what the full videos are like in the 6 sites covered (the trial provides access to very short videos so you'll never see an entire video without signing up for a full month)

Good review IMO and it matches my experience.
What's more interesting though is that I've joined all but one of the sites mentioned in past years(Private, Penthouse, Hustler and Playboy, but not Wicked).
All were total wastes of money IMO and lost me after a few days with the content, crappy downloads - or streaming only (Hustler).
I was not aware that Playboy and Penthouse have upgraded their stuff so I may have to check those sites out.

I did what the webmaster suggested and found the preview site to have some real babes. I'm not into that genre, but a specialty site that lasts for 6 years obviously is doing a good job satisfying its market niche.

Boy are you right. I checked out some of the previews and felt ill. For those tempted to check it out, some examples are thumbtacks shoved up into a woman's vagina, a bottle brush on a power drill fully inserted, Materials stapled to a woman's body, and a whole lot more.

I und3erstand the argument completely, but if the site wants to limit the d/l's to 14, then it should say so BEFORE, not after someone signs up.
It's like going to a restaurant offering a second meal free with the purchase of a meal, and once you order, they give you half portions because they can't stay in business if they actually honor their advertised offer.
The rip off is false advertising.

You can get the site at $14.99 if you click on the PU link, then go to the sign up page, then X out of the site. The site comes back with a "special deal" at $14.99 which you then can accept. It does not say whether that price is just for the first month or if it's good for all renewals.

Agree with the Squirrel, RA. Another great review.
My only addition is that I use Firefox as my browser and had frequent problems signing on. The unstated limits seemed to arrive even on the first or second D/L. When I had Firefox access issues I could access with IE immediately but couldn't download anything. I also don't like having to switch browsers.
RK's support provided no he;p fixing the issue so I just decided to quit trying. There are plenty of other great sites so fighting to access what I've paid for just ain't worth the frustration.

Totally agree!
First they made it very difficult to access their site on FireFox for some unknown reason which thus required using IE; then this.
And their predilection to post women with obvious aftermarket boobs, which is the main reason I cancelled, this site is in a self-destruct mode.
Too many other great sites out there and so little time, why even bother with Reality Kings?

I'm good with all of Pat's observations, especially the identification issues and the low quality of the older stuff. Those two aspects are what makes me score this site at 85 (I reserve 90+ for superb sites with no significant shortcomings.
Identification - What's the problem with the site here? There's no legitimate reason these people can't maintain a consistent naming convention and make it easy on those of us who pay the bills to find what we want when we want. My only conclusion is pure laziness.
Older stuff - At least the site could tie the multiple clips together for Pete's sake. It isn't that hard to do. Then consider doing what Bang Bros has been doing; remastering the really good stuff in the archives.
I have one additional significant beef with this site; they don't do a decent job supporting Fire Fox Mozilla browsers. While a member I was forced to switch over to IE to access the site, a real pain in the ass because my download manager is a Fire Fox add-in.
Three significant issues (with a few minor ones at well) make this a low 80's for me.

As a long time member and a first class procrastinator, I have intended to write a review of the site but never got around to it. Your review pretty much matches what I would say myself. One minor addition is that there are somewhat fewer girls with bogus boobies and more naturals on RK compared with Brazzers; and a somewhat larger percentage of attractive girls on RK than on Bang Bros.
And 89 is a "right on" score.
I'm curious, however. Who are the five girls who you found "fucking amazing?" There are several that make my little Richard emerge as big Dick that are not to be found elsewhere.

Good review and good observations that pretty much match mine.
I was a member of RK, Bang Bros and Brazzers at the same time at nice low monthly recurring rates. I bailed out on Reality Kings after going a month with no downloads at all; too many bogus boobies, too much ugly body art and, with the few scenes that look like good candidates for downloading (Euro Sex Parties), far too long with too much bullshit.
While I like a nicely turned out butt once in a while, the site seems to have too much focus on asses and not enough on real, natural fun bags and nicely turned out labias. I remember that the last scene I watched was 40 +/- minutes and it wasn't until 20 minutes or so in that we finally got to see a naked breast (it was nice, but all too briefly featured).
The score of 87 is very fair.

After a long relationship with RK (over 18 months straight) I also threw in the towel.
Main reasons are:
Several download problems.
Non responsive customer support.
Less than exciting updates compared to other sites.
I found two sites that are great and are working hard to keep my business: 21sextury and DDFProd. They have convinced me that RK is no longer worth continuing.
The signs are there that you may be right; the site may well be on its way to oblivion.

I agree with the review and thanks for the tips.
A few months back I was having problems with the logon so the techs changed it. Happened again. Fixed again. Happened again. Fixed again.
Each time I lost access until tech support fixed the problem, but no extension of time was offered in any of the cases.
Minor point but each interruption lost me from 24 to 48 hours. (Gave me time to check out other sites.)
Logon has been stable now for at least 4 months.

That happened to me (expired cc). I called the 800 number of their billing service. They told me to sign up for the $5 trial with the new credit card and immediately sign up from the trial, while I was on the line with her. She said she would set it up at the $9.95 rate. I got the 3 days and am back on the $9.95 rate.
Seems like a silly procedure but it worked fine.
