I voted "other" because:
1- I'll measure a reviewer's comments against my own experience to see if the comments are fair and balanced.
2- I read the review to see if the reviewer tries to provide balance; for example, someone who prefers photo sites who reviews a video site gets my trust if he says so and tries to evaluate the site objectively anyway.
3- I compare the review content to that of the 4 TBP's reviewers to see if there are significant differences without explanation. (Yes, I trust the four TBP reviewers who have yet to steer me wrong.

Sorry Khan, I must have misunderstood your reply (#5). It sounded like it would be more difficult, but not impossible, for a Webmaster to post a Negative Trust.
If Webmasters are not permitted to post any (negative or positive) Trust Ratings (except by intentional contravention of your rules) that is as it should be.
Thanks.

There are really two options here.
1 - Should anonymous trust ratings be permitted?
2 - Should all negative ratings be required to include a reason for the negative?
My answer is yes to both...but anonymous negative trust ratings with no explanation accomplish absolutely nothing at all. An anonymous negative rating with an explanation is helpful.
Also it is not the poll question, but I don't feel that webmasters should ever be permitted to vote on a Trust Rating. After all, they are, by their function, biased against any negative comments made by genuine Porn Users.

I agree 100% that if a site uses CCBill AND gets a good review on TBP, I don't worry very much about getting screwed. But I still look for those little check marks that offer unwanted "other" sites.

I agree with the 1500 limit. Otherwise the valuable stuff gets lost in the word forest. Being one who tends to be effusive with words, I find that word count limits are effective at getting me to reduce an overabundance of adjectives and adverbs...and to get straight to the point.

Just checked. Codi Milo has 3 videos added since May 7, 2007, plus one photo set on May 28, 2007. Julia Hayes is no longer listed in the model index for Danni.com.

Drooler's Poll
Frankly, the multiple names issue becomes a marketing loser both for the babe and for the sites on which she appears. If I want to see more of Angelica Costello, for example, I will have difficulty locating much content through a web search so any sites that have her fratured by her better known alias, Venus Knight (or just Venus) will get no hits from me.
I really see no benefit at all to the babe, However the sites can create the illusion of exclusivity by creating a unique name for a babe so I would like to see the babes insist on a site using a known identifier when signing a web deal.

OK, I signed up again through TBP's discounted rate and am looking to see when things get back in the shape it was with Danni. Some really outstanding content has been added (more explicit and vigorous "soft core") but way too many cases where the older stuff is inaccessible, either because of server issues or software issues. I am getting less pessimistic, but their Customer Service email and 800 number service remains non-existent.

I agree. If I gotta do one-by-one downloads, I get very selective. Otherwise I can slide-show a zip d/l and pick out the ones I want to delete very easily.

It's been my experience over the past few years that, if a site isn't reviewed on TBP, it's probably a garbage site. In Nov., I broke my rule about not signing up for a site that was not reviewed on TBP (Angelica Costello's site - she's also known as Venus Knight) and wasted $19.95 on a totally worthless site. Never again.
TBP is the Consumers Reports of On Line porn.

Actually nI never gave the distinction much thought. If I see a site referred to as a "soft core" site, I don't expect vaginal sex at all. However, beyond that, it's a nebulous term. I've seen hot and heavy lesbian sex with strap-ons and other toys on supposedly "soft core" sites.
In the late 90's, when most general circulation magazines stopped short of any penetration by anything, the introduction of non-intercourse penetration by Hustler and Penthouse blurred the line significantly.

The quality of the videography can make or break a shower scene. If the babe has a nice set of natural boobs and gives them a good workout as she washes...and the cameraman is as much a tit-man as I am, it can be great.

Great review, Drooler. You touched on a number of characteristics that would not be obvious without plunking down some money for a month's sign-up. They, along with TBP's alert that DRM is used, has made me decide that I'll try this site later rather than sooner.

I've gravitated to video from pix so Video Box is my choice. But having been a member to all but Abby Winters, I will say they are all great sites.
I'm surprised that Met-Art was omitted as a choice because it ranks high by most review sites and really has superb content.

OK, it's now been a full month since they dropped DRM. Has it been reimposed yet?
Pardon me if I don't trust these assholes. I was a full paying member for almost a year when Danni ran the show and had only a few issues that her staff dealt with virtually instantly. Yes, they used DRM but "Danni's Pledge" was that once you cancelled your membership, you still had a permanent license so long as you didn't move your saved copy. Danni sold out. The new management screwed the site totally by disabling a bounch of content (about 50% was good stuff) and killing the DRM guarantee. My emails to them were ignored except when I said I was ready to subscribe again. Then they sent me a "special deal" which, as it turns out, was 5 cents more expensve than the rate offered TBP members.
A good site with a totally untrustworthy management.

Most (all?) of Bang Brothers content downloads in 3 parts. A trial subscription gets you only the first scene which is frequently a teaser, sometimes no nudity at all, and never any hard core. The strategy is a bit dumb, in my opinion, because they should want to convert the sampler folks into full subscriptions. Happy campers are more likely to spring for a quarter benjamin than guys who are pissed off with the skimpy trial.

I have found TBP to be very accurate and refuse to sign up for any site with a lousy review (or no review) on TBP.
I would check off all of the choices in the poll if I could but I can't so I picked "honest."
This site is, by far, the best for us Porn fans.

Roger that, Pat362!! The worst thing a site owner can do is piss off a newbie with this deception. I stick around on any new site I subscribe to for a few months...and some for a year or more...but if I get schnookered with an upsell I'm gone.
The good news is that about 50% of the time I can talk my way out of the upsell by calling CCBill's (or whomever) 800 number.

They have occasional quality issues on VideoBox ranging from forced aspect ratios and discolored transfers. I have seen only 3 or 4 with aspect ratio issues (with about 1,800 full videos per year being added, a few dogs are no big issue.
The color issue (usually a redish tint) is caused by poor transfer from the original but is easily corrected using WMP's color adjustment capability.
Some "early" videos, meaning videos produced in the 80's and 90's, not early loads on the site, are low quality but that's because the originals were lousy (35mm photography converted to video).
The premium membership ($5.00 extra) provides DVD quality at 4+ times the size. A 25 minute DVD quality scene can easily run 500 Mb compared with a "High-Res." vid of the same 25 minute scene is about 80-90 Mb. In some cases the difference isn't worth the huge size but most are clear and crisp inb my 1440 monitor.
At $14.95, sign up and check it out. I am quite sure you'll love it. (I've been a member for well over a year.)

I used to be like both PinkPanther and Maloicchio, but with the volume of material available now in very high resolution, I tend to not watch vids that don't show well full screen.
The sites that stay with the lower resolution stuff will lose a lot of business soon if they don't improve their offerings.

I'm into the girl and her showing off all of her assets. That's why RCG is my favorite.
But with nice large natural hooters, a well shot doggie style does the trick.

My experience has been that a site not covered by TBP generally sucks. Worst example is Angelica Costello's site (Venus Knight) that was essentially DOA.
If I can't find a review here, the closest I'll come to joining is to buy a trial if offered.

I sign up only for sites that MBP has rated high and the MBP summary shows no DRM. I seldom sign up for more than 1 month for sites except sites like VideoBox that have a large number of updates (5 per day, 155 new CD's per month) and the price is reasonable (like VB). With sites that I like a lot, like Busty Adventures, I'll sign up for a month, then again six months later because they update only once weekly and catching up every six months is a piece of cake.
