In my view it sending feedback directiy to a site (as opposed to posting here) probably does little or no good. The good websites usually monitor what reviewers say while the bad ones don't really care. Maybe my view will change over time but I've never posted feedback on a site.

I'm on about my third "free" (yahoo, etc.) mailbox that I use for signing up for porn sites. I have to shift boxes every year or two because the spam just gets overwhelming. I think some of the better sites do not sell but a lot of them do regardless of what they say. Heck, we'll never find out for sure so I guess they figure they can make a few extra $$ by selling their lists.
My question is, has any one actually joined a site because of some spam they got (I never have)?

I never join for limited trials. If the site lacks a decent free tour as part of the site entrance that should be a big warning right there that the content isn't up to snuff. Between reviews (here and elsewhere) and what the site is offering should be enough to decide on whether to pay or not. I view limited trials as more of a webmaster quick money hit from unwary users.

I came up with the poll as I'm currently in a career transition. Sorry, though, I don't think I could handle doing it full time. Part of the problem about being a porn reviewer is how to address your "work" in social situations. Then again, it'd probably help sort out your true friends pretty quickly.

Get with program people, this is the 21st century and we download these days, we don't "buy" over priced dvds. I think the most humorous way to resolve the situation would be to call the number and leave a phone message like "If you are the owner of Ass Gapers #67, Cum Drenched Twats #12 and Sado-Slave-Chained Boys and can identify the rest of the materials I just found, I will be happy to return your belongings." Hope the poor sap doesn't have a family voice mail box.

I've joined probably a half dozen using the discounts. I've only had a couple bad experiences and joined a couple, like Brazzers and Suze, that I probably would not have gone to without the discount.
I'm simply waiting for all my favs to offer discounts ;)

Unfortunately, it sounds like even the top sites are now succumbing to the usual consumer pitfalls: price creep, package creep (same price but smaller package), recycling content, etc. Too bad but I can live with one update per day. In the long run it will probably hurt their revenues more as people are less likely to pay for multi-month memberships with fewer updates.

I was one some DDF sites earlier this year and noticed that recycling content was getting to be a bit of theme with them. My guess is that we can all look forward to "hot new releases" from the year 2005 coming soon ... maybe the porn industry needs to apply for some government bailout money so they won't do this to us any more ;)

I recently finished a membership at Handsonhardcore and noticed that there was a lot of "remastering" going on there as well. I think it's due in part to the fact that most porn surfers haven't been around all that long and will think it's new and in part saving production money while keeping the updates flowing.

Sorry to hear about that man. It is a good site. I've never had any problems with the DDF sites so I can't vouch for how good the customer service is or is not (although "not" sounds more like it).
The "brute force" message that comes up suggest that your ip address may be blocked mistakenly or otherwise. Have you tried logging on from another server address?
My only other advice is to keep trying the DDF email. If that doesn't work, you may have to take the slightly embarassing step of contacting your credit card company to contest the charges but, $30 is $30.

+ Good download speeds (about 2-3 MB/sec).
+ Newer content has 1900x1080 vids and pics going up to 3500x2300.
+ Bills through Epoch.
+ Lots of cute “girl next door” Russian models with few tats and almost no implants.
+ Zip files for pics
+ In browser stream works well though I had to lower the resolution on newer vids to get smooth playback.
+ TBP discount is $20, half off the regular price. |

- Of the 30 sites, only 4 are currently updating and only about 6 have updated in the last 5 years.
- The vast majority of content is dated in terms quality (vids are mostly 520x280 and pics 1200x800).
- The photoviewer is clunky to use.
- Prechecked cross sale on signup and a tricky signup button.
- Only updates about once a week and about half the updates are nonexclusive.
- On nonexclusive content, model names are different than from other sites.
- No real model info though the directory seems complete.
- Not enough tags for any real type of search beyond each site or all content
- A lot of the content has an amateur production feel but it's not terrible.
- What little conversation there is in the vids is in Russian.
- Site overall is pretty repetitive in terms of content and how it's produced. No real reason why there are so many sites when the content frequently overlaps. |

Full disclosure: I joined this site knowing what I was getting into. I had previously joined this site over 10 years ago (it was under a different name then) and sort of liked the photo content but one of the files I had with the content got corrupted. I also recognized a lot of the newer stuff as Teenmegaworld content on the previews so I basically joined in a fit of nostalgia. And nostalgia is what you get. With so few sites updating the vast majority of content is 2008 or earlier. The net effect is cute Russian lasses sporting underwear that was probably the height of fashion in the Soviet era; sets featuring fine hand me down furniture that only a gulag worker could love; and in the videos, scenes so lacking in sexual intensity and chemistry that it makes you believe the whole country was filled with sexual atheists then. Because so much of the content is old, you also get lots of fabulous electronica music scores that play throughout the whole scene.
What I'm effectively saying is that unless you enjoy lower resolution vids with the sound turned down that is primarily a picture site provided you can handle mostly 800x1200 sized pics. Still I kind of liked it because the girls are mostly ones you don't or didn't see elsewhere and they are pretty cute, having that eastern euro “girl next door” look and they aren't all tatted and siliconed up. Here's a quick run down:
PICS: Like I said, most fall in the 1200x800 size and all scenes have pics with zips. There are roughly 100 scenes in total that have larger sizes. As usual, a lot of the pic scenes don't have as much content as the vids.
VIDEO: Again, due to the lack of updates there aren't as many 1080 scenes as the low rez 520x280; probably a few hundred scenes and some of those are just standard rez scenes enhanced to HD sized. The early scenes have a lot of music throughout and the action isn't very hot. All dialogue is in Russian and only a few vids have subtitles.
NAV: Navigation is fine if you go site by site as opposed to viewing all the updates across the network when you run into pagination issues. Tags are worthless because there aren't enough of them. Model info is basically worthless. However, the stream function works fine and downloading is easy. Video download files need better naming too.
Regarding updates, about half the current updating content is Teenmegaworld stuff. Only the TrickyOldTeacher, YoungAnalTryouts, and OldGoesYoung sites feature exclusive updates.
Signup can be a bit tricky. There is a prechecked cross sale and the actual sign up page, there are four boxes outlining the payment options and a box below that says “Create account for 30 sites”. If you don't click the monthly membership box above the “Create account” box, the confirmation page will want to automatically sign you up for a year in a manner you may not catch. I almost got burned by this.
With the lack of updates and the large quantity of older low rez content, unless you're a photo collector who is willing to tolerate a bunch of 800x1200 sized pics of cute Russian girls banging away it's probably not worth joining. The exception would be if you're into old/young content as there is a good amount of that that's exclusive and not all low rez. So, if you want to revisit the internet porn world from the early 2000's, this is a good place to do it. |

Mmmm. I just looked at the TBP facts and they only have the limited access 3 day trial being listed. The full access trial is no longer listed on the TBP site either, so, that was the basis for my comment. I altered it to make it clear the full trial isn't on the table any more.
