This poll has been rather enlightening in the replies it has provoked. I'm always curious about the socio/political beliefs of the porn community. I think exotics4me's variant of the question would have been more fitting - but it was interesting how provoked some were by the poll that was posed.
I come from a very liberal background, as a child I was allowed to watch R-rated (and Unrated) movies with my parents as long as the films weren't too heavy on violence. Sexual material was previewed by them but not heavily restricted.
Not too surprisingly I agree with this policy - I'm bothered how much violence is gleefully blasted across TV and yet a nipple at the Superbowl brings the nation to arms. That seems a little ass-backwards to me. I would much rather a child know how to put on a condom than know how to turn-off the safety on a Glock.
Would I take my kids on a day-trip to a porn shop? No. But I don't think I'd be all that upset if I caught them looking at porn unless it were particularly extreme. I don't believe kids should be allowed to surf the web or watch TV or Movies with out parental supervision. I think too many parents are lazy about monitoring their children and would rather have convenient laws tell their kids what they can view instead of controlling it themselves. How about this? Don't give your kid their own computer and TV. And use Net Nanny or a similar service. With the internet's porn shut-down and their TV access restricted, the worst they'll probably run across is a playboy or such - depending on what their friends families allow of course - freedom does have its risks.
If parents were a bit more frank about the topic with their kids I think there would be a few less problems. One way or another kids will educate themselves on the subject - you can be a part of that education or not. Personally I'd rather have some influence on that matter if I consider myself responsible for raising the kid.
So back to the question: I don't care what age looks at softcore - it is just naked bodies. The softer hardcore - I would hope the kids had hit puberty before they were waltzing through that content. Definitely at any age we'd be having a discussion about it when I found it. Gonzo content I'm not sure what I'd do - it would depend on lot on the kid, the content and so on. I guess I can't prepare a game plan for that one yet.

Thanks for the warning - sounds like a site I'll skip over. That whole advertising a lower price than what they charge is really sketchy.
The best site for British porn (well non-boy/girl hardcore porn) that I've found is still Simon Scans. I haven't reviewed it because I've been gone for too long (March, 2007). Cheers!

LOL - I may have gotten a bit off topic but I guess I was trying to point out that domination/submission fantasies can be solely sexual and have no interest in panning out into other aspects of life. Alright - I'll take the bait. Ass-to-Mouth (ATM) is another fetish along the lines of the various aggressive submissive / domination role-play gonzo sex style that has made certain studios, both state side and abroad. "Unclean Practice" - at home, yes you are probably right. Professionally, not necessarily so - most professional stars that do anal have enemas performed before hand so there aren't any unwelcome surprises when the dick is removed.
Do I like watching ATM's? Actually I would be one of those freaks - yes, lol. Not a big surprise to people who have read my German Goo Girls review, I'm sure. Now when I review sites I try to evaluate the quality of the content, not necessarily how much I like the content (if I had more space I would do both) - but as for my personal tastes, well they are a bit contradicting. I don't know that I've explained the appeal of ATMs exactly. It lies definitely in the fantasy realm for me. It is something I wouldn't necessarily try, but the very taboo nature of it, combined with its domination/submission characteristics, make it fascinating. Half of me saying "holy hell! She is actually sucking that! I wouldn't!" and the other half saying "Damn. That's hot...".
I wish I could really pin down a specific nature of the act that appeals. It is similar to cum shots, Freaks Of Cock proved to me that just like in Hentai, the cumshot doesn't need to be real for me to like it - it is the idea, very much in the same manner of how I can happily enjoy AIF (Adult Interactive Fiction) as much as a full screen video. Porn is a very personal experience, much of the experience is in the brain, not as much a sensory experience as one might think.
I guess for me I like to fantasize about sexual dominance - I have no interest in dominating women in any other aspect of life at all. It astonishes me that people have physically or verbal abusive relationships - and really annoys me when I see women being put down for their intelligence or other ridiculous things people come up with. Granted there are physical difference between the genders, but this just means different strengths and weaknesses. I think it is silly that we don't have a 100% mixed gender military - as women have distinct physical advantages for certain military activities. So going back to the topic at hand - one can be interested in sexual domination and not be obsessed with domination across the board. It is simply role-playing, nothing more. (Again, in my opinion.)

Fujiko Kano has actually made a bit of a name for herself over here and apparently worked in the Japanese AV scene for awhile and, if I remember correctly, a Japanese brothel before that. However - yes, it is definitely a cultural style - and unfortunately one that I've never really gotten into. No doubt, with how rapidly porn is expanding, somebody will start a Western-styled Japanese porn site in the future - I'll just have to wait, lol.

It depends a lot on the style of porn, but my first response was twenties as fit teenagers generally are smoother than fit girls in their twenties. That layer of "baby fat" disappears (just due to the maturation of the body) and you can get girls that look like fashion models without the disturbing dietary requirements.
That is for the glamorous style of porn - but if you are going for hardcore gonzo, well some European productions still have glamor model types doing that as well, but in most cases I'm much more lenient with hardcore because I think enthusiasm and skill is more important in a model than perfect looks. I guess that would be the difference between photography and video for me - if you are doing a photo only site, I expect women with jaw-dropping looks, whatever their advertised attribute is, it has to be stunning - with video I'm looking for character. If the action has multiple performers there needs to be a connection between them - everybody needs to appear to be having a good time, otherwise I lose interest quickly.

There will always be crappy sites trying to make a quick buck, and as I recall there always has been. However there are so many sites with exclusive content - granted not every one has a unique idea and presentation but I think the fact that their dozens upon dozens of respectable sites that care about their customers, care about their models and care about their image - is a great sign that internet porn is no longer the seedy back-alley business it used to be and has matured in to a big business, with all its pluses and minuses.
Sure, it is tougher for small site to get a big following when you've got these name-brand mega-sites out there, but you also know these big sites have too much invested to try and get a quick buck by stealing your credit card. And yes - there are still sites out there that might do that - but there are still used car dealerships selling stolen cars - just in both cases you'll find the majority are legit.
Internet porn seems to be thriving on the "Long Tail" business style - selling less of more. The industry is expanding to cater to every taste be it an ATM site that offends some people or a classy glamor site that is too tame for others. This ongoing expansion is a plus for porn users in general as they are more and more likely to find exactly what they are looking for. Plus, the big business nature of it all is making it safer for the models, safer for the customers and a longer lasting enterprise for the producers.

I think the 1500 is just barely enough. It requires me to make my reviews more concise but it can be quite difficult. I have a tendency to ramble at times, so the limit forces me to get to the point quickly - there have been occasions that I've had to leave out details though.

I would prefer an in-depth preview, with actual membership resolution preview videos and photos.
Trial memberships are a pain in the ass, a good preview like available on AbbyWinters.com is much faster, more informative, and easier.

I answered "No" because there is no way to "stumble" upon it. It might as well have Neon signs announcing its presence. I have an entire hard drive dedicated to the storage and presentation of porn. Most people laugh about it and then quickly get drawn into the endless void that is searching through porn. I have enough variety that they almost always find something they dig (and also stuff they don't, lol). While I understand some people don't care too much about porn, I find repulsion toward it, or total lack of interest toward it, entirely alien. Needless to say - none of my associates feel this way, thankfully.

"DownloadThemAll" for Firefox works wonders - I recommend everybody try it :-) No password issues as it is integrated directly into Firefox so it by passes that issue, really important for sites with the Security Codes that screw up a lot of other managers.

Generally, screen resolution and bit rate are enough to judge. The issue is the amount of compression they used - if you start seeing blocks showing up during high-speed motion, they have compressed it too much and I wouldn't classify that as HD.
I find that DVD quality is equal to about 1.5GB of data for 1 hour of video, HD I would say you are looking at 1GB for 25min of video.
Roughly speaking - the visual complexity of the content can vary this quite a bit.

Accidentally replied twice here guys - sorry. I can't seem to delete the damn thing so I guess I'll say more. While granted I download more the 10GB a month, the problem really becomes what to keep, how to organize it, will I ever remember to browse this section again - et cetera.
I currently have 3 major categories, Photos, Videos and Mixed Media. Of course my hard drive got all confused recently and after XP tried to fix it, it seems to have deleted my entire Photos category - I wasn't pleased. At any rate - after that I categorize the content by the original site.
I'm hoping eventually streaming will become so painless that I won't need to save video anymore. Because frankly, most of my archives I don't browse frequently at all - I just subscribe to a new site when I'm tired of the current ones. If prices stay low enough, and streaming becomes better, I'm stop archiving all together.

Of the thousands of fetishes out there, peeing seems to get a bad wrap. Granted it isn't for everybody, but I really don't see it as much different from squirting.

I have to say I wouldn't ever submit a negative Trust Rating without some sort of explanation. How else are the other users to know if you have a good reason to not like the user because of their comments / reviews as opposed to you just being offended by their name or some other trivial reason?
The required comment seems like a great idea and will hopefully make the Trust Ratings more accurate. I hope more people will add constructive criticism to the comments as a result.

Granted I was a member of this site about 5 months ago - so they should be considerably larger now, but at that time there were 30 videos and every video was downloadable as one part - average file size 500 MBs. I have 8.75 GB of the site's videos that have survived since my membership - so I recommend the site pretty highly. I just didn't continue the membership because the updated too damn slow. I'll probably rejoin in a few months and then quit again after I strip the site again, lol.
