One drawback to this site is that it used to be part of a bigger network. Not long ago a membership to NVG also included Exploited College Girls, Black Ambush and Backroom Casting Couch. (There are a few other sites that aren't all the good.) When the split the network up this way it really reduced the value but both of the new, smaller networks are still worth joining.

I agree with you that NVG has really improved over the past few years. When I first joined this network maybe four or five years ago it was my least favourite site there. But my opinion of it has changed pretty much based on the same reasons that you note in your review.

This is purely subjective but whenever I join this 'network' I just consider Net Video Girls an add-on and don't download much from it. Back when I first started joining I think all there was were Exploited College Girls (my favourite), Backroom Casting Couch (my second favourite) and NVG. I think part of my thoughts about NVG is that the site is just so bad. It really could use a thorough modernization.
Having said that, I do have some scenes from NVG that I really like.

A great thing about this site is that we can agree to disagree because of different tastes. I'm a big fan of Exploited College Girls and many of the things that you see as negatives I really like. Sure, I'd change a few things but I like the interviews because so many of the models don't show up elsewhere.
I will have to admit to coming around a bit on NVG. I was a member recently and I found I liked many of the scenes more than I had in past memberships. I just wish they'd ditch the 1990s looking website!

You raise an interesting point that I've never considered - that the site access as a bonus to the other sites is different than if you joined through NVG. I have nothing to go on but speculation, but I'm guessing that the site access is the same whether you get a membership as part of the ECG/BRCC/NVG or whether you join specifically through NVG and get access to the other two. Maybe someone else can weigh in on that point.

I was a member there up until about three weeks ago. I have to say that of the three sites that come with that membership (Exploited College Girls and Back Room Casting Couch being the other two) I think NVG is the weakest. Some of that is subjective so I’ll try to explain.
My primary reason for joining when I do (I’ve joined maybe five or six times now) is to get access to ECG. BRCC is a great added bonus that adds value to the membership but NVG is a take-it-or-leave-it part of the deal. The scenes are all fairly well done and many of the models are attractive (though some aren’t) so on that scale the site does okay.
Where the site really falls flat is in site design and technical stuff. I’m a fan of simple site designs but NVG looks like it was designed in 1995 and not updated since then. I’ve never found a search mechanism though there may be one. The only way I’ve ever found to sort the videos is by a bar at the top of the screen that allows you to sort by year. I don’t know how that date would work with a remastered video. Once you’re on a specific year page you have some very small thumbnails that really don’t assist in deciding if you want to download the scene. I can’t recall if there is any better way to see the model before downloading.
Speaking of downloading, if there are downloading options I’ll choose MP4s and look for 1280x720 if it’s available. That depends on the bitrate too as I’m looking for the best compromise between video quality and file size. The files are MP$s but if there is an option for different resolutions I didn’t see it. Even the most recent uploads are only 656x368, 2500kb/s and 29fps. That resolution is very low by today’s standards. If I’m incorrect and there are better options for downloading I hope that someone else will weigh in and let us know.
There is a big element of subjectivity here, but if this were a stand-alone site I wouldn’t join unless the price was under $10. The site itself and the video quality are too far below industry standards. But (and this is subjective again) Exploited College Girls is a great site (though the attractiveness of the models is slipping a bit in the past eight months) and Back Room Casting Couch is a good site so if you have any interest in those I’d recommend joining and you get NVG as a bonus so you can explore that.
As I said, I don’t have an active membership there now but if you have any specific questions I can try to answer them. I hope this helped you a bit.

Excellent review, as usual. I had pretty much given up on NS. I keep a running Word table of memberships and the last time I joined was in 2018 and I made a note that it probably wasn't worth going back for at least a year because of slow updates.
You've caused me to rethink this and I'll check them out again soon.

I agree. 8000 is fine for me too. What I don't like, and what I have occasionally found on other sites is 1080p videos with bitrates as low as 3000kb/s. Those look noticeably pixilated in curves and movement. And let's face it, porn is all about curves and movement!

Yes, there are two bitrates available for each resolution. I agree that this is unique and I really liked the option. I often find that I download a 720p or 1080p file and the bitrate is so low that the video still isn't crisp. And it's also a good opportunity for the member to balance bitrates and file sizes. This is a great option and it'd be great if other sites did the same.

Most of what I had written in my previous review from six years ago remains true but there are some significant differences that warrant some updated comments.
One comment I made last time that bears repeating is that this isn’t a true network. It really is simply a large porn site and the individual “sites” are really better thought of as just specific tags. This is not intended as a negative comment though.
This is a site I join occasionally but not as frequently as with other sites such as Evil Angel, for example. The reason I don’t join this site as often as other studio sites is that the updates are less frequent. My advice to anyone considering a recurring membership is to look at the frequency of updates first.
There are two major changes to the site since the last time I reviewed it. The first is that it has had a bit of a refresh in some of the sub-sites. The main site has not had a major refresh but that isn’t a negative either because the site is generally well laid out and logical to use.
The second major change, and I admit this is more subjective, is that New Sensations has really moved into serving several specific niches. When I last reviewed the site I commented on the fact that NS had been creating some incest-themed porn. They have continued this and it’s fair to say that it has become a staple on this site. If you have an interest in any kind of “step” porn this is really a site you ought to consider joining. Whether it is step-parents having sex with step-children or step-siblings having sex you will find a lot of it here. All of the scenes involving “step” porn start with a disclaimer making it clear that these are just actors. None of the scenes that I watched (and I watched a lot) played on the fantasy of genuine incest porn. For example, there are no scenes where the female model plays the actual daughter of the male model. They are always “steps.”
Another theme that takes centre stage here is wife porn. On many sites, wife porn is done as cuckold porn or some play on that. Here, there is very little cuckold porn though many of the scenes have the husband watching. The main difference is that most of the scenes focus on the female model and not on the “husband” being humiliated or degraded. I’m not a fan of cuckold porn so I still enjoy watching the scenes. It’s also worth noting that in many of these wife-themed scenes the female model is still relatively young. Just because it is wife porn doesn’t mean that it’s MILF porn as well.
As I mentioned above, the sub-sites on the network acting as useful tags for sorting among the various niches. One in particular caught my attention simply because of my interest in that genre. While it is listed here as a separate site, Family XXX, is really just a way of sorting out incest-themed DVDs on the site. I found this particularly useful since so much of this genre relies on female models who have a specific look (young and petite) and often feature these models with older men such as Steve Holmes. If incest or old/young porn is something that interests you a NS subscription just to get access to Family XXX is probably worth considering.
The site currently has close to 1500 DVDs available and most of these have four scenes per DVD. The site updates irregularly and adds one scene every 2 to 5 days.
As I noted in my earlier review, and is to be expected, older scenes are offered in both fewer and lower resolutions. All newer scenes, however, are available in both streaming and downloads in a range of resolutions. Both streaming and downloads are available in 720p (3000 and 6000 kb/s), 1080p (9000 and 12,000 kb/s) and 4K (16,000 and 25,000 kb/s). I find it unusual that NS has completely dropped lower resolutions, though it seems reasonable that people who would watch on their phones would likely have sufficient data to go with the lowest 720p scenes anyway.
NS is a major studio and this is reflected in their productions. All of the scenes use top-tier talent and the scene settings, lighting, sound and editing are all excellent. There is no doubt that these scenes are professionally produced, directed and edited.
I haven’t encountered any issues using a download manager to queue scenes. I didn’t find that downloads were throttled and I didn’t find a download limit either. I found that download speeds were generally fast and on par with other studio sites.
LKLK noted recently that he had trouble cancelling. I was billed through Epoch so I’m confident I won’t have this problem.
The bottom line for me is that I would highly recommend New Sensations for anyone looking for a large studio site with mostly mainstream porn but that also serves some specific niches like incest porn. If you are subscribing for the first time this site offers an exceptional value. If you’re coming back to the site my recommendation is that you make this an annual visit because the update schedule is relatively slow |

I'm a fan of this site too. I reviewed it back in 2014 and scored it relatively low but if I re-reviewed the site (which I may do) I'd definitely score it higher now. A couple of the flaws I noted back then are gone.
Like you, I think the overall quality of the porn is excellent. I prefer porn that has a set-up rather than just jumping right into the sex and New Sensations delivers that.
The one negative comment I'd make, and it really only affects true collectors, is that the site updates fairly slowly so I only join once per year. Other sites, Evil Angel for example, update more regularly so I rejoin more frequently.
But I can't fault New Sensations for their quality.

I'm no fan of caps either, but one this low is a real pain in the ass. What's especially annoying is that they offer HD scenes that will reach the cap very quickly. Their justification for it is that it prevents some heavy users from hogging the bandwidth but if that happens at this site why isn't it an issue at other sites too? And isn't throttling a better solution for those rare times when there might be a lot of users on the site? I'll never be a fan of caps, but I can live with reasonable ones. This one isn't reasonable.

New Sensations falls into the same trap that seems to snare so many studio websites: great porn let down by a just-okay site.
While they market themselves as a network they really aren’t in the true sense of that word. While there are 22 other ‘sites’ in the network those sites are just a repackaging of what is available on the main site. If you go to the main New Sensations site you’ll have access to everything. I don’t see this as a major negative issue because it isn’t that big a deal and it is common with studio sites. I only point it out so no one joins expecting several distinct sites. Think of the ‘sites’ as just a high-level filter.
The site is well laid out with search functions, drop-down menus and tags. I found that the site was easy to navigate and find what I was looking for.
The site currently has around 1100 DVDs with over 5100 scenes so it is hard to argue that you’re not getting a lot of porn for your money. The production values really make most of the DVDs stand out. The lighting, sets, editing and sound are all well done here, even on older DVDs. And regardless of the year the DVD was produced, you’ll find a who’s who of porn stars here.
All the scenes are available in streaming or for download. The downloads are available in Flash, MP4 and WMV. A major flaw with the site is that it has only been since 2013 that they started offering HD (1280 and 1920) so there are currently only about 200 DVDs in HD. To make matters worse, the site opted to use low bitrates so even the HD files don’t look as good as similar sites. When available I downloaded the 1280 files and they’re only 4000kb/s which means they can look blocky at times. Prior to 2013 the MP4 file available was for mobile devices so that leaves WMV as the best option. The older files come in at 640x480 and 2000kb/s. With specs like that they can only look poor by today’s standards, but I won’t complain because some of these are quite old and not available elsewhere. 1024x576 is also a fairly common file size though the bitrates here are low too at 2000.
The Catch-22 with the site is that while I may have been better off downloading the highest resolution available (I usually balance quality and file size) but that would make the download limit even more frustrating. If you are interested though, the best files are the MP4s at 1920x1080 but the bitrate is still low at 4000. They do look better though.
And speaking of download limits, there is one here. A problem with it is that they have created one that is theoretically not that bad but set it up in a way that functions in an annoying way. A member is only allowed to download 6GB of data in an hour and when you exceed that your access is cut off for an hour. Sure, the site can argue that they still give you access to 144GB per day, but given that they offer HD and if you have a fast internet connection you can find yourself cut off after not too long. I should also advise that the message that comes up is incorrect: it states you’re cut off for 12 hours, but it is only one hour. I confirmed that via email. To add to the frustration, you can’t even view the site while you’re in exile. (This applies to a full membership; it may be the full 12 hour lock-out for trial memberships.)
Many of the DVDs are incomplete, which seems really odd for a studio site. The reason I can say this with some authority is that there are many DVDs that only have one or two scenes available, where the store version would have more than that.
The site supports download managers (though they cite these are a reason for imposing a limit).
While the studio covers the typical porn niches, they do have one that is fairly unusual and likely somewhat controversial: incest porn. Don’t shoot the messenger: I’m only pointing out that it exists here. The scenarios in these videos use a stepdaughter/stepfather, stepson/stepmother or step-sibling tryst as the basis for the scene. While I would in no way count myself as a fan of this genre I did find myself drawn to them because the scene set-up was really well done with a sexual tension building for the first few minutes. I’m a big fan of porn scene set-ups and like when there is a sexual tension created, and these scenes do it well. Besides, it is just fantasy and I’m not going to say no to scenes featuring some of my favorite stars.
I’m really on the fence about recommending this site. Like so many other sites they have some great porn on offer but drop the ball in how it gets offered. The download limit is frustrating but is obviously just a short-term frustration while the low bitrates (and resulting lower quality videos) is something that will mar your viewing for years to come. If the site has some stuff you really want then I would recommend it even with the limitations, but if you’re just looking for a site to join you may want to keep looking. |

I'll always be opposed to download limits but at least in this case they aren't as bad as we originally thought. But that's like being grateful for syphilis because it could have been AIDS instead. 6GB is too low, even for an hourly limit. I'm using a manager but not to queue scenes at NS. But I also have a fiber op connection that runs fast so I can easily hit 6GB in an hour. The strange thing is that I get the same warning that you wrote about (2GB in 12 hours) but the email said differently and the email is accurate about the 6GB. I can't speak for the hour cut-off because I haven't tried at just past an hour.
This is another case of a studio site falling short of what they could be. They have some excellent porn but they don't make it easily accessible.
One thing that we definitely don't disagree about is the need for the site to be more open about the limit. I did find the Terms of Service and I couldn't find anything in there about the limit.
