I have eight Western Digital Passport drives. The oldest us probably five years old now. They aren't plugged in all the time, but I've had no problems with them at all. I like the passports because all they need is USB and not AC.

Two thumbs waaaaay up for Hustler in dropping the DRM. Based on the reviews here I joined this site a few hours ago. I'm impressed. It's rare for me to stay with a site longer than a month, but from what I've seen so far Hustler will probably be a multi-month membership. I'll report back if I find anything worth adding to the reviews already here.

Thanks for this update. This site interested me and you've saved me some money and frustration. A couple of years ago I had memberships to both Little April and Little Summer. These are both attractive young women but the video quality was horrendous. It sounds like nothing has improved in the past couple of years. If you were able to download the entire content so quickly that tells me there is nothing new here, and the quality is still poor.

I’m not sure I agree with the comment that Penthouse may cross the line into porn. A couple of years ago, definitely it did. Penthouse had full penetration shots, so that clearly crossed the line into hardcore, and that is definitely porn. But today, I’m not sure. I bought a copy of the January 2009 issue yesterday (my first porn magazine buy in well over a year) and was really amazed by how much Penthouse has changed. Instead of chasing Hustler and the magazines at the hard end of the spectrum, Penthouse now seems to be chasing Playboy and maybe even Maxim. I was really disappointed. If I wanted softcore I’d wank to the Sears catalogue.
On a totally unrelated note, there was a pictorial of Teagan Presley in the Penthouse that I bought. I’m a big fan of her earlier work and to be honest I looked at the pictorial and didn’t recognize her until I read the print. Sure, she’s heavily airbrushed, but with her pumped-up front end she’s lost that girl-next-door look that I used to love about her. (I picked up a copy of the 1 Night is Paris DVD out of curiosity. I still have it only because one of the bonus scenes on the DVD is Teagan in Cum Drippers 6. She looks amazing there. Now, she has lost what I found appealing about her. )

You're clearly right when you say that some webmasters look at this site. The example of ZTOD is perfect. I remember when they stopped the DRM they seemed to be genuinely interested in what we at PU had to say. The resolution of the files was crappy at first but the ZTOD webmaster caught hell for that too and that was changed.
I do still stand by my comment about companies like Vivid and Anabolic. I don't think they continue to use DRM because they feel a need to protect their stuff, I think that they just don't give a flying fuck about their customers.
BTW - I suggested a user poll that links DRM and file sharing. Almost universally, it seems that PU members hate DRM, so I wondered if we put our money where our mouths are. Does the average PU member bitch about DRM and then post their non-DRM files on a sharing site. If the folks at PU choose to post that poll it will be interesting to see the results.

I can't help but read this is light of a recent user poll where the overwhelming number of members said that DRM issues are their #1 pet peeve. Vivid could have one of the best sites on the 'net but by allowing streaming only and no DRM-free downloads they lose that ability. This is just my opinion of course, but I suspect that this isn't some error in using a 5 year old business model, but this is just showing disrespect to customers. If anything, it puts studios like Red Light, 3rd Movies, Zero Tolerance, Diabolic and German Goo Girls in a better light. Those companies realized that they could keep customers happier AND make more money by losing the DRM. (Funny that link between satisfied customers and making money…)
Down with Vivid (and other companies like Anabolic who thumb their noses at customers); up with Pornusers for giving us a forum to get this important information.

For me, all of the things in the list can cause me to not join a site but the biggest one by far that ALWAYS stop me from joining is DRM. DRM is a dinosaur. Sure, I can understand why some companies want to use them, but for those of us who don't abuse the rights of the owners it pisses me off that they think they can strip me of my rights as a purchaser.
Most of the other issues listed I can put up with if the site is something that I really want to see.
Anything but DRM. Death to DRM!

Thanks for the review Picky. This is one of the many advantages of this site - I didn't know Slaves existed until you reviewed it. BDSM is my favourite genre so its great to have another site to check out.
Are you familiar with the material from Kink.com? They have sites like The Training of O, Sex and Submission and Water Bondage. If you are familiar with Kink, how does Slaves compare to what Kink has? If you aren't familiar with Kink, disregard my question, but do yourself a favour and check them out.
And I just gotta add - OUCH! That price! If it is a good site I'll happily pay it though.

Sorry for the lack of detail Cybertoad. I guess I assumed that a lot of people would be familiar with Kink stuff, and that probably just isn't the case. To answer your questions:
Content details: The Eastern European scenes start with a scantily clothed woman in some sort of bondage and often with a ball gag. She is paraded around in public and made to do humiliating things like drink from a dog bowl or let people touch her. The scenes then shift to sex in some outdoor and public location. The U.S. scenes are more like a gangbang scene with bondage and Kink props used. There are several scenes in each shoot using a different bondage or prop setup. In the U.S. scenes the 'public' element is a little strained in that it is shot inside for obvious reasons, but the trade off is that the models are more widely known.
The humiliation level in both the European and U.S scenes is fairly high.
Video quality: decent. I'm not a techie so I don't know what is objectively good. The bitrate is 2140kbps and the dimensions are 960x540.
Other stuff: There are no dowmload limits that I'm aware of on any Kink site. If there was one, I'd have surely run into it on their other sites. There is no DRM either.
As for the thread where people are complaining about it being too tame, I can understand that but I don't really agree. It's a subjective thing. I read the thread and many people seem to want to see specific things, especially more humiliation. I like the balance they have now, though if they added more humiliation I wouldn't complain.
Another complaint that I do agree with is that the shoots in the U.S are a lot like other Kink stuff, but just with a gangbang thrown in. It looks a lot like Training of O or Sex and Submission.
If there is a valid complaint in the thread it might be that the site seems to advertise more humiliation and less sex, when what you get is less humiliation and more sex. I don't necessarily agree with that since I think having a woman tied up and fucked outside while people watch is pretty humiliating. But I won't complain if they ramp it up.
I also note on the forum link that you posted that there is only one thread that has anything negative, so for the most part people seem satisfied.

I agree 100% with you that having to use "Kink Dollars" can hide the price of the videos you want to buy. I'm no expert on using them as I only did it once. I bought the advance video for Public Disgrace because i really wanted to see it.
To answer your question though, I can't really say. The problem is that to get the PD video I needed a certain number of Kink dollars and since they only appear to be available in certain values, I had to buy more than I needed. So I actually had to pay more for the video than Kink was actually charging because I don't think I'll be able to use the remaining Kink dollars without buying more. (This is just a guess, but I think I had to buy 30 Kink dollars for $30US and then used maybe 22 Kink dollars for the scene.)
For me, I think that if you only want one or two scenes you are probably better off getting a one-month membership.
