Good review. Thanks for the info on this site. The preview ability for the site is pretty weak. There doesn't appear to be any option to download any samples of the photos though there is one sample video. A couple of the thumbnails lead me to a question that you may be able to answer: is there any public nudity on the site?

It depends on the type of site. A DVD site buying content has a vast catalogue to choose from and should update more frequently than a site with exclusive content. Sites on the Kink.com network (The Training of O, Sex and Submission, Device Bondage, Public Disgrace, etc.) only update weekly but given the unique content that seems fine to me.

Maybe I’m too much of a pessimist, but I think that I’ll live to see the day when porn is heavily restricted in most of the world, and I’ve only got another 40 years on this planet.
In the U.S. and Canada the Christian fundies still seem to be in their ascendancy. The U.S may have a bit of a reprieve with Obama as President, but Canada is suffering under an extreme-right conservative government with senior leaders who are fundamentalists. In both countries the fundamentalists are making inroads in government. And in the U.S., consider the rise of the tea-bagger movement. Oops, I mean Tea Party Movement. This is a hard-right libertarian movement, but libertarianism in the 20th century isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. Many people view these hard-right parties and movements as wanting to limit government, but the reality is more harsh than that. The reality is that these kinds of people simply want to limit the rights of anyone who doesn’t agree with them. Consider the tea-bagger who was just elected to the Senate. He looks harder to the right than many hard-right fundamentalists. He may be ‘libertarian,’ but I’m sure he has no interest in permitting free adults to choose to view porn.
In North America (and maybe other parts of the planet too) there is another powerful and growing movement that will want to attack and outlaw porn. I’m referring to both men and women, but the generic term I use to describe them is the ‘soccer-mom movement.’ I think this group may be more important and dangerous to personal freedoms than the fundies. The soccer-moms want to create an idealized Disneyfied world. Look at what they did to Vegas and Times Square. These were adult playgrounds and now they’re family friendly and squeaky clean. Consider the safety Nazis who make up a sub-set of the soccer moms as they go about making pansies of everyone. I’m a serving Army officer and sometimes I wonder how militaries are going to be staffed in the future when the younger generations get old enough. Mom won’t be in a combat zone to wipe their precious noses and kiss their bruises.
So in North America we have the fundies and the soccer moms. These groups may be at play in Europe and elsewhere too, I don’t know. I do know that much of Europe is letting fundamentalist Islam make inroads, and these people aren’t exactly going to be pro-porn.
I guess I’m in a really pessimistic mood today, but I think porn will be restricted on all levels: production, distribution and use. Some commenters here note that you can’t regulate the internet so can’t really control how people use it. There is some truth to that, but imagine a future where regular porn is treated the same way as child porn is now. Hmmm… why did that cop car just pull up my driveway?
So all of the above explains why I’m downloading porn like a mad bastard while I can. That and the fact that I really am a mad bastard…

Thanks for the comment Goldfish. You’ve reviewed more sites than I have so you’ll also know that there can be no better compliment than for someone to say they’ll take or avoid a membership based on your review. As I said above, I’m not a fan of this kind of site either but ALS Scan has all petite women which I like, and the scenes are not repetitive as with other sites. The Caribbean stuff and the public nudity is icing on the cake. It really is an excellent site.
When I joined a few weeks ago there was a special offer of $9.95 USD to join ALS Angels. While this site has a lot of similarities with ALS Scan it also has some differences. I’m thinking that since it is a stand-alone site I may do a review of it even though it is the same company – but it isn’t part of a network. If the special offer is still available I’d recommend it. It is excellent value at $9.95.

Thanks for the tip. I may have to take a membership in June or July to see that. While I really like nude beach stuff (and ALS does this very well) I don’t have the same interest in nudity on a public beach as I do with true “public” nudity. Still, after I downloaded all the true public nudity on ALS I started on all the Caribbean stuff.
As for “financing” the trips, I have no problem paying membership fees for sites of this quality. ALS Scan has the value-for-money equation figured out and I’m happy to pay for the quality and volume. It’s also one reason why I never share porn with friends – I just tell them what sites to get a membership at so they can contribute too.

This is obviously true for everyone, but the number depends on whether or not I have a membership to a site that week that is worth downloading an amount from. If I have a membership to a great site I might be up to 50GB, if not, it might be zero.

That's also a clear theme that runs through the other Kink sites that I've had memberships in. Kink has really mastered the 'illusion' of extreme BDSM while still making it clear that the model not only consents but is also having a lot of fun. I like that about Kink.

messmer - I'm glad the site stands up to the praise and high marks I gave it. I wondered if I was just blinded by personal preference, but with you liking it too that makes my opinion a bit more objective.
I agree with you on the interview thing. The closing interview is probably sufficient. But given that Kink is really pushing some limits I suspect that they want (or have been told by their lawyer) to make everyone 100% certain that this is all consenual. Maybe if Max Hardcore had done something similar he wouldn't be a guest of the State in a prison now. Not that I think what Max did and what Kink does are really comparable... Max really tried, and usually succeeded in being degrading. With Kink, it's all part of the consenual fun.

I went ahead and took a membership (and added ALS Angels for $9.95) and I'm pretty impressed. You're right that public nudity isn't all that common but there is some. For what little is there I think it is still a decent value because the quality is so good. I think that part of my appreciation of the site is that it feature almost exclusively young, petite women. I'll let the rest of the PU gang in on more details once I've had some time to look around a bit more.

Yes. All the videos have multiple download options for format and size. These are mp4 HD, mp4 Ipod, wmv and wmv HD. Within each of those options there are usually five or six clips but above the clips there is an option to "download full movie." I can confirm that this option exists throughout the site and that it is the full movie.

turboshaft - just a quick question about ALS Scan:
Based on your review of ALS Scan and a look at the little bit offered as a preview on the site I am thinking of taking a membership. I'm normally more into hardcore sites, though some of the solo and girl/girl sites I've had memberships to I quite liked. One thing I noted on the website is that they say there is some public nudity there. Apart from hardcore, public nudity is probably my second biggest interest. In your experience, is there much public nudity on the site or is it few and far between? I took a membership to FTV Girls a while back based on the possibility of some public nudity and I was really impressed. I know that FTV Girls isn't a public nudity site, but I think the webmaster could be missing out on a potential market for those of us who like that. It turned out to be an excellent site overall, and excellent for public stuff too. So is there any detail or advice on public nudity at ALS Scan you can offer? Would that apply to their sister site (ALS Angels) too?
Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Given that the scenes tend to be fairly long and the site itself is so unique I think that there is decent value for the money. This is obviously a fairly subjective thing though. If you join one of the Kink sites at full price that does give you other sites at a discount. That can make it a little more appealing. If you have an ass fetish, this site is great.

I honestly never figured that I’d give a 99 to anyone either, but this site deserves it. The volume of material they have, the uniqueness of it, the download speeds and the customer service all support a high rating. The fact that they produce some of the most innovative BDSM available is a big factor. The fact that it is easy to access at a fair price clinches the deal.
I’ve never gone wrong with a Kink site. I’ve had recurring memberships to several sites and have never been disappointed. There are some sites that I’d not have any inclination to join, but I suspect that they would reflect the same high standards that I’ve seen.

If you haven't had a membership to any of the sites at Kink.com I can't recommend those enough. For BDSM stuff they are easily the best on the internet. They are pricey, but worth it. Once you join one site at full price I think you get a discount on others. Society SM and the other sites are excellent too, and definitely cheaper than the Kink stuff.

With the one membership (and I presume that you can join through any of the sites) you get all five sites. This includes Society SM, Fucking Dungeon, Perfect Slave, Cum Bots and Strict Restraint. I've added a mini-review under each of those titles to give specific details about each site. Most of the sites aren't all that different, with the exception of Fucking Dungeon which is BDSM (obviously...) with hardcore sex. The others feature a mix of bondage and forced masturbation, usually with a toy.
You will see some anal sex, but very rarely. The odd thing, I think, is that they have some models who are well known for doing anal who don't do much here. It does occur, just not often. It occurs on the bondage sites too, but again only rarely, and most often in the form of an anal hook.
I don't know your tastes, but if you're into BDSM I think you'll like these sites. Yes, they can get repetitive, but that's mostly because there is just so much material here. And there is no way that I'd call THAT as serious criticism!
If you have any more questions I'd be happy to answer them.
And thanks for pointing out that I didn't name the sites in my review. I've edited it so that people can see the sites I mean.
