I've always wondered about that too, and can only conclude that it has to be the model's choice. But it seems to me that once a model gets into this business she might as well go all the way.
My biggest beef with these solo 'teen' models is that they are almost always poorly done. I'll admit it has been a while since I joined one, but the picture and video quality tends to be poor.
But like you I'm still drawn to these sites. This one (and the network) are on my list of sites to join at some time.

I remember getting the email from the guy and having to read it multiple times to make sure I wasn't confused. The worst thing is that I really liked the site (aside from the streaming-only) and gave it a high score based on content but I said in the review that potential members needed to be aware that it is streaming only. As I recall now, his beef wasn't that I told people it was streaming but that I said he was unclear whether it was streaming. He pointed to his Terms of Service which were VERY vague as proof that he made it clear to people that the site was streaming only. I don't think the TOS was clear at all, and even so, how many people read the TOS before joining a site?
But I am still convinced that regardless of what he said his issue was, that he was really mad that I probably killed 90% of his potential business from PU members by pointing out that there were no downloads. (The site was new and hadn't been reviewed by the TBP folks yet.)

This is a site I've thought about joining and I still might even though it has a lot wrong with it. I think just having a reputable biller is enough to cure a lot of problems because I know my risk is just the cost of the membership.

Good point on a possible source of material for them.
I discovered something that I thought was odd about the site. I'm going through there and replacing some of my favourite scenes that I had downloaded as lower-res wmvs with the best resolution H.264 on offer and I noticed that Burning Angel studio gave VB almost everything in HD whereas other studios have nothing in HD. I assumed that VB licenced the material and decided how to upload it, but it may be that they're licence is a lot more restrictive.

It sounds like you and I are on the same path - now that we've taken the plunge into HD there is no going back.
I agree that if your tastes are for mature women this isn't the site for you as a frequent rejoin or as a long-term member: the updates you're interested in just aren't that frequent and they are rarely in HD. You're right though that my tastes make this a better deal. But the reality of porn is that my tastes are just better served by the market anyway. I do have a few niches that aren't well served so I can empathize with you in your search for good quality porn with mature models even if I don't share that specific interest.

It matters a lot to me - when it occurs. What I mean is that a webmaster doesn't need to respond to me personally, but when a webmaster replies here (or webmaster attitudes are reported here) that does impact on my decision to join a site. If a webmaster seems helpful, friendly and genuinely interested in providing a good site for members that is definitely going to make a positive impression. On the other hand, when a jackass threatens to sue me for revealing that his site is streaming-only, that likely means I'll never give him another dime.

I agree - VB is trapped in a cycle that they probably don't want to break out of, namely the need for five updates per day. With a $12 per month membership that limits them. But I'm assuming that at any given time VB must have thousands of members so it must still be lucrative for them - and I don't begrudge them for that. They provide a decent product for a low price.
But... I'm sure I'm not alone is saying that I'd stand by them if they went to one or two good quality updates per day. I think they could get away with that due to the huge size they've already built up.
I do think you've probably hit on a big part of the problem in that major studios might be reluctant to licence titles to them as that might divert traffic away from the studio's own site.

Thanks for the comments - and for correcting my error. They do upload 5 videos per day. I agree that if you have a specific niche you like you're better off going to sites that cater to that niche rather than relying on VB. The lack of anything above 640x480 on 80% of the uploads is a real drawback.

I’m not sure if there is enough new here to qualify as a review rather than a comment, but I can’t pare down what I wrote to fit the comment section. Please be gentle if you scold me – I admit to being pretty long-winded here at PU.
VB is huge and continues to add four new DVDs per day. When you add the low monthly fee, the fact that they allow download managers and put no restrictions on downloads the site is an incredible value. People who prefer stolen porn over paying a low fee for a massive collection of virus-free porn must just enjoy stealing stuff.
Because of their size they tend to offer a lot of niche material. Take ‘classics’ for example. I wouldn’t consider VB a ‘classics’ site because proportionally there aren’t that many, but in terms of raw numbers there are probably more classic titles here than on some specific niche sites. Same with a lot of other niches like BDSM and peeing.
This subjective, but I really like that VB is adding a lot more titles from Diabolic, Anabolic and JM Productions. These are hard to find as legal downloads so seeing them here is great. They’re all great studios, though JM is likely an acquired taste.
Now on to the bad news:
I think the old phrase “jack of all trades, master of none” probably applies here. This is just my opinion, but I think that VB stresses quantity over quality as a lot of their uploads are pretty crappy. Yes, I realize that there may be a lot of people out there who like grade-C European porn and that they probably get mad when a title from a big American or European studio with good production values and known models is posted. So I won’t harp on the fact that a lot of the uploads are low-grade titles.
I do think a valid criticism is the number of compilations they upload. I get the concept of compilations and I used to buy a lot of compilation VHS tapes and DVDs when that’s how I got porn. That made sense. If I wanted a bunch of scenes with models in schoolgirl outfits doing anal I could but eight titles with one scene each in them or buy one compilation. That was an easy decision to make in those days. But that model doesn’t apply to the current download concept. If all I want are those scenes with youthful models in anal scenes then I can just download it the first time it gets uploaded and I have it. I don’t need it reposted a second, third or fourth time. The good news is that there are usually other members who post comments to identify that the scene is a repost. The bad news is that in some cases the scene might have been posted a half-dozen times, sometimes are recently as a day or two prior. The problem, in my opinion, lies in the decision to buy material from studios whose sole business model is to package compilations FROM STUDIOS THAT VB ALREADY BUYS MATERIAL FROM. I don’t see why VB buys titles from studios like Pandemonium when all that studio has to offer is material that is already posted on the site. The cynic in me figures that VB does this in the relentless push to upload four titles per day.
My biggest complaint about the site is something that I’ve just recently discovered. About six months ago I made a decision that many of you had made long before that: life is too short for low-res porn. I have no data cap from my ISP, external harddrives are relatively cheap and getting cheaper per GB so I download better quality scenes now than I would have even a year ago. But here’s the problem with VB: they haven’t expanded their download options in years. The highest resolution they offer now in 75% of their files is 640x480 and that’s the same that they offered back in 2005 when they started. Yes, I know they offer one HD DVD per day (on rare occasions they offer more than one HD per day) but that still leaves 75% of their titles with download options that fall short of industry standards. I realize that with a lot of older titles they are dealing with lower quality video to start, but they should still offer better choices than they currently do.
I usually add some of the extra ‘channels’ with my VB memberships but I’m not sure I will this time as the ones I do add – Evil Angel, Vivid and Kink – all offer HD on their own sites while most of the uploads on the channels offer nothing higher than the same 640x480. (I should add that Elegant Angel offers about half of the titles on their channel in HD but Evil Angel and Vivid offer none in HD.) One great thing about the channels is that the price is still pro-rated in your first month. There is one Vivid title that I really want so I can wait until the last days of my membership and add it for a low cost.
Even with its flaws, I have to admit that VB is still an amazing value. Whether you’re joining for the first time or the 20th time, you can’t deny that they offer a lot of porn for a low price. As much as I complain, VB will remain in a constant rotation through my memberships for the foreseeable future. |

I agree 100% that interviews at the end are better, but the reason I prefer them there is I like to hear the model's perspective on the actual scene rather than hear about her theoretical likes and dislikes beforehand.
I'm okay with how they do the bondage and torment, but like you, I do wish they'd build in more humiliation and public scenes.

This site is part of the 21 Sextreme network that includes this and 13 other sites. The network is sold as the more extreme side of the 21 Sextury network. I’m a new fan of the 21 S1Sextury / 21 Sextreme networks and a long-time fan of good BDSM so I was definitely interested to see if this site met the standards set by many others in the two networks and how it compared to some of the better BDSM sites.
First a bit of a caveat: even if you are a fan of BDSM material you have to admit that it can sometimes get repetitive: girls in bondage can only have so many variations. The same can be said for a lot of other niches too, like massage and old-and-young. This site suffers from a bit of that as well, but I’m still glad I joined and still happy to have a lot of the scenes.
The site currently has 250 scenes and four new ones are added each month, though not necessarily on a weekly cycle.
One common element of most of the scenes is the same as with the other sites on this and the related network: the models are some of the most beautiful on the internet. For me, this increases my interest in the site since many of the models here aren’t true ‘fetish’ models.
The scenes share some other traits too: they all have the models in several different bondage set-ups (almost exclusively using rope), most have some other implements used, like ball gags, clamps or wax, and in most of the scenes there is actually sex, usually while the model is in bondage. This latter point isn’t unique to this site, but it isn’t available on every BDSM site. I suspect that legal concerns mean some sites just don’t take that risk. As a guy who likes watching anal scenes, there are some here but they aren’t in the majority.
One thing that is a bit of a negative for some (and others have commented on the same thing on other BDSM sites) but a probably a legal necessity is an interview at either the beginning or the end of the scene where the model ‘breaks the fourth wall’ and talks about what is about to happen or what just happened. As much as some people don’t like it I accept that given the extreme nature of a BDSM scene that is it probably necessary to keep the soccer-moms away. Personally, I find the interviews interesting and usually watch them.
The site is laid out in the same way as every other site on this and the related network, which is to say that it is simple but effective. There are some improvements coming with the addition of a large number of tags for sorting the scenes. This feature is visible now but not active so I can’t comment on it. If it works as planned though, it will be a great sorting tool.
Each page displays 36 large thumbnails showing the female model in the scene. Rolling your mouse over the thumbnail brings up so data on the scene, including model name and the date it was uploaded.
Clicking a scene’s thumbnail opens a new page where you have options to stream and download the scene. Immediately apparent is that there is an option to download just clips, but there is an option in all cases to download one full file. A trailer is also available. Streaming is available too, but I chose downloads.
There is a big difference in scenes uploaded before October 2009 and those uploaded after that. Prior to that date there were few options for downloads. In most cases those limited choices were a low-res H.264 file and a medium and high-res in WMV. Depending on when the scene was uploaded though, the high-res WMV is excellent. After October 2009 more options were made available, with three resolutions being offered in both H.264 and WMV. I found the mid-range H.264 to be the best compromise between quality and file size so I opted for that in most downloads. Those come in at 960x540 at 3000kb/s and 30fps. Subjectively they look great on a 23” monitor. (In the interests of clarity, there are approximately 170 scenes that have been uploaded since more options were offered.)
Download managers work well and I experienced no time-outs. Download speeds were better than I’m used to with similar sites.
Photos are also available and even though the site is really more of a video site the photos are well done and available in good resolutions. The lowest resolution I saw was 1280x853. Newer uploads offer that and 3504x2336. Zips are available.
The site has no real flaws: it has some great scenes with high production values and stunning models in a simple to use layout that allows download managers. What more could a BDSM fan ask for? I think that this site offers BDSM that is on par with the best out there, like the Kink sites and Society SM.
The bottom line is that if you’re a fan of good BDSM porn you won’t be disappointed by this site. The fact that it is part of a network and also comes with a TBP / PU discount makes this a great deal. |

This site's page at TBP says that it bills through CCBill, but clicking through to Melissa Pass (which gives access to Val's site too) says there is no independent merchant. I might consider joining, but I'd definitely prefer to see a reputable biller used. (Plus, my preference would be for the lovely Val to have A-cups, but a guy can't have everything...)
[Edit - I was browsing around on Val's site and it appears that if you join there (through CCBill) you still get access to all the sites on Melissa Pass - and it looks like the price is lower for a three month membership through Val's site.]

I recall reading a recent post at Adult DVD Talk from the producer of the stretch class series. I don't remember a lot of details, but I do recall that he seemed to think that he had just invented something cool and game-changing like a jet pack or something. It seems that this may be the 'new' Buttman for a while.
Don't get me wrong though, while I do wish that Stagliano would do more than this series I am quite content to watch a lovely young lady stick things in her bum for hours on end. The only thing that could make the concept better is if it started out as a women's beach volleyball game that turned into wall-to-wall bum insertions.
