I’m a fan of the casting niche and this was one of the few remaining reputable-looking sites that I hadn’t joined. I’m glad I did but if you’re a fan of this niche this is likely one of the weakest sites available in the genre.
To be fair to the site, I think that part of the problem is a language barrier in many of the scenes. Not many of the models speak English well, if at all, and the casting niche relies on a lot of conversation to set the scene up and create some heat. In this case that heat isn’t developed well because of the language barrier. Of more importance though is the fact that the site puts less effort into creating the myth of a casting video. When comparing the scenes here to one of the best, Casting Couch X, for example, language is only part of the issue. A site like CCX puts a lot of effort into creating the feel of a real casting that turns into a porn tryout. DVC doesn’t put that effort in.
The site’s main claim is that it offers a double view of all the scenes. There is a camera being operated by a cameraman and the male talent has a handheld camera that shoots the same scene at the same time in POV. If you use streaming the video plays within the site and there is a narrow band at the top where you have a picture-in-picture of the second camera. Hitting your space bar toggles between the two views. I don’t normally stream but I can see that this might be a good feature for those who do stream. But it might also be an answer to a question that no one ever asked. I’ll let you be the judge of that. A minor glitch is that the two views are slightly out of sync – only by a second or so but enough to notice. The bigger problem lies with the quality of the POV camerawork. I understand that it must be hard to do, but others have mastered the skill and the male talent/POV cameraman here hasn’t.
The models are all Eastern European or Russian and many of them are well-known in the industry. They’re all between 18 and 22 and all are petite and attractive. There aren’t a lot of fake breasts and tattoos. (Maybe those trends aren’t as popular in EE/Russia?) One issue with all sites that use EE/Russian models is that they seem to change their names on a weekly basis. It’s apparent here because the link to the scene will have one name and then when you watch the scene there is text of the model name and that is often different from what is listed on the site.
The site uses a simple layout with 15 medium-sized thumbnails per page that open into a page for the scene. There is no search function and I found that using the model search page didn’t work well but that may be due to the frequent model name changes even within the site.
There are some download options though they are limited and I don’t really understand why these are offered. The scenes are available in “Windows,” “Apple” and “Android” but in some cases all of them are MP4. There is only one file resolution in each type. Older videos have WMV available, sometimes as the only option. For each scene there are two downloads available: the main camera and the POV camera. One significant flaw in downloading is that the download speeds are about one-third of what I usually get. I used a download manager and had no problems with that.
Regardless of what file type is offered they all come in at 1280x720 at 5000kb/s and 29fps. They look crisp and have no pixilation issues.
The site shows 93 scenes but the oldest four aren’t available for streaming. I can’t say for certain that the site is now dead, but it used to update by adding one scene per month but the last upload was in February 2014.
The site is part of a small network of five sites in total. (One of them, Wanted GFs, isn’t worth joining for so avoid a membership if that’s all you want.)
One thing that I listed as a good thing though others will disagree and see it as a negative is that there are a lot of anal scenes on the site. I didn’t count them, but I’d say between two-thirds and three-quarters of the scenes have anal.
One minor glitch that was nevertheless annoying is that while the login page had a box to check to remember your username and password that didn’t work. Also, I couldn’t enter the other sites on the network through the links on the site. My username and password weren’t recognized. I had to do a Google search for the site and enter that way.
The bottom line is that unless you absolutely have to have all the casting scenes you can get your hands on, or if you really want to collect all the scenes you can from a specific model than it’s probably best to pass on this site. It’s well done, the videos look good and they have their double-view gimmick, but other than that the site is just an average porn site that doesn’t stand out from the crowd. |

I'm not really all that calm any longer. I went to the site and I see they have only a handful of videos. I'm pissed, but I suspect that the grief I'll go through to get a refund won't be worth it. I'll download what they have and chalk it up to experience.

I'll always be opposed to download limits but at least in this case they aren't as bad as we originally thought. But that's like being grateful for syphilis because it could have been AIDS instead. 6GB is too low, even for an hourly limit. I'm using a manager but not to queue scenes at NS. But I also have a fiber op connection that runs fast so I can easily hit 6GB in an hour. The strange thing is that I get the same warning that you wrote about (2GB in 12 hours) but the email said differently and the email is accurate about the 6GB. I can't speak for the hour cut-off because I haven't tried at just past an hour.
This is another case of a studio site falling short of what they could be. They have some excellent porn but they don't make it easily accessible.
One thing that we definitely don't disagree about is the need for the site to be more open about the limit. I did find the Terms of Service and I couldn't find anything in there about the limit.

I agree that this site is definitely on the 'do not rejoin' list.
While I can understand why a site MIGHT want to impose a limit having one so low doesn't make any sense. The site offers 1080p videos and downloading just one of those might eat up well over half of your capacity. So what I've got a membership to is a site where I'll only be able to download fewer than 60 scenes. That doesn't seem like a good value.
While it won't do any good I'm planning to email them to express my displeasure. The TBP review says that there are no terms of service on the site so I'm planning to point out that it is unethical to have such a restrictive limit without giving a warning of that. I'll also point out that when I find a site I like I tend to rejoin often. Theoretically I could spend a few hundred dollars on their site over the next few years but with this low limit they've got the only money from me that they will ever get. I hope they see a drop from people joining their site from TBP/PU.
One thing that I'm also confused about is that over at TBP Maggie posted a review on May 3 and only mentions that other users reported a download limit. That makes me wonder if New Sensations gave Maggie a special access and didn't tell her that regular members had a limit imposed. I wonder if the site falsified the access that they gave Maggie and hid this important fact from her. Had I known that the limit was on the full membership too I definitely wouldn't have joined.

I have no idea why the site owners continue to offer only one (low) resolution. This really is a case of some good porn let down by a poor site. The site and the downloads may have been state-of-the-art back when they started, but it really needs a modernization now.

I’ve often written that for a site to be great there needs to be three things happening: the porn has to be good, the site has to be good and the scenes need to be easily accessible in a way that members can use. This site is a case of only getting one out of three right, and that’s having good porn. But since that’s subjective your opinion might be different. I’m fairly confident that no one will disagree with my objective assessment that the site needs some work.
The genre that the site fits into is the quasi-amateur site where fresh-faced models come to perform a rare scene. The models are all relatively young (18-22), almost all are Caucasian, body types can vary a bit but most of them are petite. Some of the models have gone on to become big porn stars, but most are more obscure than that. While many of the models have other scenes (often on similar sites), most have little exposure if that’s something that you like.
This is a large site that started in 2000. There are currently 570 videos available and it appears that there is a new one added weekly. I say that it ‘appears’ that it updates weekly because I can’t be certain since none of the scenes are dated. All of the scenes follow a formula, which some will take issue with. I’m indifferent to sites that offer formulaic porn as long as the formula works, and in this case it does. The formula is simple: the POV camera pans up a bed to the model and she is introduced and interviewed. There are some poses with clothes, the clothes come off, there is oral on the male cameraman, there is usually (but not always) vaginal sex, and the scene always concludes with the POV cameraman jerking off on the model’s face. I’m no fan of watching a guy jerk off on a woman’s face (the jerking part, I’m fine with facials) but it’s so common in porn now that there’s really no point in complaining.
The cameraman (and presumably the site owner) is good at POV work but not the best I’ve seen. One thing he does right is recognize that the scene isn’t about him so he doesn’t try to upstage the models. Some will complain that he talks too much, but I find that doesn’t detract from the scene and probably helps it by keeping a connection between the performers.
As with many similar site, the main strength is the models who appear. Many are really good looking and worth watching.
One thing that I really like is that the models begin the scene in street clothes. I really prefer this over a sleazy porn outfit. The site made the right choice in this.
Apart from the good porn this site really has little else going for it. The site design is less than simple: it’s outdated. And apart from being outdated, some of the choices the designers made are just bad. For one thing, the site is backwards. When you enter the first page with scenes you’re on the page with the oldest videos. Once you’re on a page you want the only way you can decide if you want to download a scene is from a small thumbnail. If you like a particular body type you may be disappointed with what you download. There is no search function, there are no tags and there are no links if a model has more than one scene on the site.
The downloads themselves are well below industry specs. There are no options for file types or resolutions. WMV is the only type available. The two most common resolutions are 640x480 and 704x396. There are a few at 720x480. Bitrates are 3200kb/s. I’m willing to accept that older scenes won’t be available in better resolutions, but in 2014 these resolutions don’t cut it. At a minimum the scenes should be 1280x720. They don’t look bad, but they still need to improve.
Download managers are allowed and I had no problem with links timing out. Download speeds were the same as I get elsewhere.
When I joined many of the scenes (maybe a year and half of them) provided no model name at all. The site explained this choice as an attempt to reduce piracy since a search for the site name a model name would bring up tub-site links. While this is better than streaming-only or DRM, I found it annoying since I prefer to sort the scenes by model name and if I like the model I might be able to find more her elsewhere. Sometime in the past two weeks the site has reversed this policy and now includes the model’s name on page, though the download still has a generic name. I can live with that now that I know the model’s name and can change the file name.
So would I recommend this site? Yes, with some caveats and reservations. If you like this kind of porn (quasi-amateur, casting style) then it’s worth joining as long as you recognize that the site needs a lot of work and even the newest downloads aren’t up to standards. What baffles me is that the site owner obviously puts a lot of work into shooting the scenes and then drops the ball by having a website that has been past its ‘best before’ date for several years. |

Ordinarily I'd challenge someone who gave a score of 100 but I won't do that here for two reasons: 1) I know how great a site it is since I scored it at 97, and 2) you gave more than enough reasons to justify the perfect score. I agree with you that ALS Scan does EVERYTHING well. The porn is incredible, the site is logical, the downloads are easy and fast, the resolutions are better than usual in the industry and they provide all of this for a low price. I'm a big fan of their location shoots in the Caribbean. Those are hot and playful at the same time.
Have they ever shot more European public nudity stuff? The last time I was a member there were no new scenes like that. I'd love to see more of that since high quality public nudity is hard to find and this was some of the best I've ever seen.
Did you watch any of the b/g hardcore videos? If so, how are they? Are they artcore/glamcore or harder? Are there many b/g hardcore videos?
Finally, your account of the level of customer service that you got is inspiring. In a business where getting any response is unusual to get this level of service is amazing.
I really need to join this site again soon...

I agree that the upsells are what causes the site to lose a lot of credibility. But the baffling thing is that they don't need the upsells. They have an incredibly good product that sells itself. And the problem that many report with the upsells is that you don't even get a warning that you're heading into extra-cost territory. I didn't experience that. The one add-on I did buy was clearly an extra cost.

It seems telling that everyone here has either a positive or negative experience with BB. There is no one who seems to just a have a middle-of-the-road experience. And those who have had problems all link them back to billing issues. I shouldn't get too comfortable though, I will have to keep an eye on my credit card for the next while.
Latina Rampage does exist. I'm fairly sure it's part of the basic membership but I can't be 100% sure because I can't separate out the "SuperPack" that I added on. Latina Rampage has 114 scenes but the last one they added was in January 2012 so it is one of the sites that isn't updating.

Bangbros seems to be the most polarizing of the mega sites that gets reviewed here, and it doesn’t really have to be that way. The sites included with the basic network are large, many (but not all) are updating regularly and all offer some great porn. But working against BB is the perception of misleading signups and shady billing practices. It seems unreasonable to me that BB isn’t aware of these concerns since the misleading signups are obviously a choice they made (and the billing flows from that) and if they are aware of the concerns, it baffles me why a site of this calibre would continue to do that.
BB really needs no introduction, but I’ll add a quick one in case someone has just discovered internet porn. BB is a large network of sites, which isn’t unique, that offers sites catering to just about any niche a member could be interested in. Anal? Lesbian? Big breasts? Reality? Glory Holes? They’re all here. What sets BB apart from most other mega-sites is that (at least in all the niches I downloaded) they are done really well. So many other mega-sites have a feel of a low-cost buffet where your appetite will be sated but you won’t rave about the quality. In the niches I viewed I was pleasantly surprised to see that just because the network covers so many niches that they still seem to be able to understand what makes good porn within a specific niche. For example, I love both anal sites and glory hole sites and the BB sites Mr. Anal and Glory Hole Loads are among the best of each niche that I’ve seen. Each could easily be a stand-alone site and still have value. I have every reason to believe that the same thing applies to the niche sites that I’m not interested in.
The other great thing about BB is that they offer models from a range of ages, body types and ethnicities. The models also range from A-listers to relatively unknowns.
I’m going to break with my own convention of providing a lot of detail in a review because I don’t want to risk misleading anyone. The reason for this is that I added an optional “SuperPack” of sites that appears in the scenes available to me. To give the number of scenes available would include those and mislead someone who buys the basic membership. But don’t let me mislead anyone in the other direction either: the basic membership includes thousands of scenes. For a first-timer or a recurring member there is real value here.
The site started adding HD videos in January 2009. Prior to that the videos were available in WMV (852x480, 1500kb/s), and MP4 (720x404, 1000kb/s and 852x480, 1500kb/s). The HD videos are in MP4 and come in at 1280X720 at 3000kb/s. Those aren’t the best the industry has to offer, but they look good on both a monitor and a 50” TV.
The network is logically laid out and has a search function and also uses tags. I can’t speak for the effectiveness of those, as I’ll explain.
Perhaps the biggest issue with the network is their apparent use of misleading upgrades. Many PU members have reported that all they have done is click on a thumbnail and ended up joining something that they didn’t intend to join – and being billed for it. I have good reason to think that this is an accurate description of what can happen, so in the interests of providing a public service I’ll make four recommendations:
• If you only subscribed to the main network, when you go to the main page ONLY click on the link to the “Bang Bros Pack.” That’s what you bought and paid for. Clicking on any other link MAY cause you to join that site.
• When you’re in the BB Pack that you bought, be extra careful about using the search function and tags as these MAY bring you scenes in a site outside your pack. Opening that scene MAY cause you to be signed up.
• Keep your joining email – it will provide you a link to a site where you can cancel. (This worked for the main network for me, but I did need more effort to cancel the add-on even though I had the right link.)
• If you don’t want to be rebilled plan to cancel a bit earlier than usual in case you have problems. Your membership will still be active until the end of the subscription – at least it was for me. (I should also add that even though I had problems cancelling the add-on it was quick and effective.)
One other minor issue is that while download managers seem to be permitted, the short life of the links make it impossible to use a manager to queue downloads. Links die after 2-3 minutes, so even with a fast speed (I saw 11MB/s regularly) queuing more than two HD scenes wasn’t worth it.
So would I recommend this site? Absolutely. They are among the best – and maybe the best – mega-site on the internet today. They offer something for all but the most extreme tastes, and what they offer is top-quality. The website is logically laid out and easy to use. My bottom line with BB is much like it would be for a lot of sexual activities: have fun, but go in with your eyes open and use protection. |

I should add, in the interest of fairness, that my email received a response that was quick and effective. My advice to anyone joining an add-on here is to keep you joining email for any information you may need to cancel. I did, and though that didn't work I suspect that having all that information to provide in an email helped out.

I strongly agree with you - download limits seems to be a way to annoy that people who actually buy memberships. But if the limit remains as high as I found it (only when downloading the HD videos) then I can at least live with it. But I do wish RK was more clear about it.
