Nope. Not really sure why either. One of my favorite models is Maryjane Johnson. I could look at pics and videos of her all day long. But those of her when she was pregnant do nothing for me. Maybe it's the 'protector' gene in me that comes out and displaces the 'pervert' gene when I see a pregnant woman.

It always baffles me why a site like this has to stoop to such shady practices. As you've probably read in other comments you aren't the first PU member to be burned by BB. I got burned too - twice. I do still join the site but I treat it like a minefield as one errant click of your mouse and you end up with additional charges. BB has some excellent porn so it makes me wonder what they hope to gain by pissing of customers.
Just a warning - don't click on any links in any promotional emails you get from them. If they have your credit card information - surprise! - you just joined. The sender for their emails that I get is "Support." Support, my ass...

I had joined this site a while back when joining through TBP gave you the upgrade for free. That free upgrade is no longer offered. What I didn't realize was how useless the PSN membership is without that upgrade. I was planning to rejoin soon thinking that it wouldn't be too bad, but after reading your review I think I'll reconsider that. You just saved me some money and frustration. Thanks!

Thanks for weighing in on this thread. You make some valid points that will be useful for anyone else considering a membership here.
Towards the end of my one-month membership I realized that I needed to think about the site differently from a traditional membership-based site. I really did need to be more selective, but that isn't a bad thing. The next time I join (and there will be a next time with a three-month membership) I'll go in knowing that I need to approach things differently.
One point you mention that didn't occur to me but really needs to be highlighted is the sheer number of updates available here. It may have been me who contrasted LP with Kink. if I did it was more about the type of porn rather than the frequency of uploads, but you're right: this site adds a lot. And what they upload isn't cheap to make so buyers should expect to pay more.
I've always made the point that I'm willing to pay for porn because that means that more porn will be produced. The LP model is a clear example of that.
I'd agree that even with the confusing business model, the quantity of some unique and amazing porn makes this a best-in-class site. Admittedly this is a small class, but LP rules it.

I have to plead ignorance on this one. At a minimum, I download 1080x720 but in some cases that still looks like crap. I suspect that the dimensions are just one piece of the puzzle and that bitrate is a big part of it too.
Coincidentally, I think this an apt use of Justice Potter Stewart's comment about porn: I can't define it, but I know it when I see it.

I agree. That's ALWAYS a deal-breaker for me too. The only reason I joined was based on stingerxxx's comment that if you have Internet Download Manager the site streams in HTTP so you can capture that. Without that knowledge I would never have joined the site.
I hope I haven't broken any of the PU rules by revealing that.

I always read the TBP reviews but a disadvantage that they have (and I'm sure that this is the same of any review site, of any product) is that they aren't long-term customers. I rely on the TBP members who spend a longer time at the site over multiple memberships to find the real weaknesses at a site. Take download limits, for example. I don't fault the TBP reviewers for not finding a limit (provided that it isn't really low) because as a reviewer they're less likely to use the site as a real customer. If it's a snowy weekend and that new site I joined has a 100GB limit then I'll find it and report it. A reviewer, who is a more casual site user, would likely not find a 100GB limit.
I don't think that the TBP reviews are less objective than the user-based ones. They're likely more objective. But as a commercial review site they just don't have the time to spend on a site that a PU member has.
As for not flagging that scenes aren't exclusive, I really can't fault them for that either. Some of the PU regulars are encyclopedias of porn and I rely on those members for some of that information.

I have done so (or at least I think I have). Legal Porno claims to have a code embedded in each download that they can trace if the video ends up on a tube site. That doesn't bother me at all. If it helps stem piracy then go for it.

Thanks for taking the time to add your comments. I really like this site but their business model is certainly unusual. The porn they offer is certainly unlike anything else on the internet (that I've seen, and I'm an active buyer).
Thanks for noting that with the three-month membership there is an option to buy tickets at a discounted price. Another commenter figured out that the three-month option is the best deal but your information makes it clear that this is definitely the best way to go. I'll likely rejoin in six months or so, and when I do I'll follow the excellent advice I've been given here.
Welcome to Pornusers. This is the best site I've found for reviews and user-based participation. The staff here are excellent and the members offer a wealth of information. I hope you stay around and continue to contribute.

There are two things any prospective member should know before considering a membership here. The first is that the site offers streaming only (though a recent comment stated that with the right software the HTTP stream can be captured). The second is that this studio specializes in plot-based porn, some of it with a big budget and location shoots. If you prefer gonzo this might seem a bit tame for you. (One advantage to plot-based porn is that when the plot involves normal life – as opposed to pirates, for example – the model’s clothes and makeup are more natural. This is big plus for me. I’d rather see a model in jeans and light makeup than wearing PVC clothes and garish makeup.)
The site is fairly standard for a studio site and it has many of the same flaws that other studio sites have. While the porn itself is quite good, the site lets it down. Digital Playground is a lot better than some other studio sites, but not as good as many exclusive sites.
The site currently has just over 500 DVDs available. It certainly looks like all the scenes in each DVD are available. There is also the ability to sort by scene and while most of those scenes can be associated with a DVD it does appear that some of the scenes are (for now, at least) not part of a DVD. It may be that the scenes get assembled into the DVD once they’re all uploaded. It looks like there is one scene uploaded each day although there does appear to be the occasional gap.
As can be expected with any website that has material ranging from 2005 to 2014 the quality of the older stuff is less than the newer stuff. Most of the older DVDs are available in four resolutions: 720, 576, 480 and 320. New DVDs are available in 1080, 720, 480 and 320. Approximately 25% of the videos offered (and all of the new uploads) have the 1080p option.
I don’t normally join streaming sites, but one thing I noticed with the older movies could be an issue for some members. Even though you could select a specific scene from a movie, clicking on that scene started streaming the entire movie from the beginning. While it’s inconvenient to have to scrub ahead when you’ve already selected the scene you want, for those with a download cap this means you’re using unnecessary bandwidth to see a scene. This problem doesn’t seem to occur on any movie where the 1080p stream is offered. On those the specific scene you want is queued up.
Another quibble is that the tags don’t work well. There is an extensive list of possible tags so I selected ‘anal’ to get a sense of how many anal DVDs there were. The result was six DVDs. That was disappointing, but not entirely unexpected as Digital Playground does seem relatively more couple-friendly than other studios. But it turns out there is a lot more anal here than the tags revealed. The tags don’t appear to be an effective way to sort scenes.
A definite advantage to the site is that since this is one of the major studios and it’s been around a long time, their cast lists are usually a who’s who of A-list models. They also have a few exclusive models.
Speaking of models, this is a subjective complaint, but the studio tends to shoot larger-breasted women than I prefer. Many of them are natural, but a lot are enhanced. (Teagan Presley, a favorite of mine, has a lot of scenes here but they are almost all post-surgery.) If you like A-list models with bigger breasts though, this site should be considered.
The site isn't perfect but it does have more hits than misses. The streaming-only is likely a deal-breaker for many, but that may be offset by the 50% discount offered through TBP/PU. A membership gives you access to some big-budget porn with some of the biggest names in the business. This is a definite ‘maybe’ for a rejoin but as long as you’re okay with streaming I’d recommend checking it out. |

You and I are roughly the same age and for me the golden age of porn was from maybe 1993 to 2000. A lot of the reasons for that are personal and specific in that prior to 1993 porn videos were very hard to get where I lived thanks to draconian laws. But it became available in the early 1990s as porn started to move to gonzo. Gonzo then was a lot more fun to watch then the plot-based stuff of the 1970s and 80s. Those were the days when John Stagliano and Joey Silvera were creating and defining what would become modern porn. I do wish the quality was better, but I'll always be happy with a site that allows me to rebuild the porn video collection from my early days.
(In a way it's like music I guess. I grew up in the 1970s and most of the music I listen to is from that era. I'm not sure I could name five modern, popular bands.)

Going under the knife is the only potential reason that I would stop collecting NEW material from a star. It would never stop me from collecting and watching pre-surgery scenes though. And this isn't a hard-and-fast rule for me either. One of my favorite stars is Aubrey Addams and I continued to collect and watch her scenes after she got some (entirely unneeded) modifications. But those add-ons weren't garish and didn't hurt her overall look, except for a diminishment for guys like me who prefer small breasts.
One example of a model I used to actively seek out was Teagan Presley. Her meteoric rise in the business was entirely predictable given her looks and attitude. But then she took it to the next level and modified her looks substantially to join the ranks of models who do that and then seem to achieve a notoriety rather than fame. I don't collect new Teagan scenes, but the old ones will have to be pried from my cold, dead hands.
