Sounds like a pretty intense and creative site! If I were straight this is probably the kind of site I'd like - and to be honest with all the guys in it, it would probably do a lot for me even as I am!
Excellent review as ever - shame the site isn't updating anymore. Always makes me sad when a great site stops updating - it's nice it's still online but feels kinda abandoned!

Sounds like the classic regional billing to me - you have to pay extra even when you're using a slightly stronger currency.
It's sadly a way of life for European users, sounds like Canadians aren't exempt either.
CCBill, although a respected provider, does seem to be very willing to provide regional billing and doesn't require sites to make it clear that it's in place, which I think is misleading.
You often don't realise you've been overcharged until after you've joined.
I now always double-check what they're charging me in my local currency and how they compares in US dollars to what the site advertises itself as costing. It should be similar, if not exact due to currency fluctuations - but if it's several dollars more, you're being overcharged.

Excellent review, well-written and informative. I just can't get over this Japanese thing of pixelating out the genitals though - it's so weird. Is it a legal requirement or something?
For that reason I'd never subscribe to Japanese porn.
I do like the idea of them spooging over the newsreaders face as she continues to read the new though!

Hmmm seems very odd not to accept Visa! As CCBill do for most sites, I would assume that declining to accept Visa is something a site owner would do - perhaps Visa have slightly higher charges for transactions than MasterCard? Then the site owner might only want to accept a card which took less of their profit.
Or perhaps they've had trouble with Visa before - maybe they're too quick to take a cardholders site in the event of a dispute? No idea if these two are true, trying to understand why a site owner wouldn't take it. It can't be a CCBill policy or they wouldn't accept it for any site.
Otherwise I can't see why a site owner would refuse to accept Visa.

Are you sure? I've joined loads of CCBill sites and I only have a Visa card - it's been accepted on all of them! I'd double-check and if you're still have difficulty give CCBill support an e-mail.

Drives me nuts mate! As you say I'm used to paying a few dollars more but to be charged the same in £ as US users pay in $ is totally unfair.
It's over a 50% markup and cannot be explained by currency conversion fees.
Only way we can try to stop it is to boycott such sites I guess.

Strangely enough that's just been my experience!
I joined Baitbus.com, had a look at another of their sites, Hazehim.com and I clicked on "join now" expecting it to bring up the usual page showing how much it cost etc. but nope I was immediately joined up.
I got it cancelled and to be fair they were very quick, but only by using an e-mail address that Amanda kindly supplied me on this forum as the only contact I could see was a gmail one which seemed odd to me as they have their own bangbros.com domain.
I wonder if deleting any BangBros cookies might help? Or making sure you logout from the site you joined before visiting any others?
It certainly has put me off BangBros a lot.

I agree too. $29.95 seems to be a fairly standard price for porn and I think a ot of sites figure that's the going rate and so that's what they'll charge, but you've got to look at what you're offering individually and what the other sites are offering and decide on a fair price.
There's sites offering literally thousands of scenes out there charging the same or less than this!

Thank you for warning other users. I assume the site doesn't use an independent biller like CCBill or Verotel?
I won't join sites that do their own billing for this very reason.
